Junkyu informed his parents about Haruto. Haruto was a little nervous about meeting them. " Don't worry. They will like you. I will talk to them and you can come there tomorrow. Okay ? " Haruto nodded. Junkyu gave him a kiss. Haruto also kissed back and sent Junkyu off. He went back into the house and plopped on the couch.
He let out a sigh. The thing about the cups had been bothering him since he found out about it. He sighed and shook his head. His day went by like usual. In the evening, he sat on the couch switching between channels. His phone started ringing. It was Jeongwoo. " Yah. Come out. Let's go for dinner ".
" Alright ". " What is this ?! How did you agree so easily ? " Haruto chuckled. " Junkyu went to his parents' house ". " No wonder. Anyways, come on time ". " Alright ". Haruto hung up and changed his clothes. He went out and took a taxi. They would definitely drink so he would not be able to drive.
He had a nice time as they all didn't hang out much recently. They were done and Haruto sent them all off. He was the only one left. He walked from there aimlessly. He reached a park and walked in. He sat down on a bench and looked up at the sky. He sighed and fell in thought again. " You look troubled ".
Haruto heard a voice and saw a woman sitting beside him. He was startled. Even if he was deep in thought, there is no way he wouldn't feel a person beside him. He moved a little away. She smiled. " Don't worry. I don't bite ". Haruto was still cautious. She tilted her head. " So what are you troubled about ? " Haruto sighed and looked down.
" I am a jerk ". The woman laughed. " And what did you do to be a jerk ? " Haruto didn't know who to talk to about this. Now even though he never saw the woman in his life, he felt like venting it out. " I have a mate ". " Congratulations ". " Thanks. And we recently moved in together ". " Wonderful. So what is the problem ? "
" I might be over thinking but please listen to it and then tell me what you think ". Haruto said, turning to the woman. She nodded. " There are these cups which we have at home. Each has a picture of a person's hand with red threads reaching out. When put together, they make one whole picture. We didn't get them together. We bought them separately and it was most likely before we met each other. And now we ended up together. I can't help but think... that probably something is there about the cup. I went to find the shop a few days ago but it was not there anymore. Not many people around know about it too. So I have my own suspicions ".
The woman nodded. Haruto continued speaking. " I love him. He does too. Not that I doubt it. But I just feel a little uneasy about it. And I keep thinking that I am being a jerk for thinking all these ". Haruto lowered his head in shame. The woman nodded and gave a hum. " Do you believe in destiny ? " Haruto gave it a thought and nodded.
" Then... isn't it the destiny that brought you together ? And the cup was just a medium ? " Haruto frowned. She continued speaking. " You know... destiny is only about bringing the two who are destined to meet but not about making them be together. It depends on them to actually fall in love with each other and decide their fate and write the ending they want to. So you are not a jerk. And I think you are anxious about something going wrong if the cup breaks. Right ? "
Haruto nodded. " Don't worry. You already sealed your fate by becoming mates. So nothing will go wrong ". Haruto let out a sigh. The woman smiled and extended her hand. " Take it ". Haruto saw a lollipop in her hand. He took it and smiled. " Thanks ". She smiled and sat back. " I hope you don't lose trust in your love for him. Because he will never do so ".
Haruto chuckled. " I know ". " Oh. Shooting star ". Haruto looked up at the sky and there was indeed one. He closed his eyes and made a silent wish. The woman smiled. " May all your wishes come true ". She whispered. Haruto opened his eyes and there was no one beside him. He stood up in shock.
He looked around and there was no sight of any human. The woman was also nowhere to be seen. He looked down at the lollipop in his hand in a state of shock. His phone started ringing and it was Junkyu. He picked it up and sat back down. " Hello~ " Haruto chuckled at Junkyu's cheerful greeting. " What did my in-laws say ? " Junkyu laughed.
" Your in-laws ? " " They are right ? " Junkyu laughed again. " Right ". Haruto grinned. " So ? " " I talked to them and they said they would like to meet you tomorrow if possible ". " Sure. I will come there as soon as the sun rises ". Junkyu laughed falling back on his bed. " Are you drunk ? " " A little. I met up with the guys today ".
Junkyu grinned. " Nice. Be careful on your way home ". " Okay ". " Then... see you tomorrow morning ". " Yes. See you ". There was a moment of silence. Haruto let out a breath. " Junkyu... " " Yeah ? " " I love you ". Junkyu chuckled. " I love you too ". Haruto smiled. " Bye ". " Bye ". Junkyu hung up. Haruto got up and went home.
The next day, Haruto did his best to look good and went to the location Junkyu sent him. He greeted Junkyu's parents respectfully. They did seem a bit on edge but by evening, they were completely fine and were having a nice time. Junkyu was happy that his parents liked Haruto. They left after dinner. Haruto told Junkyu about the things that happened in the park.
" Sorry ". Junkyu smiled and shook his head. " I wouldn't say I didn't have that thought. But I put it aside that maybe I was looking too much into it. I am also relieved after knowing about all of this ". Haruto smiled. " Do you want to meet my parents too ? " Junkyu nodded. " Sure. Of course I should ". Haruto smiled. " Let's go there next weekend ". " Okay ".
Haruto's parents were also very happy to meet Junkyu and pampered him. He was surprised and slowly got used to it. When they walked out, Junkyu turned to Haruto looking overwhelmed. Haruto burst out laughing and hugged to comfort him. Junkyu chuckled. Haruto rubbed his head. " Let's go ". Junkyu nodded.
