The golden giant claw, carrying a small part of the Dragon God's power, struck Bibi Dong while she was in her Death Spider Emperor True Body form. There was no way for her to resist such a massive force. Even her strongest life-saving skills were useless against the absolute power of the dragon.
With a loud and terrible roar, Bibi Dong's massive spider form shattered. It looked like a black glass statue being smashed by a heavy hammer. Her body broke into countless pieces, which were then turned into fine dust by the golden energy.
Even though she was a Level 98 Titled Douluo with twin spirits and a hundred-thousand-year spirit ring, her physical body was completely destroyed. All that remained of her was a small, purple chunk of flesh.
At the same time, a huge wave of energy exploded from the point of impact. It spread out like a ring of destruction, tearing up the ground like waves in the ocean. The road disappeared, replaced by deep ravines. Nearby trees were ripped out of the ground and shredded in the air. Dust and smoke filled the sky, making it look like the end of the world.
Dugu Bo, the Sword Douluo Chen Xin, and the other Titled Douluo from Spirit Hall were still fighting when the shockwave hit. They all felt a mortal danger and immediately stopped attacking each other to defend themselves.
Dugu Bo created a thick shield from his green poison mist. Chen Xin placed his Seven Kill Sword in front of him, creating a barrier of sword energy. Ghost Douluo and the others also used their best defensive skills to stay alive.
When the energy wave hit, it made a deafening noise. Chen Xin, Ghost Douluo, and Dugu Bo managed to stand their ground, but the others were blown back, their bodies aching from the force.
Up in the sky, Di Tian watched the ground with his glowing golden eyes. He saw the purple chunk of flesh that was all that remained of Bibi Dong and realized she was trying to rebuild her body using her undying ability. He knew he had to act quickly to finish her off for good. The power of the Dragon God Claw was strong enough to destroy her core before she could recover.
Di Tian prepared to strike one last time. But suddenly, he froze. The anger in his eyes turned into fear and caution. A blurry black figure had appeared silently behind the piece of Bibi Dong's flesh. The figure was covered in deep shadows and held a strange, large scythe that radiated the aura of death and resentment. Just looking at the weapon made Di Tian's soul hurt. The scythe reminded him of a terrifying being from the God Realm.
Without hesitating, Di Tian stopped his attack. He took one long look at the mysterious figure and the reforming Bibi Dong, then let out a low, frustrated roar. His massive dragon head and the dark clouds became blurry and faded away into space. He vanished completely, as if he had never been there.
After a while, the dust settled and the energy storm stopped. A giant crater, nearly a thousand meters wide, marked the spot of the explosion. Bibi Dong was gone, leaving only the lingering smell of god-like power behind.
When the others looked toward where Tang Chen and Xiao Ruier had been, they were shocked. The spot was empty. Xiao Ruier and the badly injured Tang Chen had disappeared. Only a few bloodstains remained on the ground.
Where did they go? Dugu Bo shouted. He tried to use his mental power to find them, but he sensed nothing. Chen Xin looked around carefully but couldn't find any trace of them either. The Spirit Hall members were just as confused. While everyone had been distracted by Di Tian's attack, the two of them had vanished into thin air.
Not far away, a purple light began to glow in the empty air. The light came from the small piece of Bibi Dong's flesh. It started to wiggle and grow brighter. Suddenly, the dust and tiny particles of her body that were scattered in the crater began to fly back toward the center. It looked like time was moving backward. Flesh, bone, and blood all rushed together to rebuild her body.
Meanwhile, deep inside the Star Dou Great Forest, Di Tian returned to his human form. He used a black light to carry Tang Chen and Xiao Ruier into the safest part of the forest. He placed them gently on the grass near a lake.
Uncle Di Tian! Xiao Ruier cried as she rushed to Tang Chen's side. She felt how weak his breath was and begged Di Tian to save him.
Di Tian looked at the boy and shook his head. It is a miracle he is even alive right now, he said sadly. He explained that while Tang Chen's skills had blocked some of the damage from Bibi Dong's Eternal Wound attack, a small amount had still hit him. That poison was now eating away at his life force. Di Tian admitted that he didn't have the power to heal such a wound because Tang Chen's body was too weak to survive the process.
Xiao Ruier began to cry. She couldn't stand to watch him die. In desperation, the golden eye on her forehead began to glow. She decided to sacrifice her own life force as an Emperor Auspicious Beast to save him, just like Xiao Wu had done for Tang San in the past.
Auspicious Beast, stop! Di Tian roared. He used his power to stop her from throwing her life away. He looked at her sad face and then at the dying boy, letting out a long sigh. Fine, I will try something else.
Di Tian explained that he would help Tang Chen bear the damage himself. He reached out and pulled a black scale from his own body. The scale was ancient and filled with power. He flicked it toward Tang Chen, and it attached itself perfectly over the boy's heart. The scale fused with his skin, becoming a part of him.
