Chapter 29 - Chapter 28 - Megellan vs Gojo

Magellan maintained his distance from Gojo, who casually began probing his nose with his pinky finger.

Gojo Satoru, hands still nonchalantly tucked into his pockets, tilted his head. "Oh, hey. Finally, someone important shows up. I was starting to think this place ran on interns."

"Just what is your aim after causing such a ruckus?" Magellan snarled.

"To be noticed by the strongest. Simple as that, you could say," Gojo replied with a sigh.

"With such a foolish reason, you will die here by my hands."

"Then give it a try, venom freak," Gojo taunted, raising his middle finger toward Magellan.

The oppressive heat of Level 4 paled in comparison to the suffocating stench that accompanied Magellan's presence. His massive body gleamed with venom, each step dissolving the stone beneath his boots. Guards and prisoners alike froze as thick purple vapors saturated the air.

"You…" his voice boomed, low and venomous, "will go no further."

The prisoners behind him began coughing violently, clutching their throats as the toxic gas spread rapidly, searing their lungs. One by one, they collapsed into unconscious heaps.

Gojo glanced over his shoulder. "Aaand there they go. Out like a light. Can't say I blame them. You should really open a window here, y'know."

The final echoes of "Cap—" faded into the toxic air as the mob fell silent. Only Gojo and Magellan remained.

Magellan wasted no time. Purple hydras erupted from his back, their venomous jaws snapping wildly as they surged forward.

Gojo did not flinch. The hydras collided with an imperceptible barrier—Infinity shimmering faintly around him. Venom splattered outward, hissing against the stone but halting mere inches from his skin.

He wagged a finger dismissively. "Tsk, tsk. No touching. Personal space, my guy."

The hydras recoiled, striking repeatedly, yet each assault was arrested, frozen within the invisible field that warped space itself.

Magellan's glare intensified. "That trick will not last forever."

Gojo shrugged. "Forever's a long time. But you'll be happy to know I'm excellent at killing time."

Magellan's colossal fist, dripping with corrosive venom, came crashing down. Gojo tilted his head lazily, allowing the blow to deflect harmlessly off Infinity. The ground beneath them fractured like thunder, molten lava spurting upward.

With a smirk, Gojo leaped backward, his piercing blue eyes locked intently on Magellan. Then he surged forward, deactivating Infinity, his fist enveloped in cursed energy that shifted from azure to dark red orbs engulfing his entire hand.

Black Flash!!

Magellan observed Gojo's charge and encased his own body in a protective layer of venom, confident that the incoming strike could not penetrate his defenses.

Gojo's fist made contact, piercing cleanly through the venomous armor and dispersing it into vaporized particles that splattered across the vicinity. The blow struck Magellan squarely in the abdomen, propelling him backward. He crashed through Impel Down's thick brick walls, blood erupting from his mouth.

Gojo winced momentarily as his skin began melting from contact with Magellan's venom. "Shit! I almost ended the fight with a single punch!"

Magellan coughed up a torrent of blood, clutching his stomach as venom dripped from his body. Enraged, he emerged from the rubble of the shattered wall.

"Is this the end?" Magellan muttered, watching Gojo writhing on the floor as his flesh dissolved. "I shall reward your audacity for striking me with a swift death."

Hearing these words, Gojo burst into laughter as he rose, blood dripping from his melting form. "Watch." Utilizing his Reversed Cursed Technique, his skin regenerated instantly, restoring itself to perfection. "Is that all your venom could do? How boring!"

Magellan's jaw dropped at the incomprehensible scene he had just witnessed. How could anyone regenerate at such speed? Veins bulged across his forehead as he growled, "Just who the hell are you, and what manner of power is that?"

"Satoru Gojo—the man who will become the Pirate King!"

"You fight as though this is a game," Magellan snarled.

Gojo leaned sideways, hands still tucked comfortably in his pockets. "Isn't it? You're the boss of this level, right? Big scary poison guy? Classic video game vibes. What's next, a giant crab?"

Magellan did not respond. His aura intensified, and the poison surrounding them swelled like a tidal wave. Guards observing from a distance succumbed to the fumes. The prison walls hissed audibly as they began to melt.

Gojo frowned slightly. "Yikes. At this rate, the whole place will melt into miso soup. And I really hate soup."

Gojo evaded Magellan's attacks with effortless grace—shifting minimally, leaning subtly, rendering the assault absurdly trivial. Each poisoned impact collided with Infinity, producing earth-shaking reverberations, yet Gojo remained unperturbed.

At one point, Magellan roared in fury and launched three hydras simultaneously. Gojo clapped his hands together in mock alarm. "Oh no, three whole heads! Whatever shall I do?"

He sidestepped slightly to the left. The hydras crashed into one another, collapsing into a sizzling pool of poison.

Gojo offered a sarcastic golf clap. "Beautiful teamwork. Truly inspiring. You ought to take them on tour."

Magellan's patience eroded completely. "Mock me while you still can. This level shall be your grave."

Gojo smiled. "Nah. It's too stuffy here. I'd prefer to be buried somewhere with a breeze."

With a thunderous roar, Magellan unleashed his ultimate technique. Poison erupted around him, coalescing into a monstrous demon that loomed overhead, its immense form blotting out the fiery glow of the magma pits.

The venom demon's eyes blazed with malice, its claws dripping with liquid death. Each exhalation corroded the very ground beneath it.

The prison trembled as guards screamed and fled in terror.

Gojo whistled appreciatively. "Whoa. Now that's an upgrade. Looks like you brought your big brother to the party."

The demon lunged, claws tearing downward with catastrophic force. The entire cavern seemed to buckle under the assault. Gojo stood unwavering, Infinity shimmering imperceptibly. The claw halted inches from him, poison splattering harmlessly across the distorted space.

Gojo tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Hmm. Big, scary, and exceptionally smelly. Yep, that checks out."

Despite his levity, Gojo's tone shifted almost imperceptibly. Magellan's poison was not merely dangerous—it was consuming the very battlefield. Lava pits overflowed, stone melted away, and the air became utterly toxic.

For the first time, Gojo murmured under his breath, "If I didn't have Infinity, this would be genuinely troublesome. I suppose you really are a nightmare for anyone else."

Magellan caught the words, his glare sharpening. "Even your arrogance has its limits."

He surged forward, his body a torrent of venom, the demon looming behind him. Gojo finally moved in earnest, stepping lightly across the disintegrating terrain, his feet scarcely touching the collapsing floor.

The warden's strikes carved destruction with every blow, yet Gojo danced just beyond reach. He raised a hand, releasing a wave of raw cursed energy that rippled outward, shoving Magellan back with a concussive blast.

It was not Blue, nor Red—simply pure, undiluted force.

Magellan staggered but steadied himself, venom bubbling with renewed intensity.

The two adversaries faced each other across the crumbling ruins of the level.

"You're strong," Gojo admitted, a grin playing on his lips. "Most people break after two minutes of my charm. You? You're still glaring. Impressive."

Magellan's voice was cold as death. "This is not a charm. This is arrogance. You conceal yourself behind untouchable walls. Without them, you are nothing."

Gojo tilted his head. "Perhaps. But isn't it amusing that you still cannot breach them? It's rather like pounding your head against glass. Satisfying? Not particularly."

The Venom Demon roared, ascending even higher as Magellan channeled more power into it. Poison flooded the level, devouring everything in its path.

Gojo chuckled. "Man, you really are the janitor around here. Cleaning house with acid. It's a shame you're directing it all at me."

The ground split open, magma spilling across the battlefield. Entire structures within Level 4 crumbled into the fiery pits. The last conscious guards retreated, choking on the poisonous air.

Only Gojo and Magellan remained.

Magellan spread his arms wide, poison surging outward, his Venom Demon rising to its full, terrifying height. His voice thundered through the chaos:

"This is the end. Hell's Judgment!"

Gojo's smirk widened. Cursed energy erupted around him, the air distorting under the magnitude of his presence. He cracked his knuckles playfully.

"Well, well. Guess it's time to stop playing around. Hope you don't mind—I tend to get a little flashy."

The prison shook violently, caught between venom and Infinity.

Both combatants poised themselves to unleash absolute devastation—

And the scene cut, suspended in the breath before impact.
