Chapter 151: Can't Hold It Together

Morning light filtered through curtain gaps, gently falling on two girls embracing in sleep.

Sasuko woke first, lashes lightly trembling as she opened her eyes.

This was her first time sharing a bed with someone besides Yu, yet she'd slept unexpectedly soundly.

Hazily, she felt she'd been holding something soft and elastic all night. That touch was delicate and warm, making her unconsciously reluctant to release it.

She stretched her somewhat numb arm, only then noticing one hand still rested naturally at Naruko's waist while the other... she froze slightly, discovering her palm was gently covering Naruko's... chest.

No wonder her dreams kept feeling she held something reassuring.

Sasuko slowly withdrew her hand, gaze falling on the sleeping Naruko's face.

Sunlight gilded Naruko's golden hair with pale gold. Her usually spirited features appeared exceptionally gentle at this moment. Sasuko extended an index finger, lightly tapping Naruko's soft cheek. That touch was delicate and warm, making one want to touch it more.

Sensing the itch on her face, Naruko furrowed her brow slightly, unconsciously burrowing toward the pillow yet still didn't wake.

Naruko had slept poorly last night due to Sasuko's terrible sleeping posture.

Initially when gently embraced from behind by Sasuko, she could barely maintain composure.

But once Sasuko sank into slumber, those already restless hands became even more unruly.

First unconsciously stroking lightly at her waist, then slowly ascending, ultimately stopping at her most... sensitive place.

Naruko had frozen completely then.

Sasuko's palm was warm and soft, fingertips occasionally unconsciously closing lightly, as though gently kneading to confirm something. Each minute movement made Naruko's heartbeat accelerate, cheeks burning. She'd tried gently moving Sasuko's hand away, but after barely moving it, those hands would naturally return to their original position, as though that spot was some exclusive comfort pillow.

Most embarrassing was when Sasuko's fingertips occasionally touched her... peak.

That instant sensation made her unable to suppress light trembling, yet to avoid waking Sasuko who'd finally fallen asleep, she had to bite her lip to suppress sounds.

In darkness, she could clearly feel Sasuko's steady breathing brushing her nape, contrasting with her own disordered heartbeat.

Not until late night did Sasuko finally turn over, hand movements gradually ceasing.

Only then did Naruko sigh with relief, barely falling asleep in exhaustion.

The sleeping Naruko lacked her usual liveliness, showing more gentleness. Her slightly pouting lips carried

pink luster.

Sunlight gradually brightened as Naruko finally stirred awake.

She opened her eyes groggily, meeting Sasuko's close-at-hand gaze.

She first froze, then last night's blush-inducing memories instantly flooded her mind, snapping her awake as her ears quietly flushed.

"G-good morning..." Naruko said softly, unconsciously protecting her chest while edging back. But the narrow bed offered little escape space.

Sasuko keenly noticed this small gesture, glancing at the faint darkness beneath Naruko's eyes, immediately understanding something.

"You didn't sleep well?" Sasuko asked softly, tone carrying slight apology. "Was my sleeping posture bad?"

Naruko quickly shook her head, golden hair swaying with her motion. "No no, I slept fine..." She paused, voice growing quieter. "Sasuko sleeps very properly..."

But before finishing, she couldn't help but yawn slightly, eye corners even showing moisture. This appearance made her denial utterly unconvincing.

"I'm sorry," Sasuko said sincerely. "I'm probably rather restless while sleeping. If there's a next time, you sleep in the bed while I take the sofa."

Naruko looked at Sasuko showing rare gentle expression, warmth rising in her heart.

She shook her head, revealing a genuine smile. "Really, it's fine. Actually... having someone sleep with me feels pretty good."

She quietly added in her heart: If only Sasuko could be a tiny bit more proper while sleeping, it would be perfect.

Sasuko gazed at Naruko forcing herself to stay alert, gaze sweeping the faint shadows beneath her eyes.

"Liar." She said softly, tone carrying rare gentleness. "You have dark circles."

Naruko looked at Sasuko. The current Sasuko had shed her usual coolness, brows and eyes showing uncommon softness, leaving Naruko momentarily unsure how to respond.

"Mm..." Naruko hesitated before speaking, voice light as though talking to herself. "Aside from not sleeping too well... everything else was very good."

Sasuko reached out to pinch Naruko's soft cheek. "So you didn't sleep well."

She paused as though making some decision, suddenly straightening into a kneeling position.

"As compensation," Sasuko's voice was gentle, "I'll let you get revenge."

Finishing, she slowly closed her eyes, hands naturally dropping to her sides, long lashes casting faint shadows on her cheeks.

Sasuko's fair neck appeared especially slender in morning light, her slightly open collar revealing delicate collarbones.

She knelt upright on the bed, neck slightly raised, like Sleeping Beauty awaiting a kiss.

Naruko watched the completely unguarded Sasuko, momentarily at a loss.

She tilted her head thinking, finally extending both hands to lightly pinch Sasuko's soft cheeks and pull them outward.

"Lady Naruko is magnanimous," she said with reddening face, voice carrying undisguisable shyness. "T-this time I'll forgive you... Don't do this again next time."

Finishing, she released her hands and hastily turned to get out of bed, beginning to search for clothing.

Sasuko slowly opened her eyes, watching the little blonde's flustered, evasive figure, smiling faintly.

....

In my opinion, this was unnecessary, Ahhhh, I'm really considering, dropping this.....
