The first suspect, Abdullah, is waiting in the interrogation room. The rest of the suspects are waiting outside. Inspector Motlob is in charge of this case—a 5'9" tall, bulky man with a small mustache and clean-shaven face. He enters the room, looks toward Abdullah for a few seconds with a suspicious gaze, then sits in the chair opposite him.
The interrogation begins.
Abdullah: Salam, sir.
Motlob: Waalaikumussalam. I am Inspector Motlob.
Abdullah: Yes, sir. I am a poor fisherman, sir. I don't know anything about this, sir. I was only fishing and suddenly she was caught in my net. (Abdullah is trembling in fear; his speech is fast and disorganized.)
Motlob: Calm down, Mr. Abdullah. How do you know Farin?
Abdullah: Sir, we... we studied in the same school. Since there is only one school in the whole village, we were classmates.
Motlob: Okay. Did you see anything suspicious that night near Farin's house?
Abdullah: Sir, everything was too dark. Nothing was really visible. (Abdullah's throat has become dry from fear.)
Motlob: How can it be too dark on a full moon?
Abdullah: Sir, you misunderstood. I meant it wasn't bright enough to see Farin's area. That part is also covered with trees and bushes.
Motlob: So you mean you heard nothing and saw nothing while a girl was being cruelly murdered?
Abdullah: I'm sorry, sir, but I didn't really see anything.
Motlob: Okay, Mr. Abdullah. You can go for today, but we will call you again soon. Don't leave this area.
Abdullah: (trembling in fear) Yes, sir. I won't even leave my house.
To be continued...
