Author's POV
On the terrace, Im was still smiling.
Im: It's time to get serious.
Athènia: For once, you're right.
Athènia shifted into her half-wolf, half-human form.
Im: A white wolf.
He grinned and transformed into a half-wolf with black fur. His eyes turned completely dark, showing he clearly couldn't coexist properly with his wolf. His vampire fangs came out—he didn't look like he was playing anymore, but rather determined to kill.
Athènia: So this is what you call Im's demonic form. Not as demonic as I thought.
Im: Come on, attack me, little princess.
He taunted Athènia.
Athènia lunged at him, and he countered. This fight was much faster than their first one. Im swung a punch at her, then cast a paralysis spell, which Athènia dodged, retaliating with an ice spell. Icebergs with sharp spikes burst forth, forcing Im to dodge.
Athènia (thinking): Defeating him won't be easy, especially since he has a third gene I don't—one that's unpredictable. I can match him with my powers and my wolf, but I lack vampire blood.
Im dodged Athènia's sharp glass blade and struck her with silver granite straight to the heart. Her heartbeat stopped for a second. He immediately followed with another blow—the infamous Poison Mortal spell, deadly enough to kill her instantly. Athènia fell to the ground, reverting to her human form.
Im: Silver granite is a deadly stone to hybrids. Do you know why aconite is the most lethal weapon of all time? But I doubt you know that, Athènia.
He sneered as she struggled to get up, kicking her in the stomach.
Im: You're pathetic. The chosen one meant to save hybrids will die by my hand.
Athènia suddenly laughed manically. With all the strength in her body, she managed to stand again.
Athènia: Oh no, dear Im. Here, it's the law of the strongest that rules.
Im: How can you still stand?
Athènia: You're strong, Im, I admit it. But not stronger than me. You were born strong, but I was born even stronger. Your reign is over—make way for us now.
Im: And what do you plan to do?
Athènia: Kill you once and for all.

Meanwhile, in the great hall, Garth and Felix's battle was fierce, neither willing to back down.
Felix: Give up, kid.
Garth: Surrender isn't in my vocabulary.
He dodged Felix's ice spike and countered with a black flame spell—one only dark sorcerers could wield. Felix wasn't fast enough to block it, screaming in agony as the flames consumed him.
Connor: Felix!!
Felix: A… dark sorcerer!?
Garth: You're finished, Felix.
But Felix smirked.
Felix: Oh, you think so?
Icebergs suddenly shot toward Garth from behind.
Felix: Don't forget, I am Supreme Im's third commander.
Garth smirked back.
Garth: A commander as weak as a slave.
Felix: How dare you insult me!?
The iceberg was about to strike, but to Felix's shock, it melted.
Felix: How…?
Garth: Magma can melt anything, Felix.
He summoned magma from the ceiling, letting it rain down onto Felix, who screamed in torment.
Garth: Go to hell, Felix. Say hello to Lucifer for me.
Felix was consumed by the flames. Garth sighed, returning to his human form.
Garth: I avenged you, Mom.
He recalled an image of his smiling mother.
Atlas: Garth, we need your help.
He pushed back warriors with his power as Junior lay on the ground, overwhelmed by Athènia's pain.
Garth snapped his fingers and appeared beside them.
Garth: What's happening?
Atlas: It's Athènia—she's hurt. Junior can't fight while feeling her pain. We need you to hold off these warriors pouring in from everywhere.
Junior: I… I'll be fine.
Garth: Don't worry, little cousin. We'll handle it.
Junior: Cou…cousin!?
Garth: Yeah, long story.
Kévine: Watch out!!
Kévine flipped backward, snapping a warrior's neck mid-air.
They kept fighting while Junior, forcing himself to rise, managed to repel some enemies. Leaning on a pillar, he gazed upward, toward the terrace where Athènia was determined to end it all.
Athènia: Kora, heal me.
But there was no answer.
Athènia: Kora!
Im lunged, casting the Poison Mortal spell, knocking her off balance. He was about to bite her—his bite could kill instantly—but Athènia struck him first, sending him flying.
Athènia: Now, I'll kill you.
---
She raised her hand, summoning her hobbit back to her. Im smirked.
Im: I admit, you're strong. I'm just down, not hurt.
He stood, lifting his arms, tracing a circle with his feet.
Im: Invocado El puedo.
Athènia: Mortal shock.
She mirrored his move.
Im: Devil fire!
He launched the spell toward her, but she countered. Still, unprepared, she was forced back.
Im: You're not strong enough, Miss Growls.
Athènia: That's what you think.
She circled her hand behind her.
Athènia: Cercle enflameda.
She pulled her arm forward, drawing another circle.
Athènia: Booster power.
The force rattled Im, though he quickly recovered.
Im: Dracos tried this before and failed.
Athènia: What Dracos couldn't do, I will accomplish—and better.
She drew her hands together.
Athènia: Booster power max.
She stepped back with her left foot, hands pulled behind her.
Athènia: Mortal shock!
Her spell collided with Im's. Their full power surged, cracking the surrounding walls.
Im: Give up! You'll never defeat me—I am immortal!
Athènia: But you don't know the hybrids' greatest law.
She smiled, stepping back.
Athènia: A hybrid can only be killed by another hybrid.
Her eyes glowed blue.
Athènia: Mortal Hell Shock!
Her final spell shattered Im's, slamming into him. His screams of agony echoed through the entire manor. Im was finally defeated—banished to hell.
Athènia slowly walked toward his fallen body.
Kora: You did it, Lis.
Athènia: Funny how you only show up after the fight.
Kora: The silver granite weakened me.
Athènia: It's over now.
---
Downstairs, Garth broke the chains imprisoning people. The battle raged on. Mara doused Connor with water, but he dodged and kicked—only for Mara to catch his leg and break it. They all froze at Im's scream, looking up at the roof.
Connor smirked.
Connor: The sound of defeat… your Supreme.
Mara: I won't kill you yet—not until I know who's dead.
She unleashed all four elements at once. Connor tried to block, but failed—her attack struck, and Mara bit him.
Connor: Ahhh!
She slapped a silver cuff on his wrist.
Connor: Wh…what did you do to me?
Mara: A strike that won't kill you instantly.
Suddenly, a loud crash shook the hall. Dust filled the air, then cleared. Everyone gasped.
Connor: Supreme!!
There, lying in blood, was Im—the one said to be the most powerful of all. The warriors tried to flee, but the entrance doors slammed shut, blocking escape.
Mara: Lis…
Athènia: It's over.
