"Lady Nelliel!!!"
Menoly stared at the newcomer in delight, so happy she even forgot about the pain in her body.
Loly also looked thrilled—but she snapped back to reality almost instantly and shouted anxiously:
"Lady Nelliel, these guys are Quincy! I don't know why they invaded Hueco Mundo, but they're all really strong…!"
"Annoying."
Driscoll impatiently fired an arrow, intending to finish off that nagging Arrancar woman first.
From the looks of it, there were plenty of Hollows in Las Noches anyway—one less wouldn't matter.
"So they really are enemies…"
A cold glint flashed through Nelliel's eyes. She lightly stepped forward
And her figure shot toward Loly at extreme speed.
With several sharp crack-crack sounds, all the Heilig Pfeil pinning Loly down shattered.
Nelliel scooped Loly up, retreated back to Menoly's side, and set her down on the ground.
Driscoll failed to land his shot and couldn't help looking surprised as he stared at Nelliel.
"So fast."
He hadn't held back just now. The Heilig Pfeil he fired were his strongest shots.
And yet this female Arrancar had dodged them with ease—her speed was terrifying.
Nelliel didn't respond. Her gaze only grew heavier.
She could feel how strong the Quincy across from her were.
And that speed just now
It came from a special ability unique to her Hollowfication form.
Super Acceleration.
A power other Hollows didn't possess.
By leveraging gravity, it could double her speed.
Because of that
Her speed was the greatest among the Espada.
Quilge's interest rose as well. He licked his lips slightly, eyes cruel as he stared at Nelliel.
"Not bad. I didn't expect Hueco Mundo to still have someone like you. This trip wasn't wasted. Hurry up and change your form."
He knew Arrancar Hollows had a Resurrección (Return Blade) form—turning from a human-like state back into a Hollow state.
That was also why he called Hollows beasts.
Nelliel ignored him.
Instead, she opened her mouth wide—purple spiritual pressure boiling inside.
"Enemies… die."
Boom!
A purple Cero (Hollow Flash) blasted out like a roaring flood, surging straight toward the Quincy.
Quilge was about to move
But Driscoll was faster.
He burst into savage laughter, roaring violently:
"Beast! I hope you're stronger! Let me vent a little and release the anger in my heart!"
The failure in Seireitei.
The scolding from Yhwach.
The fear of having his life threatened
All of it twisted into brutality at this moment.
As he roared, blood-red wings erupted behind him, even carrying a stench of gore.
He had entered Vollständig (Complete Holy Form).
Quilge frowned, covered his nose, and took two steps back.
"Too much blood stench…"
Even though they were both Sternritter, Quilge looked down on Driscoll.
Not only was Driscoll arrogant—his ability was crude.
His Schrift: The Massacre.
He had to kill to continuously grow stronger, and his initial state was also his weakest.
Could this guy really defeat that "beast" over there?
Quilge doubted it.
Facing the incoming purple Cero (Hollow Flash), Driscoll laughed and swung the blue reishi blade in his hand.
With a thunderous boom
The purple Cero (Hollow Flash) was cleaved apart.
But Driscoll himself was injured badly from the impact, and that only stoked his rage further.
He swept his eyes around the surroundings.
He needed to slaughter some low-tier Hollows to strengthen his Schrift: The Massacre.
Otherwise, this form really was too weak.
But looking around
Where were the fodder Hollows?
Las Noches was empty.
Only a few Hollows were nearby.
After all, this was Las Noches.
Ordinary fodder Hollows didn't have the right to enter.
Just as Driscoll was burning with frustration, his expression suddenly changed
Because Nelliel had charged in.
Nelliel closed the distance and swung her blade without hesitation, voice calm:
"Sing… Gamuza!"
In an instant, she transformed.
Her upper body remained human, but her lower body became that of a gazelle-like beast.
The twin horns attached to her skull mask became long, segmented horns that curved backward.
Her collarbone, shoulders, elbows, hands, everything was covered in white armor.
Her arms gained long black sleeve-gloves.
In this form, Nelliel's spiritual pressure skyrocketed, as if she'd become a purple goddess.
She gripped a double-headed spear and hurled it at Driscoll with savage force, shouting:
"Cero Doble (Green Twin Spear)!"
Purple light burst from the double-headed spear as it spun at high speed—
And struck Driscoll at point-blank range.
Driscoll let out a scream so intense it sounded like his soul was being torn apart.
Even with Blut Vene fully active
Even in Vollständig
His defense was still pierced by the Green Twin Spear, blood spraying from his chest as if the strike would drill straight through his heart.
Driscoll could only keep forcing Blut Vene again and again, desperately trying to hold that blow back.
Just as Nelliel thought she'd landed the decisive hit—
Her pupils shrank to the extreme.
Blood… on her left shoulder.
She retreated instantly.
With her gazelle-like lower body, her speed became even faster.
Only after she pulled back to Loly's side did she stop, staring grimly at Quilge.
It had been the bespectacled Quincy
He had slashed her at incredible speed.
If she hadn't reacted quickly, and if her Hierro (Steel Skin) hadn't held
Her body might've been cut in half.
Quilge looked regretful as he flicked blood from his blue reishi blade.
He didn't chase Nelliel.
Instead, he looked at Driscoll and said calmly:
"Your Schrift isn't suited for this place. Go inside. Maybe there are Hollows there that you can massacre."
Driscoll's face twisted. Not only did he refuse to leave—
He dismissed his Vollständig and roared:
"Quilge! Don't look down on me! So what if I can't massacre fodder? I'm not the same as before!!!"
As he roared, he pulled out his star medal and bellowed:
"Bankai!"
"Kōkō Gonryō Rikyū (Yellow Brilliance, Strict Spirit Detached Palace)!"
In the sky, golden lightning flashed.
Countless bolts of gold fell like rain, blasting the walls into flying rubble.
Quilge's eyes narrowed in realization.
Right—Driscoll had just obtained a Shinigami's Bankai.
And it was the Wandenreich's first trophy.
That was probably why Yhwach spared Driscoll's life.
Driscoll controlled the lightning-filled heavens, walking toward Nelliel with a cruel grin.
"Well, beast? Does this ability look familiar?"
"That's right—this is a Shinigami's Bankai. Never thought you'd die under a Shinigami's zanpakuto power, did you…?"
"You keep calling us beasts…"
A cold voice spoke right beside Driscoll.
In the next instant, Grimmjow—already in Pantera (Leopard King) form—blitzed in.
The Pantera claw, glowing with blue light, ripped straight at Driscoll.
Driscoll's face changed sharply. He tried to wrap himself in a ring of lightning—
But he was half a beat too slow.
"Agh!"
Blood splashed.
Another claw-mark tore open Driscoll's already blood-soaked body.
It wasn't deep
But it was deadly enough.
Driscoll's eyes went furious, yet he still forced himself to retreat a step.
But before he could stabilize
A wild, unrestrained laugh echoed from nearby.
"Interesting. Interesting! Quincy, huh?"
"Nelliel, you're useless. You actually got injured by trash like this?"
"As expected of female Hollows—worthless!"
"Hahahahaha!"
Nnoitra, also in Resurrección (Return Blade) form, laughed maniacally, swinging the crescent scythes held by his six arms.
Boom boom boom
Six terrifying slashes of blade energy tore forward.
Driscoll had no choice but to brace again, roaring as he pushed Kōkō Gonryō Rikyū (Yellow Brilliance, Strict Spirit Detached Palace) at maximum output—
Barely blocking those six lethal strikes.
After doing that, his face had already gone pale.
He immediately retreated several steps, pulling back to Quilge's side.
"Opie… something's wrong…"
He stared at the figures ahead, shaken.
How many Arrancar Hollows were there!?
Nelliel.
Grimmjow.
Nnoitra.
And the late-arriving Tier Harribel.
Along with them, many other Arrancar Hollows had arrived too
All staring at the Quincy with cold, hostile eyes.
Evil, dark spiritual pressure seeped around their bodies, like the gathering of every wicked thought and greedy desire in the world
And that was the true nature of Hollows.
Born from the malice of intelligent life.
How arrogant.
Aizen had done it.
Then Cole had done it.
And now Quincy were doing it too
Did everyone think Las Noches was their backyard?
Did everyone think Hollows were easy prey?
