Students gathered as the new school year has started.
A handsome, laid back young man entered the crowded hallway, making the majority of female students along with some guys scream at the top of their lungs due to his presence.
Huo Yuchan.
Handsome and effortlessly popular, he carried himself with an aloof air that only made students chase his attention more.
He might be blessed with a charming look, but his personality is the total opposite of it.
He has been sick with these people, as if they hadn't seen him for years. Although he might not blame her parents for giving him the look he exuded, it is annoying to hear such squealing voices screaming out his name.
His exasperated expression gradually lit when his friend finally showed up.
"Still the popular boy I know Haha!" Yu Minghan playfully teased him and both their hands clasped in a smooth dap before pulling into a quick shoulder bump.
It was the kind of greeting that shows brotherly.
Yu Minghan even raised his hand and smiled at the students that made them giggle.
"Fuck off," Huo Yuchan just said as it sickened him to hear those words.
"Is Brother Xu still not here?" Yu Minghan, pertaining to Zi Xuan while looking around, hoping to find him.
"He's always late. Get used to it."
The hallway became more loud and crowded, surrounding them more and obstructing the passage too tight.
However, there was one last person trying to fit in who was unaware of her surrounding.
"Excuse me," Wu Xiuxin said, her voice in monotone and deep. The students on her way moved out and gave her some space to walk.
The loud noise from students turned suddenly into silence when she finally reached the middle of the crowd.
Her blanked eyes saw the confused reaction of students, circling her around with attention.
Huo Yuchan drew his attention to a young woman. He then observed her from head to toe.
She wore a black fitted jeans and a plain gray shirt. Her long and black hair tied in a ponytail. Her backpack clings to one of her shoulders.
Although she might have an almost perfect body and a slightly tall figure, the outfit she wore looked tacky by Huo Yuchan's standards.
'What the hell? Looks so unfashionable. That's not something a normal girl would wear.'
He joked inside his head, making him smirk ridiculously while looking at her.
Wu Xiuxin took a boring gaze at the two guys which she finally had a clue why the hallway become crowded.
Wu Xiuxin's brows furrowed as she was about to take a step, but she caught sight of Huo Yuchan in her peripheral vision, and it seemed he found her hilarious.
She met his eyes uninterestingly then proceeded to walk anyway.
Huo Yuchan, on the other hand, felt a shiver down his spine when the young woman threw a death glare at him. Those eyes felt different, not a normal person could ever do that to him.
Before she could even take another step, Wu Xiuxin almost met the floor with her face.
She didn't see that coming!
The crowd laughter could be heard and Yu Minghan was even louder, even caressing his stomach in so much laughter.
Huo Yuchan laughed at what he did, seeing how she slammed badly on the floor cracked him more.
He tripped her!
Wu Xiuxin couldn't move immediately but then she slowly stood and groaned.
Huo Yuchan watched her stand with a stifled laugh.
His laugh eventually shifted into a surprised reaction when she grabbed his collar without hesitation.
Everyone gasped and left dumbfounded to her immediate action.
"Oh my god!"
"She's out of her mind."
The whisper of every student can be heard as they couldn't believe a girl like her could treat Huo Yuchan just like that.
"What do you think you're doing?" Wu Xiuxin gripped tightly to his collar and ignored all the whispers around.
Her voice dripped with a cold tone as well as her eyes exuded with a rigid death glare as though her eyes could throw daggers and pierce him anytime.
Her hand on his collar was shaking in anger and Huo Yuchan could feel it.
He even found it amusing and smirked.
"My bad. It already happened. I can't take it back—" Huo Yuchan's words were left hanging when Wu Xiuxin blew his mouth in the blink of an eye.
A moment of silence filled the air when a sudden action she did left them speechless.
It took seconds before it sinked in.
A few of them gasped in surprise and whispers shifted the silence.
"Damn, who the hell is she?"
"Is she a transferee?"
"Obviously."
"Huo Yuchan wouldn't let this pass. Now, this is chaos."
Wu Xiuxin was not deaf to hear such words but she remained uninterested in her surroundings.
The cold stare she had turned back into her usual poker face expression.
Huo Yuchan could feel a hot liquid dripping on his lip.
He couldn't fathom how, after years of being respected, this dull woman had managed to bust his lip in their very first encounter with a single blow.
And even tasted his own blood!
