Chapter 87 - Chapter 87: The Oath

Looking ahead, all was chaotic.

Gion's physical strength was extremely strong. Despite the impact, she immediately retaliated with a swift counterattack, her hand cutting through the air.

"Get up!"

Her voice was cold, a warning.

"Ah, women, so changeable," Jin sighed, loosening his grip and moving his face away, suddenly feeling like he could go days without needing to wash his face.

"You said it yourself, you did it, but now you're not happy? Tsk, the rear admiral is unreliable."

Jin mused.

Gion shot him a fierce glare. Who would have thought he'd take it this seriously? After all, she was also a rear admiral of the navy.

Isn't there supposed to be some basic etiquette?

The key thing was that so many navy personnel had witnessed this. It was literally social death!

"Be careful. If this gets back to headquarters, I'm sure many people will come after you," Gion stood up, threatening.

"Is that so?" Jin responded, "I like challenges. A Rear admiral of the navy? Sounds like it could get more exciting."

"Shameless!" Gion couldn't say anything more. She forced herself to calm down and look composed, turning her back to walk toward the warship.

"Rear Admiral Gion, huh?"

"Ah, a grain of sand got in my eye. I asked that king to help me blow it out, but the ship swayed and I fell."

"Huh?"

"Really?!"

"Is that so?"

Gion raised an eyebrow and said, "What, did you all see something?"

"Huh? What?"

"Ah, never mind. We must have seen things. I thought I saw something strange, but it's nothing, just a misunderstanding."

Jin waved at Gion.

The Devil Aircraft Carrier entered a windless zone.

...

A deep whale's cry echoed from afar, causing the sea surface to tremble. Gion turned around, her gaze fixed on the distance, sensing something was wrong.

Wait!

A sailboat in the windless zone? How could it be sailing without wind?

She quickly grabbed a major and asked, "Hey, did you see that? How did that ship get into the windless zone?"

"Eh?! No, I didn't see anything."

Gion frowned and shoved him away.

"It seems that Jin has some secrets. But I swear, I will uncover every one of them."

Her eyes gleamed with intensity.

"Rear Admiral Gion? Her?"

"Before joining the navy, I didn't know much about her. After joining the navy, she mainly handled intelligence work. Her skills are top-notch, especially in swordsmanship.

"Also, once she targets someone, she will use any means to capture them, like a poisonous spider."

Aska Island.

Colonel Hina arrived at the base earlier this year and officially became the commander of Aska Base.

Jin returned to Magon Island after dealing with matters in the South Sea and began preparing for the next shipment of mushrooms, as the Aska Island mushroom base continued to expand its cultivation.

There were large orders coming from the G3 base, Alabasta, and others like Magon Island, Hannabal, and the Land of Fire. These orders were extremely profitable for the Aska tribe, who were quickly improving their living conditions.

At the same time, Jin checked on Colonel Hina's progress with her combat skills, Rokushiki, and Devil Fruit development, ensuring everything was satisfactory.

After handling those matters, Jin casually inquired about Gion. Though he gathered some basic information, he didn't care too much.

A Rear admiral was still not an admiral. After the world conscription, Gion didn't get promoted, showing her strength wasn't quite up to par. She was likely at the level of a vice admiral.

She could pose a threat, but it wasn't huge.

As a king of a member country, Jin wasn't worried. If Gion went too far, there wouldn't be any issues. She could try to get in his way or cause trouble, but he could handle it easily.

After dealing with matters at the base, Jin set sail again. This time, his destination was the final sea of the four seas, the Medical Sea.

"How many Devil Fruits are there in the East Sea? The Glide Glide Fruit, Shield Shield Fruit, Iron Iron Fruit, and Sticky Sticky Fruit..."

"Enough for upgrades."

Word had it that Jin was heading to the East Sea.

Colonel Hina had asked him to bring some special local products as a gift for Smoker in Loguetown, though the real reason was to show off her promotion.

Twin Cape.

Jin delivered some supplies to Kurokas and discussed the observation haki training. Later, Maya and Law chatted with him.

That night, they climbed the Upside Down Mountain and, as usual, entered the Eight Sinking Sea...
