They both thought of the warframes, which HYDRA now had the manufacturing method for.
With just a few modifications, they could produce a large number of warframes.
These could then be remotely controlled to launch a massive war across the World.
After all, they were just machines; with enough resources, warframes could be mass-produced.
Ivan was held in the factory for only a little over ten days before he escaped.
In just those ten-odd days, they produced such a vast number of warframes.
If HYDRA were given enough time, they would create a mechanical army capable of conquering a country.
Recalling the combat capabilities of the warframes, both of them shivered.
While warframes weren't overly powerful against them, their threat became immense when facing an army fighting with flesh and blood.
Especially since these warframes were entirely mechanical.
HYDRA could completely disregard the issue of survival; they could even use these warframes as bombs.
They were very troubled by HYDRA, which had been lurking in the World for many years and then suddenly resurfaced for unknown reasons.
After years of development, no one knew how many people HYDRA truly had.
Looking at the two serious-faced men, Dr. Ethan said,
"Frank has already gone to find Nick Fury. Perhaps they'll be back soon."
Just as he spoke, Hunters Bar door was pushed open.
Frank, with his battle-hardened demeanor, and a bald, one-eyed black man walked in. It was Director Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D.
After entering the Hunters Tavern, Nick Fury looked at Frank with his one eye.
"Tell me, why did you use a special signal to summon me from the secret Base?"
Frank didn't answer but looked at Dr. Ethan.
After Dr. Ethan nodded slightly, he remained silent and led Nick Fury towards the underground laboratory.
Seeing their strange behavior, Andy and the others followed them into the laboratory.
Frank didn't stop in the laboratory; he went all the way down to a secret room on the lowest level.
Many captured Vampires were held here, and in the middle of the secret room was a torture chair.
Sitting on it was a man on the verge of collapse—this was the fellow who had impersonated Hammer to attack the Technology Expo.
When Frank entered, the man shivered, and even the clamoring Vampires fell silent.
In their hearts, the most terrifying devil had appeared; if they continued to make noise, they would be killed.
Nick Fury glanced at the surroundings, very puzzled. He wanted to know what Frank intended to say.
Just as he was about to speak, he heard Frank's voice, "You might not believe what I say, so let this guy speak."
Hearing Frank's words, the man on the torture chair trembled.
"I'll talk, I'll tell you everything. I'm a HYDRA Agent."
Before Frank could even begin to interrogate him, this man, on the verge of collapse, blurted out everything he knew.
Listening to the self-proclaimed HYDRA Agent's account, Nick Fury's heart tightened.
Although he didn't quite believe this guy was HYDRA, recent events had made him somewhat suspicious of HYDRA's resurgence.
"How did you do it? People who become Agents all undergo interrogation training; their willpower is much stronger than that of ordinary people."
As he spoke, he pointed at the man sitting on the torture chair.
"Especially HYDRA Agents; S.H.I.E.L.D. captured some during the war, but there was no way to make them talk."
Nick Fury's question brought a grim smile to Frank's face.
He raised his combat knife and chopped off half of the HYDRA Agent's arm, amidst the guy's screams.
He then took out a recovery orb made by Andy and crushed it on the Agent's body.
He reattached the Agent's arm, and the recovery orb's effect was quickly evident.
The arm healed rapidly, leaving no trace of a scar.
"This is all thanks to Andy's item. If it weren't for this recovery orb, I might not have been able to extract any information."
Wiping the blood from his knife and returning it to its sheath, Frank said with a sneer,
"This guy's mouth was indeed very tough. Conventional interrogation methods no longer worked on him.
But human endurance has its limits. It took me nearly a month of unconventional interrogation to achieve this.
He experienced all the tortures originally used on death row inmates in ancient China. He even helped me skillfully master the art of slow slicing."
Hearing about a month of unconventional interrogation, even a super Agent like Nick Fury shivered.
Unconventional interrogation is usually used to force confessions; most ordinary people would confess under duress.
And those with tight lips would almost certainly be beaten to death.
But with Andy's recovery orb, the possibility of being beaten to death was minimized.
Without the possibility of being beaten to death, there was only one outcome: prolonged suffering from torture.
And Nick Fury knew Frank's methods; even some high-level Agents might not be able to withstand his interrogation techniques.
One could imagine, with the help of the recovery orb,
how brutal Frank's interrogation had become. After a month, even someone who had been thoroughly brainwashed should have sobered up.
Looking at the HYDRA Agent, who had recovered but was still screaming.
Nick Fury understood that this guy was already broken; even if he were released now, he wouldn't live much longer.
After obtaining the information on this guy, Nick Fury left the Hunters Tavern.
However, he did not return to S.H.I.E.L.D. Instead, he took several detours, changed disguises repeatedly, and finally arrived at his safe house.
After learning that HYDRA still existed, he understood why he always felt something was off.
HYDRA had not been destroyed; it had merely gone into hiding, ready to deliver a fatal blow to S.H.I.E.L.D. at any moment.
Nick Fury didn't trust anyone with this information; he could only store it in his safe house.
He had to personally investigate the matters concerning HYDRA.
After Nick Fury left, the others also exited the secret room.
Although Nick Fury had been informed of the situation, Andy and the others also had their own plans.
Since HYDRA had suddenly reappeared, they needed to be prepared.
Who knew what these war fanatics would be like?
Moreover, they now possessed the manufacturing technology for warframes. If they produced a large number of warframes, the World would also plunge into chaos.
Andy and the others began to formulate defensive plans for the potential future situations.
As the creator of the warframe, Ivan was very familiar with its core technology.
No matter how HYDRA modified it, the core technology of the warframe would not change.
Although the warframe technology was leaked to the Military by Hammer, given the Military's methods, they would mostly number their warframes.
So they only needed to eliminate all illegal signals to destroy most of HYDRA's warframes.
And Ivan thought exactly the same way. He could create a radar specifically targeting the warframe's unique frequency.
This would scan all warframes appearing on the radar, allowing them to more easily locate HYDRA's manufacturing Bases.
Andy didn't have many good ideas for the warframes either.
After all, none of them knew where HYDRA's strongholds were, even with the monitoring scanners they had already rolled out.
They couldn't scan out which people were HYDRA Agents, as they weren't aliens or non-human entities.
After discussion, everyone unanimously decided to strengthen their defenses to prevent a sudden HYDRA attack.
After the discussion concluded, Stark rushed back to Stark Industries. He needed to create new equipment to counter potential future warframe attacks.
Ivan, on the other hand, invited Andy to visit his auto repair shop.
In the auto repair shop, there was a car that was already half-modified.
And deeper inside the repair shop, Andy saw Ivan's latest Iron Man Suit.
This time, Ivan didn't just focus on his current Whiplash; he also equipped the new warframe with some long-range weapons.
This was so he could use powerful Firepower to assist himself in combat during battles with Stark.
Andy looked at the redesigned Iron Man Suit, feeling a bit of admiration for Ivan.
Whether it was Stark or Andy, their equipment was created based on the wealth they possessed.
The manufacturing of each piece of equipment required a large amount of wealth.
Ivan, however, managed to create this second-generation Iron Man Suit from scratch using salvaged scrap metal.
Ivan seemed very satisfied with his latest Iron Man Suit, but as soon as he thought of Stark's attacks, he seemed to lose confidence.
"What's with Stark's corrosive pulse beam? That powerful corrosive force can directly penetrate the Iron Man Suit's armor."
A puzzled Ivan voiced his question. He believed that given Andy and Stark's relationship, Andy must know what Stark's corrosive energy was all about.
Andy smiled at Ivan and put on the Obex he was wearing.
"You mean power like this, right?"
With that, Andy punched a steel plate leaning against the wall. The previously straight steel plate was bent by Andy's punch.
And where Andy struck, the steel plate became corroded, with a large amount of corroded metal flaking off.
Seeing Andy's attack, Ivan's pupils contracted sharply.
He hadn't expected that even without wearing a warframe, Andy's strength was still so formidable.
And the corroded steel plate confirmed his suspicion: Andy also possessed the same corrosive power.
Taking off the Obex, Andy laughed,
"This is my technology. Stark's pulse cannon incorporates my Amplification Crystal."
Although he didn't understand what an Amplification Crystal was, Ivan realized that Stark's corrosive power was actually given by Andy.
This made Ivan somewhat angry. He hadn't expected that it wasn't just Stark who defeated him.
Ivan punched the wall, growling in anger.
"Damn Stark, he's a coward, a wimp."
"No, no, no. Although I integrated the corrosive energy for him, it didn't have that much power yet.
Think about the power of Stark's repulsor during your first battle; that was the true effect of the integrated corrosion."
Looking at Ivan's puzzled expression, Andy continued,
"The reason he was able to defeat you so quickly is because he researched the Amplification Crystal and created a relatively weaker Amplification Chip.
Although the effect is weaker, it can be equipped in large quantities. When he fought you, his warframe had countless Amplification Chips installed.
So even without corrosive energy, you would have lost; it was just a matter of time."
Andy spoke very objectively. Although Ivan's warframe was strong, he couldn't compare to Stark, who had Amplification Chips.
If Ivan could also research a similar amplification device, the gap between them would narrow significantly.
They might even be back on the same starting line, continuing their technological competition.
The author went to a wedding banquet, so this chapter was posted a bit late.
