Damian grabbed his gun, eyes narrowing at the feed flickering across Luca's monitor.
"She's not running," he muttered. "She's being hunted."
Luca frowned. "What makes you so sure?"
Damian's gaze flicked to Isabella, who stood frozen by the doorway. "Because that's what Adrian does. He doesn't attack head-on; he bleeds loyalty until it breaks."
He loaded his weapon and turned to Luca. "Get the team ready. I'm going after her."
"Alone?" Luca asked sharply.
"Yes," Damian said. "She's the bait. Adrian wants me out of the mansion."
"And Isabella?" Luca asked, glancing at her.
Damian's eyes softened briefly. "She stays here. Under your protection."
"No," Isabella protested. "I'm not hiding while you"
He silenced her with a look that held both command and fear. "If anything happens to you, none of this means anything."
Their eyes locked a moment of fire and heartbreak.
