Chapter 277 - 《DXD: Transfer Student》Chapter 276: Become a Demon King

Completely unprepared, Rizevim ate the full brunt of it.

Tenra ripped him straight out of the air and slammed him into the ground. The impact cratered the earth with a thunderous boom.

Tenra shook his head, almost bored. "Great. Gotta fix the yard again."

He glanced at Ophis. Ever since she'd moved in, trouble kept rolling in wave after wave. His house had become a disaster magnet. Ridiculous.

Rizevim climbed out of the crater, staring at Tenra with genuine surprise.

"Impressive ability... and it's not even from a Sacred Gear?"

His grin widened. He looked excited.

Rias and the others had been tense—worried—but seeing this, they finally breathed easier.

They knew about Rizevim. The old Demon King. Rizevim Livan Lucifer—son of the original Lucifer and Lilith, Mother of Devils. The strongest Transcendent Being alive.

As a Transcendent, his power was terrifying. Even Rias's brother took him seriously as a threat. Sirzechs had deliberately built his peerage without Sacred Gear users—specifically to counter Rizevim's Sacred Gear Canceller ability.

When Rizevim first appeared, Rias had been ready to call her brother immediately. But now... Tenra was actually fighting someone like this?

A real, genuine Transcendent Being.

Rias and the others stared in disbelief. Tenra had already reached the level where he could face a Transcendent. It felt like a dream.

Rizevim attacked again, hurling a massive surge of demonic power at Tenra. The pressure alone nearly drove everyone to their knees.

Tenra smiled faintly. "Your Sacred Gear Canceller—it only works on energy aimed at you, right?"

He activated the Regalia Blade's amplification effect. His magic exploded upward.

Rizevim's attack? Tenra waved it away like smoke.

After confirming his theory, Tenra dismissed it with a flick of his hand.

Yeah. That's all it is. Not as invincible as it sounds.

He released his Transcendent power. His Absolute Dominion spread outward, and suddenly everything—heaven, earth, space itself—felt like it belonged to him.

Under Transcendent power, Tenra became the ruler of this domain. His gaze locked onto Rizevim.

A wave of primal danger crashed over Rizevim.

Death.

He could feel it.

I'll die from this next attack?

Impossible.

But his instincts—honed over centuries—screamed warnings he couldn't ignore.

He moved on pure reflex, trying to open a spatial portal to escape.

But Tenra spoke one word, calm and absolute:

"Seal."

A familiar wave pulsed outward. Rias and the others gasped—that was the ability of Tenra's familiar, the Sigil of Suppression!

But he hadn't summoned it. He'd used the power himself.

Rizevim's strength locked down. Sealed.

The Sigil shouldn't have been able to do this—the gap in power was too vast. But somehow, Tenra made it work.

"...Transcendence. What a tyrannical power."

Vali's voice came low and serious. He understood now. Tenra had become unreasonably strong. He could wield any ability through his Transcendent power—freely, effortlessly.

Rizevim stood frozen, sealed.

Then Tenra's Transcendent power enveloped him completely.

His expression locked. Stopped.

Silently, without fanfare, the Transcendent Being turned to ash. As if he'd never existed at all.

Total annihilation.

Vali and the others stood frozen, speechless.

No one had expected this. Rizevim—that Rizevim—dead. Just like that.

Killed casually. Effortlessly.

"...Incredible."

Kuroka's eyes shone. This was the man she'd chosen.

She'd thought his talent was exceptional—that he'd become a legendary powerhouse someday. But there was no "someday" anymore. He was already there.

Rias and the others lit up with excitement. They understood what this meant.

After Ophis left, Rizevim had become the leader of the Khaos Brigade—a threat even Sirzechs and the other Demon Kings struggled with. And now he was dead.

The three factions' peace treaty wouldn't face opposition anymore.

"Let's go! Tenra, we need to get to the Underworld!"

Rias grabbed his arm, practically vibrating with excitement.

"Hm?"

Tenra blinked. "Right now? I have class tomorrow."

His tone stayed flat—like he hadn't just done anything significant. Everyone fell silent.

"This is huge, okay? And you need proper credit for this. I'm not letting you get shortchanged."

Rias insisted, dragging him toward the teleportation circle.

No choice. Tenra followed her through the magic circle to the Underworld.

When Sirzechs heard that Tenra had killed Rizevim, even he froze for a long moment.

The news spread through the Underworld. Everyone who heard it fell silent in shock.

"That guy... can already kill Transcendent Beings?" Sairaorg muttered, stunned.

"This is... insane. How are we supposed to keep up..." Countless young devils groaned, feeling like they'd spend their entire lives in Tenra's shadow.

In the castle, Rias cleared her throat. "Brother, about his reward..."

Sirzechs smiled wryly. "I won't forget. But this achievement is massive. I'm not sure we have anything worthy to give him."

"It's fine. Doesn't matter."

Tenra shook his head with a faint smile. Material rewards meant nothing now. With absolute power, everything else became trivial. Fleeting.

"Still, there are things that must be given. Looks like I'll have to break precedent again. Once we finish arranging everything... we'll hold a ceremony for your ascension as a Demon King."

"...Demon King?!" Rias gasped.

"...Me? I haven't even made High-Class Devil yet..."

Tenra fell silent. His strength had grown too fast. He'd only recently passed his Middle-Class Devil exam.

Sirzechs laughed helplessly. "Hard to argue with that. But your power qualifies you completely. And the devils need you. Your presence will be our leverage in the upcoming negotiations."

Rias's eyes sparkled. "Yes! Then it's settled—Tenra, become the Fifth Demon King!"
