Synopsis
Reborn in the world of High School DxD… was that supposed to be a joke? Because I wasn’t laughing. Still, it’s not the worst place to end up—if you stay away from the supernatural, that is. Except fate wasn’t about to let me sit on the sidelines. When I woke up, I didn’t just get reincarnated as some random guy. No, I looked exactly like Nate Adams from Yo-kai Watch… complete with the watch. At first, I thought it was some kind of bizarre prank universe. But the Yokai didn’t see it that way. To them, I wasn’t just some kid with a fancy watch—I was their prophesied King, the one destined to restore their pride and lead them out of the shadows. Great. Another “Chosen One” gig I never signed up for. The Yokai treat me like royalty, Yasaka’s staring at me like I’m the moon itself, and the prophecy says I’ll fix everything that went wrong with their world. And honestly? I can’t just ignore it. Like many DxD fans, I hated how the Yokai faction got shoved to the side. Guess what, Devils, Angels, and Fallen—you won’t be able to ignore us anymore. With a harem of powerful Yokai girls (and maybe a goddess or two), I’ll carve out a future where my people won’t be treated like pawns or second-class citizens. And when I eventually cross paths with Issei Hyoudou, I’m not going to hate him. No, I’ll sit down with him and talk about what it’s like to actually handle a harem. Because unlike half the fandom who whine about him being a pervert, I get it. This is my story. This is the rise of the Yokai King. ----- MC: Nate Ship: Nate X Harem (because it's DXD No-NTR (No of the girls in Issei Harem is gonna be in Nate Harem) DxD X Yo-kai Watch

Chapter 1 - Hello, Reincarnation

People say you only live once, so you should make the most of it. I believed in that. I loved playing games, watching anime, and spending time with my family. So when I finally died from my sickness, I left with a smile on my face.

Now, here I am.

I looked up and saw… a cosmic dragon, sitting casually on a chair beside me. His wings reflected the universe itself, stardust falling from them as he regarded me with ancient eyes.

We locked gazes in silence for a moment.

The dragon finally spoke, his deep voice echoing like galaxies colliding.

"Well, I gotta say… after countless years doing this job as the Dragon of Rebirth, I've only met a few souls like you. I'm gonna call you Nate."

I tilted my head. "That's close to my real name, so… sure, you can use it."

The dragon smirked.

"Normally, I make people spin a wheel to decide what world they'll be reborn into, what character they'll inhabit, and what powers they'll have."

I raised an eyebrow. "So… what's the difference this time?"

The Dragon of Rebirth let out a booming laugh.

"I can't do that to someone who lived his life to the fullest."

I crossed my arms, trying sarcasm to hide the nervousness. "So what then? I just go to heaven?"

The dragon chuckled, shaking his head.

"If you did, we wouldn't be having this conversation. No… I've already picked the world for you. The power, though… that you'll have to earn yourself. But trust me when I say—this is a world where you'll thrive."

I let out a slow breath, then nodded. "Well, so be it. If I can thrive there, I will. Just… as long as I'm not the villain. I hate those kinds of stories."

Nate rose from his chair, clenching his fists. "Okay, let's start."

The Dragon chuckled, spreading his cosmic wings. Space twisted and a shimmering portal opened, the stars bending around its edges.

Nate looked at the dragon one last time, then started walking toward the light.

"One more thing," the Dragon of Rebirth said, amusement rumbling in his voice.

"It's DxD."

Nate froze mid-step. Before he could even curse, his body was sucked forward, pulled like a leaf into a black hole.

"Wait—WHAT?! Is that a joke, you oversized lizard?!"

The dragon's laughter echoed through the void as the portal closed. He smirked to himself.

"Maybe I should've mentioned… it's a mix. Yo-kai Watch is also there. Well, Nate Adam… have fun."

Meanwhile…

Inside the maternity ward of Kyoto's largest hospital, the cries of a newborn rang out. Doctors and nurses exchanged relieved sighs—the delivery was safe. Both mother and child had survived.

The exhausted woman lay back against the bed, sweat clinging to her forehead, yet her smile shone brighter than anything else. Beside her, her husband held her hand, whispering reassurances as their child's wails echoed into the world.

Far across the city, in a secluded, sunlit garden, another figure sat with perfect elegance.

A young-looking woman, with a voluptuous figure and long, spiraling blonde hair tied in a ponytail, calmly sipped her tea. Her delicate features and noble bearing could fool anyone into thinking she was in her twenties. But her true presence betrayed her age—nine golden tails fanned gracefully behind her, shimmering with divine power.

Yasaka, the ruler of Kyoto, let out a soft sigh as she watched her daughter sleeping soundly in her crib. Kunou's tiny face resembled her own—she would surely grow into her mother's beauty one day.

"Yasaka-sama!"

The sharp cry made her ears twitch. She turned, brows raising, as a tengu warrior rushed toward her, clutching something ancient in trembling hands.

It was an old relic, one Yasaka recognized instantly. The moment she saw it, her heart skipped a beat.

"The relic…" the tengu gasped, thrusting it forward. "It's glowing!"

Yasaka stood quickly, golden tails bristling. The relic—an artifact from the dawn of the yokai—was glowing with all seven of its stars alight. A sign unseen in centuries.

Her eyes widened. She whispered the words almost reverently:

"The Child of Prophecy has been born."

At that same moment, high above the mortal world…

A man floated in the heavens, his twelve golden wings stretching wide, radiating light. His long blond hair swayed gently, his green eyes shining with divine grace. Clad in a red robe with a golden cross upon his white alb, golden armor across his shoulders, and a radiant halo above his head—he was unmistakably one of Heaven's mightiest.

Michael, leader of the Archangels.

He worked silently at the great system left behind by God Himself—the "computer" that maintained Heaven's records and laws. Suddenly, the entire screen before him flared white, before shutting down entirely.

Michael froze. His eyes narrowed, and his lips pressed into a thin line.

"There is only one reason this would happen…" he muttered. "A prophecy child has been born."

He clenched his fist, concern tightening his jaw.

"But… to which side?"

Yasaka didn't waste a second. She pushed open the great sliding doors, golden tails swishing with urgency.

Inside the meeting hall, the yokai elders were gathered, most looking like they'd been dragged from their futons at swordpoint.

One particularly round tanuki yawned loudly, scratching his belly.

"Lady Yasaka… what matter is so urgent that you summoned all of us at such an hour? Even nightmares have schedules, you know…"

A kitsune elder rubbed his eyes, grumbling. "I was in the middle of teaching my grandson the proper art of shapeshifting—he finally managed to turn into a teapot without a spout!"

A tengu smacked his fan against the floor to silence them. "Show some respect! If Yasaka-sama has called us, then it must be grave."

Yasaka raised the relic high, its seven stars blazing so brightly the entire room lit up in gold. The complaining instantly died.

Every elder froze. Their jaws slackened. For a moment, the only sound was the crackle of divine energy radiating from the artifact.

"This…" whispered the oldest among them, a wrinkled kappa with a voice like gravel. "This hasn't shone since the Age of Myths."

Yasaka nodded, her expression calm but her eyes sharp. "The prophecy is real. The child has been born tonight."

Gasps filled the chamber. A few elders trembled, some muttered prayers, and one fainted outright.

The tanuki elder, now fully awake, tugged at his whiskers nervously. "You mean… that child? The one destined to change the balance between yokai, heaven, and hell?"

Yasaka's tails swayed as she placed the relic down on the table before them.

"Yes. The stars have confirmed it."

Her gaze hardened.

"The Child of Prophecy now walks this earth. Whether he brings salvation or ruin… will depend on us."

The chamber was silent after Yasaka's proclamation. The relic's glow pulsed, bathing the elders in golden light. The weight of destiny pressed down on them all.

Then the tanuki elder cleared his throat.

"…Well, guess that means we've finally got a king now. About time."

A ripple of nods went through the room. But then the tanuki leaned forward, scratching his chin, and added casually:

"Also, Yasaka… you do remember, don't you?"

Yasaka blinked. "Remember what—?"

The old raccoon dog smirked. "The prophecy. About the Nine-Tailed Fox destined to be the child's… ahem… companion."

The room froze. Every eye turned to Yasaka.

Her golden ears twitched. Her tails puffed. Slowly, she turned red from the tips of her ears to the base of her neck.

"Yes, I know!" she snapped, covering her face with her sleeves. "It's been passed down in my family for generations—I haven't forgotten it!"

A crow tengu whispered to another: "So… basically… the prophecy says she's fated to be his future wife."

The kappa wheezed, "Ohhh, the scandal~!" before being smacked by the kitsune elder's fan.

Yasaka stomped her foot, tails lashing.

"Enough! That part of the prophecy doesn't matter right now! What matters is the boy himself—and making sure he grows into the leader the yokai need."

The elders bowed their heads respectfully… though several were still hiding smirks.

The kitsune elder stroked his beard thoughtfully.

"Then, to confirm the prophecy child's identity… we will need to cross-check every birth record in every Kyoto hospital until the time of birth aligns."

The entire council groaned in unison.

A kappa flopped onto the tatami mat. "Ughhh… paperwork. I signed up to guard rivers, not fill out forms."

The tengu muttered, "It'll take days…"

Yasaka sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"…Or we can just skip to option B. Knowing my luck, I already know whose child it is."

She waved her hand. A shimmering magic circle appeared, projecting the image of a woman with soft brown hair, glasses, and a warm smile—wearing her usual casual outfit with the bright orange polka-dotted scarf.

The elders blinked as one.

"The Watch Holder?!" the kappa croaked, eyes bulging.

Yasaka nodded tiredly. "Yes. Lily Adam. The last generation's Yo-kai Watch bearer. She just gave birth earlier tonight… I was going to visit her anyway to congratulate her."

The chamber fell silent, and then the kappa slapped the floor with a wet splat.

"…Well, at least this prophecy child is already connected to the supernatural. Saves us some trouble."

The tanuki snorted. "Yeah. Saves us from drowning in hospital reports, more like."

Yasaka allowed herself a small, weary smile.

"Exactly. Now… we watch. And we prepare."

The tengu elder tilted his head, feathers ruffling.

"But Lady Yasaka… how can we be certain the prophecy child is connected to the Watch Holder? It could be anyone."

Yasaka turned her golden eyes on him, her tails swaying slowly behind her. Her tone was flat, dry as a desert.

"…Have you seen our luck recently?"

Silence. Every elder in the chamber froze, their faces stiff.

The kappa sighed, shoulders slumping. "...She's not wrong."

The tanuki groaned. "Prophecies never go easy on us."

The kitsune elder just rubbed his temples. "Alright, fine. The Watch Holder's child it is. Kami save us all."

Meanwhile back with Nate, he was on in his Mother arms, blinking, he looked at his Mother Lily as she smiled at him

Nate blinked in his mother's arms, staring at Lily Adams' gentle smile.

"She looks exactly like… wait. That's literally Nate's mom from Yo-kai Watch…"

Lily shifted him carefully, cradling him close. "Nate… that will be your name. Nate Adams."

His tiny body stilled.

'Excuse me? Did she just call me—wait, what? I thought this was DxD, not Yo-kai Watch. Did that damn cosmic lizard scam me?!'

His gaze shifted weakly toward the man standing beside Lily — brown-haired, brown-eyed, with a green shirt and jeans. His dad.

"No way… am I seriously just reborn as Nate Adams? The protagonist of Yo-kai Watch?!"

Before he could spiral further, something stirred at the edge of his newborn senses. His head didn't move, but deep within, he felt two flickers of energy far away. Ancient. Fox-like. One was vast and burning like the sun. The other… smaller, softer, like a tiny ember.

His infant mouth let out a tiny wail, startling his parents. Lily laughed softly, rocking him.

"There, there, Nate. No need to cry."

'Lady, if you knew the kind of mess I've just been born into, you'd be crying too.'

Nate's eyelids grew heavy. He gave his mother one last glance before muttering in his mind, "Great… sleep. Hopefully those two weird energies I felt aren't important."

His breathing steadied as he drifted off, leaving the room quiet—almost too quiet.

Lily's gaze sharpened as she whispered, "Come out now."

Shimmers of otherworldly light swirled, and three figures took form before her.

The first was a short, orange-furred lion Yo-kai with a blazing mane and eyebrows of living fire, his massive hands traced with red spirals.

[Insert image of Blazion Here.]

Beside him padded a small, ivory-furred Komainu resembling a Shiba Inu. Blue flames flickered from his brows, lime-green eyes gleamed with gentle innocence, and his body carried red swirls across his cheeks and hips.

[Insert imahe of Komasan here]

The last was far more imposing. His fur shimmered with a milky-blue mane tipped in icy light, six flames burning along his tails. Yellow brows shadowed his orange eyes, and at his side rested a nihontō in a maroon sheath. The warrior's presence carried the weight of countless battles fought.

[Insert image of Lie-in Heart]

Aaron exhaled sharply, running a hand down his face. "I am never getting used to this…"

Komasan tilted her head, padding closer to the crib. Her voice was soft, almost melodic. "Aww… he's very cute. Like a small river running through the village side…"

Lily's lips softened into a smile as she looked upon her son. "Yes… instead, he's mine."

Blazion's fiery mane sparked with excitement, fists clenching. "He already has spirit! I can feel it in his soul. But… why couldn't he see us when he was awake?"

Lily's eyes flicked to her companion knowingly. "Too many people were in the room."

Lie-in Heart's fiery eyes lingered on the sleeping child before turning to Lily. His voice was calm, but carried the weight of tradition.

"Master… you know as well as I do. Once the time comes, you must give him the Watch. It is the way of the Yo-kai Seers — to pass down the object that maintains the balance between the normal world and the supernatural."

Lily's hand trembled slightly as she brushed a lock of Nate's hair from his forehead. Her sigh was heavy, almost brittle.

"Yes… I know. We Seers are meant to pass our sacred objects to the next generation, so they can keep the Balance. But…" She bit her lip, eyes glistening. "I'm sorry, Nate. I failed you."

Blazion stepped forward, mane flaring, his voice fierce with conviction.

"Hey! Don't say that, Lily! You didn't fail. You gave everything you had — the best anyone could ask for."

Her shoulders sagged, another sigh escaping.

"Yet… I still couldn't protect the Yo-kai from the other factions…"

Lie-in Heart scoffed, his tails flicking, his tone half a growl.

"Those Crows, Bats, and Pelicans… they'll never show us respect until someone stands on their level and speaks in their tongue. You tried, Lily. You did more than most would dare."

Aaron raised a brow at the Yo-kai, piecing it together.

"Crows, Bats, and Pelicans? …Oh, right. The three Christian factions."

Lily gave him a proud smile. "At least you've been keeping up with my supernatural lessons."

Aaron chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Well, I did marry a woman who lives knee-deep in supernatural nonsense… had to learn something just to keep up."

Komasan let out a soft chuckle, his tail swishing.

"Aww, I still remember the first time you learned about the supernatural. You ran like a scared little river-boy!"

Aaron pointed at him, mock-offended.

"Hey! You guys were fighting each other with fire and ice in my living room! I thought I was losing my mind!"

Blazion burst out laughing, flames flickering brighter.

"And you nearly tripped over your own couch trying to escape!"

Aaron groaned, covering his face with one hand.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. Traumatize the human husband, why don't you."
