Taron set down the flatbread he had been eating, because Taron ate through most meetings and the fact that he stopped was itself a kind of comment.

"Until I say otherwise."
"That's not a length."
"No, it isn't." Raven put both hands on the table. "You want the reasons. There are two, and you're getting both, because if I give you only one you'll spend a month deciding which one I'm hiding."
