Several days later.
"Your missions today are to clean up river trash and walk the client's dog. Hmm, follow me to get your mission tools. First, clean up the river trash."
Kakashi said, fashionably late, lazily announcing the tasks at Team 7's meeting point.
"Two more D-rank missions! Kakashi-sensei! We've done several D-rank missions in a row. Aren't there exciting, dangerous high-level missions? I'm sick of these boring missions!" Naruto said, clenching his fists in frustration, bursting out loudly.
These monotonous low-level tasks were too annoying.
"Next time, I'll try to get a C-rank mission. That's how it is." Kakashi said, waving his hand, brushing them off, giving Sasuke and Sakura a look, and turning to lead the way.
Boring? How troublesome.
To accumulate mission counts, he'd been quite tired lately.
Hmm, he barely had time to enjoy the latest Icha Icha Paradise.
"Let's go, Sakura." Sasuke said, ignoring the chattering Naruto, following closely.
"Wait for me, Sasuke, Sakura." Naruto shouted, hurrying to catch up with the three.
Soon, Sasuke and the others followed Kakashi, picked up bamboo baskets, and arrived at the mission location.
"Here, this is the river. Clear out all the trash blocking it! Be careful, the current is swift. Even with the Water Walking Technique, be cautious, don't get swept away."
Kakashi said, looking at the flowing river, warning them, then picking up his Icha Icha Paradise and reading leisurely.
"I see⊠This is too simple for us. Sasuke-kun, let's start together." Sakura said, condensing chakra at her feet, stepping onto the water.
"Hmm." Sasuke nodded faintly, chakra surging at his feet as he stepped forward.
"Damn it. I won't lose to you two." Naruto said, watching them walk on the river as if on solid ground, regaining his fighting spirit, forming a hand seal, and shouting.
He'd practiced the Water Walking Technique in the Land of Waves!
"That's it, here I come!" Naruto roared, chakra erupting from his feet, rushing onto the river.
Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi looked over.
The next moment, Naruto, after a few steps, lost purchase, his face paling.
"Splash!"
With a splash, Naruto fell into the river.
"H-help!" Naruto choked on river water, crying out with a bitter face.
Sasuke, quick-witted, pulled him out, preventing Naruto from being swept away.
"I told you, the river's swift. If you can't maintain stable chakra output on an unstable surface, you'll fall. Naruto, your Water Walking training isn't enough!"
Kakashi said, shaking his head, making Naruto's face flush with embarrassment.
"Hmph, even without Water Walking, I can complete the mission excellently. My speed won't be worse than Sasuke or Sakura's! Watch me, Multiple Shadow Clone Technique!"
Naruto said, gritting his teeth in rage, forming a hand seal, roaring.
Bang, bang, bang!
Ten Narutos appeared, looking at Sasuke and Sakura defiantly, burying their heads to search for underwater trash.
Sasuke smiled.
If it meant finishing this boring mission faster, what did he have to complain about.
Regardless of past or present life, practical colleagues like Naruto were well-liked.
Time flew, and an hour passed.
With Naruto's shadow clones, Sasuke and the others quickly finished cleaning.
By noon, they followed Kakashi to the client's house for the dog-walking mission.
"Naruto, are you sure you want this biggest one?" Sasuke said, looking at the fierce dog Naruto chose, unable to hold back.
This familiar scene, wasn't it followed by.
"Heh heh. Sasuke, you're too late. This big dog is mine, you two take those small dogs." Naruto said, apprehensive but stubborn.
He wouldn't let Sasuke steal the spotlight.
"Uh, whatever makes you happy." Sasuke said, seeing good advice wasted, saying no more.
His gaze deepened, lost in thought.
It had reached this point, so what should happen next was.
"Ah! Don't run off randomly!" Naruto's howl rang out.
Sasuke looked up, seeing Naruto dragged away by the big dog, disappearing from sight.
"Let's go." Sasuke sighed, calling to Sakura, starting their leisurely dog walk.
"Okay, Sasuke-kun." Sakura nodded, beaming with happiness. Naruto's absence meant private time with Sasuke-kun!
"No⊠That's the trap area, don't go in! I'm begging you, ah! No!" Sasuke and Sakura caught up, seeing Naruto dragged, terrified, into a minefield of traps by the big dog.
"Bang! Boom!"
Amidst explosions, Naruto was dragged out, covered in dust.
"How troublesome. Naruto, destroying traps without permission incurs compensation." Kakashi said, his words a fatal blow, making Naruto's expression change drastically.
"Compensation? No way!" Naruto wailed, his cry echoing through the sky.
Ten minutes later.
"Seriously, always causing trouble." Sasuke said, supporting Naruto, sighing helplessly as they followed Kakashi, with Sakura nodding in agreement.
Naruto turned the safest dog-walking mission into a life-or-death situation.
Unimaginable.
"Chirp!"
A bright eagle cry resounded above.
Sasuke's heart stirred.
"That's all for today's missions. I'm submitting the reports. You're dismissed." Kakashi said, glancing subtly at the ninja eagle, finding an excuse, disappearing instantly.
'The Chƫnin Exams, which will change Konohagakure's landscape, are here.'
Sasuke thought, his eyes flashing, understanding as the ninja eagle flew away.
"Sasuke-kun. We finished early today. Should we go shopping and have dinner together?" Sakura said, hugging Sasuke's arm, pouting sweetly, seeing Kakashi leave.
They'd been working non-stop, with no time for free activities.
"No! Sasuke promised to treat me to dinner for a month, I'm coming too." Naruto said, jumping up, giving no chance for a date.
"Naruto. This is my private date with Sasuke-kun, don't cause trouble." Sakura said, refusing, not wanting Naruto to disturb her time with Sasuke.
"Tsk tsk tsk. Is this a Konohagakure genin? Still immersed in a ridiculous romance game. I wonder if it's confidence or ignorance." a mocking voice said behind them.
"Suna nin. Don't be too arrogant in another village. People can die."
Sasuke said, his eyes flashing sharply, speaking indifferently to the newcomer.
