*~Lucien's POV~*
I rushed down to her room, and as I got there, she was lying there—her eyes slightly open, her body weak. I knelt beside her bed and gently took her hand.
"Are you alright? Are you okay?" I asked softly.
"Gorgeous monster..?" she asked, her eyelids fluttering open a little wider. Then, she suddenly sat up and pulled me into a tight embrace. Tears streamed down her cheeks as her voice broke.
"No it's me, Lucien.." I corrected her as she was mistaking me for my brother.
"Thank you… You really came for me..
I eased out of her embrace and wiped the tears from her face. "Of course, I came for you. How are you feeling? Are you okay?"
"My mother tried to kill me," she whispered, her voice trembling.
"I know," I said, keeping my voice low but firm. "But you have to stay strong, Gabrielle. This isn't over yet—in fact, it's just beginning. We need you more than ever now. Your powers are returning—I can feel them. You even protected yourself."
