No one had really believed Draconis Yi could kill Cao Cao.
Cao Cao's strength had reached the point where even Azazel wasn't his match—yet Draconis Yi had ended him with a single swing.
The silence that followed was absolute. Draconis Yi's performance left everyone stunned, Rias and her friends included. It felt unreal.
How had his power grown so overwhelming?
Even Rias, who shared his bed, didn't know the full extent of his strength. Not that anyone could blame her—Draconis Yi was a mystery even to those closest to him. If he didn't want to reveal his true abilities, who could possibly see through him?
With the enemy dealt with, Draconis Yi himself was almost nonchalant, as if he'd just taken care of a minor chore.
He walked over to the Toujou sisters.
"Shirone, you alright?"
"I'm fine."
Shirone glanced at her sister—Kuroka had shielded her during the chaos, and the memory left her a little unsteady.
"Let Asia heal you," Draconis Yi said to Kuroka.
He could tell Kuroka genuinely cared about her little sister. Becoming a stray devil must have been a hard road.
Once he was sure Shirone was unharmed, Draconis Yi turned to Ophis.
Her power was greatly diminished now. Draconis Yi had slain the black serpent in a single blow, but the strength Samael had stolen wasn't coming back.
"Something like that happened, and you still want to stay here?"
His tone was half-curious, half-exasperated.
"This does not matter."
Ophis's voice was as flat as ever, as if losing that power meant nothing.
Draconis Yi had no idea what to say. The Infinite Dragon God—legend incarnate—acting like an emotionally detached houseguest.
Had she gotten attached to him somehow?
What was it about him that drew her in? Was it something he could change?
He let the thought go, deciding not to bother. Ophis was strong beyond reason, and he had no way to deal with her—might as well let her do whatever she wanted.
Time slipped by.
A week passed in the blink of an eye.
Since Draconis Yi had wiped out the Hero Faction and the leader of the Khaos Brigade had moved into his house, the Three Realms had settled into an eerie peace. Not a single incident broke the calm.
In the clubroom, a beautiful silver-haired woman sat across from Rias.
Draconis Yi and the others watched her with curious expressions.
This was Rossweisse, Valkyrie bodyguard to Odin himself. She'd once fought alongside them against Loki.
"So… you're saying Lord Odin just forgot you here in the human world?"
Rias's lips twitched, uncertain whether to laugh or cry.
"…Yes."
Rossweisse looked utterly dejected and embarrassed, at a loss for words about her unreliable god.
Draconis Yi chuckled. "Let's be honest—Odin probably left you here on purpose. You're way too strict for his taste."
"Eh—really?"
Rossweisse's face fell, panic flickering in her eyes.
Rias quickly covered Draconis Yi's mouth, smiling at Rossweisse. "Don't listen to him. Who would abandon such a capable bodyguard?"
She tried to smooth things over, but Rossweisse wasn't fooled. The heartbreak lingered.
Her life had never been easy—a country Valkyrie from a rural family, unable to master her clan's spirit-summoning arts, but a prodigy at attack magic. She'd worked herself to the bone, never had time for romance like other Valkyries, and finally landed the job as Odin's bodyguard… only to find her boss was a lecherous old man who called her boring and, apparently, dumped her.
The tears threatened to spill.
Rias gave Draconis Yi a look—this is your fault.
Draconis Yi just shrugged.
What, telling the truth was a crime now?
He grinned, then cut straight to the point.
"How about this—Rias, why not make her your peerage member? You're still missing a Rook, and Rossweisse is perfect for the job."
Rias's eyes lit up. "Really? Would you like that?"
She looked at Rossweisse, hope shining in her smile.
Rossweisse hesitated, still reeling from the double blow, but Rias's offer was a lifeline.
"Do you… really want me?"
Rias didn't hesitate—she grabbed Rossweisse and began the reincarnation ceremony.
And just like that, the Valkyrie became a devil, Rias's final peerage member.
"Wonderful! We have to throw a welcome party tonight!"
Rias was overjoyed, already planning the celebration.
That night, everyone joined in—even Ophis and Kuroka.
Rossweisse, new to the group and still a bit shy, barely touched her drink. Early the next morning, she was up at dawn, waiting for orders as if she were still Odin's bodyguard.
But Rias didn't show. After half a day, Rossweisse wandered to Rias's bedroom, remembering which room she'd entered the night before.
She knocked gently.
Instead of Rias, Draconis Yi's relaxed voice answered.
"Who is it?"
"Eh? D-Draconis Yi? Why are you in Lady Rias's room?"
Rossweisse's eyes widened.
"You've got it wrong. This is my room."
Draconis Yi replied lazily from bed, one arm wrapped around Rias's bare shoulders, Akeno snuggled up behind him.
"But… I saw Lady Rias enter this room last night…"
Rossweisse stammered. At that moment, Rias stirred, her voice drowsy from Draconis Yi's morning massage.
"Rossweisse, give me a moment… I'll be right out…"
Rossweisse blinked. "Wait, Lady Rias, you're really in there? Then you two aren't—"
Realization hit. Her face went crimson, and she stood frozen, unsure whether to run or stay.
In her panic, she accidentally twisted the door handle.
Inside, she saw a scene that made her pupils contract in shock.
On a massive round bed, Draconis Yi lay surrounded by women—Rias, Akeno, Asia, Xenovia, Shirone, and even Kuroka.
"Y-you seven… what is…?"
Rossweisse stared, tongue-tied by the sea of pale skin.
Draconis Yi kept his eyes closed, answering lazily, "Seven? What are you—"
He paused, then sat up, spotting Kuroka curled up beside Shirone. His expression went blank.
"…Why are you here too?"
Kuroka blinked awake, grinning. "You all looked like you were having so much fun last night and didn't invite me, so I invited myself, nya~"
Draconis Yi: "…" Everyone: "…"
Apparently, that was allowed now.
