Chapter 251 - Chapter 251: The Heaven-Gifted Soul Bone

Chapter 251: The Heaven-Gifted Soul Bone

Those who frequented the Starry Auction Pavilion's events had more or less learned to predict the order of the auction items.

Just from its timing, they knew this particular soul bone had to be extraordinary.

"But that's odd… why doesn't it carry any trace of a soul beast's aura?"

Even Di Tian and the Soul Beasts found themselves puzzled.

Normally, a soul bone was born from the remains of a soul beast. Even if a beast offered itself willingly and died without resentment, its essence would still leave behind traces of its bloodline or origin.

Yet the head soul bone before them was… strange.

It contained no beastly essence—no impurities of any kind. It radiated pure energy, refined to perfection.

Even Di Tian, with his eighty-thousand-year cultivation, could sense that the purity of this soul bone's power surpassed his own.

There was no doubt it was a hundred-thousand-year soul bone—but its energy was far too clean, far too alien.

"Master, can you tell what's special about it?" Di Tian turned to Gu Yuena. "Is it really a soul bone born from one of our kind?"

"I can't say for sure," Gu Yuena replied softly. "It does look as though it came from a soul beast, but as you said—it bears no trace of any beast's essence. It feels… as if it simply appeared from nothing."

Her words deepened the sense of mystery. Even their Master, who knew the world's deepest secrets, couldn't identify it.

Bi Ji listened silently and decided to test it herself. She extended her divine sense toward the soul bone.

Her consciousness sank into a sphere of pure, untainted power. There was no beastly signature, no lingering will—nothing but raw soul force.

The purity was breathtaking, and the anomaly only made her more uneasy.

Where could this soul bone have come from?

And why did it appear in such a perfect form?

The gathered soul beasts—led by Gu Yuena—focused their gazes on the hovering bone, waiting for the Pavilion's explanation.

At the back rows of Shrek Academy, Huo Yuhao watched, bewildered.

"Brother Tianmeng, Ice Emperor… any idea what's going on with this soul bone?"

It didn't make sense. At this late stage of the auction, only the most incredible treasures were presented—things far beyond a mere hundred-thousand-year soul bone.

"From its appearance, it does resemble a beast-born bone, but there's no essence inside," Tianmeng said after probing it with his million-year mental power. "The energy within is too pure—unnaturally so. It doesn't even feel like it belongs to this world."

"Yuhao," the Ice Emperor added, her tone cautious, "the energy signature isn't that of a soul beast at all. It feels like the most primal form of life force between heaven and earth. I suspect this bone wasn't born from a creature, but condensed from nature itself."

At that moment, another voice echoed from Yuhao's spiritual sea—Electrolux.

"I agree," he said. "This seems to be what we'd call a Heaven-Gifted Soul Bone—a relic directly formed from the purest forces of creation, not from flesh or blood. The energy inside seems to connect with the power of heaven and earth itself."

He'd seen something similar in his own world, long ago.

"Wait, really? A soul bone created from nothing?" Tianmeng exclaimed, stunned.

Even after living for a million years, this was the first time he'd heard of such a thing.

The concept alone was unbelievable.

Still, given that it came from the Starry Auction Pavilion, perhaps nothing should be surprising anymore. Everything they presented defied logic.

Huo Yuhao leaned back, curiosity gleaming in his eyes, choosing to listen rather than question.

Whatever its use, he knew such an item would cost far more than he or Shrek could ever offer. Competing for it was out of the question.

On stage, Jiang Li noticed the confusion spreading through the crowd and smiled faintly.

"It seems most of you have sensed it," he began. "Yes, what you see is indeed a hundred-thousand-year head soul bone—but you may be wondering why it appears now, at such a late stage in the auction."

"Normal soul bones—whether ten-thousand, hundred-thousand, or even million-year—are born from the deaths of soul beasts. This one, however, is different."

He paused deliberately.

"This soul bone did not come from any soul beast. It came from nowhere at all—it manifested of its own accord."

The audience was stunned.

"Manifested? Out of thin air?"

"That's impossible!"

"This must be the true secret of this auction piece—something truly unique!"

Murmurs filled the room as Jiang Li's words fanned the growing tide of disbelief and curiosity.

At last, Jiang Li spoke again, his voice calm but firm.

"This soul bone is called the Heaven-Gifted Soul Bone—a creation born entirely from the forces of heaven and earth themselves."

"The power of heaven and earth governs all things. The energy you cultivate, the laws you wield—everything stems from it. This soul bone was condensed by those very forces, shaped by the laws of the Douluo Continent itself."

"Its origins are extraordinary—and so are its effects."

When Jiang Li had first drawn this artifact, even he was astonished.

That the Douluo world's natural energy could condense something so perfect was beyond comprehension. But the soul skill hidden within it… that was what truly defied the heavens.

Were it not for the Pavilion's principle of fairness, he would never have let it leave his possession.

"A Heaven-Gifted Soul Bone…"

Huo Yuhao, the Ice Emperor, and the Tianmeng Iceworm all froze in collective shock.

Even Electrolux's prediction had been correct—it really was a soul bone birthed by the world itself.

But that only stirred further wonder.

If such a bone was formed from the primordial power of heaven and earth, what kind of ability could it possibly bestow?

How unimaginable would its strength be?
