The couple had settled in, it had been nearly three days since they arrived, and they hadn't seen the girls. Zyra hadn't had any dreams or visions, and she hadn't been destructive. Victor walked up to her by the window.
"My phone has been buzzing non-stop since we left. Drew has been trying to reach me".
Zyra turned to him with a sharp look as if warning him.
Victor wrapped his arms around her waist, then slowly moved one of his hands to push the stray hair off her face.
"I know you're worried, Zyra, but you can't blame me so much for trusting Drew, after all, he's been there all my life, what does he have to gain by hurting Lin and Nerina?".
"We'll have to find out what he has to gain because I don't trust him. I don't trust anyone". Zyra replied coldly.
"You're doing it again Zy".
"Doing what?".
"Pushing everyone away". Victor replied and Zyra's cold gaze dropped.
