I was coming down the stairs when I heard that girl speaking. I stepped closer without them noticing my presence; her friend froze the moment he saw me, poor thing. When I spoke, the girl froze too—I'll deal with her later. As I left, I could still hear them. Uhm, if only they knew that I can hear everything. I walk toward the door just as the TALOR family arrives. Let the game begin.
Im: Thank you for honoring us with your presence.
Kamran: It was necessary, otherwise how could my son, now the lord of the vampires, know his enemy?
Im: Thank you nonetheless for coming. Please, come in.
I hate pretending to be humble, ugh, I just want this over with.
Evera: Quite pretty decorations.
Kamran: My chamber is much better.
I flash a smile as fake as my act toward his stupid arrogance, but soon he'll see who I really am.

I sip my wine.
Connor: Supreme, what should we do now?

I glance down and see the three powers glaring dangerously at one another. I tilt my head to listen.

Downstairs, the families faced off.
Nevine: What are you doing here!?
Kamran: We were invited.
Naylinah: I came to show my daughter who our enemies are.
Kamran: Let me laugh, look at the sister of the one who was my brother's mate!
Nevine: We shouldn't even be allowed in the same room!
Junior: Father, calm down.
Nevine: Shut up, Junior!
Kamran: Oh please, let us tell your son you are a murderer. You killed my brother's mate without mercy!
Nevine: She was a traitor, she betrayed us!
Naylinah: Maybe my sister betrayed you too!
Her wolf threatened to surface, silence fell as everyone listened.
Nevine: She tried to kill me, for God's sake!
Naylinah: That still makes you a murderer!
Im: ENOUGH!
He appeared out of nowhere, speaking loud enough to terrify everyone.
Im: Today is an important day, so please do not fight here.
Nevine caught his breath.
Nevine: Sorry, Supreme.
He cast a dark glare at the others, who returned it.
Im: Junior, come here for a moment.
Junior: Yes, Supreme.
He walked over, and they spoke. Suddenly, Athèna approached Naynah and Naylinah.
Athèna: Nayn.
Naynah: My aunt.
They embraced.
Athèna: Well, Alpha, you look radiant.
Naynah: Thank you, Aunt.
Athèna then hugged Naylinah.
Athèna: Big sister.
Naylinah: My little Athèna.
Athèna: I'm not little—I am now the Luna of an entire pack.
Liam: Good evening, Alpha sister-in-law.
Naylinah: Good evening, I hope you treat my sister well.

Naynah laughed softly at her mother's wolf's thought.

The Beta family arrived.

Im threw away the glass and spoon, turned his back, and raised his hands.
Im: Lucifer's chain, the flame of the underworld!
Suddenly, flaming chains burst from the ground.
Nevine: Why is he casting a spell invoking Lucifer?!
Harry: Oh no…
Chains wrapped everyone against the walls. Junior was bound to a pillar. The great hall now lay empty, all the guests shackled. Naynah tried to break the chains, but Im laughed wickedly.
Naynah: Why can't I break these!?
Im: Because these chains contain aconite, young Alpha. And not only that—there is silver. You cannot escape.
He laughed maniacally. So this was his plan all along. But… is this the end of the supernaturals?
