Deep within the core of the Star Dou Great Forest lies a hidden place known as the Great Fierce Land. Inside a quiet, dark cave, the air was heavy with the smell of old stone and wild animals. For many days, two giant beings had been resting there. These were the Titan Giant Ape and the Sky Azure Bull Python.
Their bodies were covered in terrible wounds from a past battle, but thanks to the special herbs brought by Tang Chen, they were finally starting to heal. These herbs came from a magical place called the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. The medicine had stopped their injuries from getting worse and calmed the energy inside them.
Even though they were far from being strong again, they were no longer in danger of dying right away. The cave now had a light smell of herbs mixed with the natural scent of Spirit Beasts. Suddenly, the Sky Azure Bull Python opened his large eyes. He looked at Tang Chen, who was sitting nearby. His eyes showed many feelings, and his voice was deep and honest when he spoke.
Tang Chen, thank you for what you have done. You saved my brother and me. I also want to thank you for looking after Sister Xiao Wu for all these years. He sounded like he might cry. To these two beasts, Xiao Wu was like a big sister. Knowing that someone in the human World truly loved and protected her made them feel very thankful.
Next to him, the Titan Giant Ape, Er Ming, used his huge hands to push himself up. He was not very good with words, but he spoke loudly to show how he felt. Tang Chen, I really thank you. He told them about the times they spent together, the many dangers they faced, and how much they loved each other. Tang Chen was very good at telling stories. He talked about the events as if he had been the one there the whole time, replacing the real person, Tang San, with himself. He described every detail so well that it felt real.
Da Ming and Er Ming listened very carefully. Sometimes they felt happy, and sometimes they felt scared for Xiao Wu. When Tang Chen told them about how she had to sacrifice herself, the two Spirit Beasts became very sad and angry.
They grew to hate Spirit Hall and Tang San even more. They now believed completely that Tang Chen was the person Xiao Wu had chosen to love. They saw him as a true friend they could trust.
After Tang Chen finished his long and sad story, the cave became very quiet. The two Hundred Thousand Year Spirit Beasts looked at each other. They knew their own bodies well. Even though the herbs helped them stay alive for now, the poison from Bibi Dong was still inside them.
Bibi Dong was a powerful Spirit Master from Spirit Hall, and her Death Spider Emperor venom was very hard to cure. It was slowly eating away at their lives. They knew they could not truly get better.
The Sky Azure Bull Python spoke first. His voice was low but firm. Tang Chen, we know we are dying. We probably do not have much time left. Er Ming nodded his giant head. That is right. We do not want to just sit here and wait to die in pain. We want to give our power to you. We want to sacrifice ourselves for you.
Da Ming added, his eyes burning with a need for revenge. You have the power of Sister Xiao Wu already. You are the one she picked. It is right for you to take our power too. Use it to get revenge for her. Destroy Spirit Hall and that terrible person Tang San. This is the last thing we can do to help her.

When he stepped outside into the bright sunlight, a voice started talking inside his head. It was the Tianmeng Ice Silkworm. The worm sounded very worried and confused. Hey! Tang Chen! Why are you leaving? Those are two Hundred Thousand Year Spirit Beasts! They wanted to give you their power for free! Why did you say no?
The worm continued to complain. A sacrifice is perfect! There is no danger! What if they get better while we are gone? Or what if they change their minds? We would lose everything! It thought Tang Chen was being very silly for walking away from such a great gift.
Tang Chen walked quickly through the forest. He stayed calm and answered the worm in his mind. It is impossible for them to change their minds. They are not actually getting better. The poison from Bibi Dong is too deep in their bodies.
The herbs I gave them only help them breathe a little easier. It just slows down their death so they can live a few more weeks. Unless a miracle happens, they will definitely die within three months. He knew exactly what he was doing and felt completely in control of the situation.
