Kael was standing at the formation display, not looking at it. His hands were flat on the table, and his face held the particular blankness of someone whose mind was working too fast for his expression to keep up. Shen sat in the corner chair, dark hair loose around her shoulders, ancient eyes fixed on a point in the middle distance that didn't correspond to anything in the room.
