They arrived at Whiskey Peak to find Igaram, but something felt off the moment they stepped onto the island. The once-lively town was unusually quiet, and the people looked tense especially when their eyes fell on Dragon.
News of the "Father and Son Duo" had already spread across the world. Even pirates felt uneasy standing before them.
But the Straw Hats didn't care. They left the ship together, laughing and exploring the streets as if nothing was wrong.
The cheerful mood didn't last long. Luffy suddenly stopped mid-step, his body tensing. He could feel something, someone familiar, yet distant. Thanks to his Observation Haki, he managed to sense a presence nearby. It felt like family, but because it was his first time sensing this aura, he couldn't recognize who it belonged to.
"Huh?" Luffy tilted his head, scanning the crowd gathered near the docks. "Wait a second… this feeling…"
Before anyone could react, he leapt down from the Merry, landing with a heavy thud. His eyes darted through the crowd and then widened in disbelief.
A man with short blond hair and a top hat stood there, smiling faintly. Sunlight glinted off the goggles resting on his head.
"SABO!!!"
Luffy's voice broke as he shouted. In the next second, he bolted forward and crashed into the man, wrapping him in a fierce hug.
"Luffy…" Sabo voice trembled, the warmth of old memories flooding back. He hugged Luffy tightly, eyes glistening. "You've grown, little brother."
The entire Straw Hat crew froze in disbelief.
"Wait, Luffy has a brother?!" Usopp yelled, pointing dramatically.
"EHHHHH?! Dragon-san, is that your son?!" Nami and Nojiko shouted together.
Dragon eyes narrowed slightly, surprise flickering in them. He never expected Sabo to have any connection to Luffy.
Sanji looked without blinking. "So let me get this straight. Our captain dad is the most wanted man in the world, his brother is the number two of the Revolutionary Army, and his grandpa is the Marine Hero Garp? What kind of family is this?"
Luffy ignored the chaos around him, still clinging to Sabo, tears streaming down his cheeks. "I thought you were dead, Sabo! I thought you were gone forever!"
Sabo smiled softly. "I forgot everything… but I got my memories back recently. When I saw your picture in the newspaper, everything came rushing back, you, Ace, and all those days in Dawn Island."
Dragon, who had been watching silently from the Merry, finally stepped onto the shore. His gaze softened at the sight of the two brothers reunited.
"So… you remember now," Dragon said quietly, his tone calm but filled with warmth.
Sabo nodded, releasing Luffy and turning toward him. "Yes, Dragon. I remember everything."
A faint smile crossed Dragon's lips. "Good to see you having your memory back."
Zoro crossed his arms and let out a low whistle. "So just to confirm, Luffy's dad is the world's most wanted man, his brother's a Revolutionary commander, and his grandpa's a Marine Hero. Great. No pressure."
Meanwhile, a few Baroque Works agents hid behind the nearby buildings, whispering nervously.
"That's… Monkey D. Luffy and the Revolutionary Dragon," one stammered, sweat dripping down his neck.
"We're not going anywhere near them," another hissed. "You've seen their bounties, no amount of money scream that those bounty means they are weak and easy to fool!"
They slowly backed away, leaving the Straw Hats alone, unaware that their little reunion had just turned Whiskey Peak into the center of the world's attention.
.....
As Straw Hat Pirates, running from a celebration was never an option.
Laughter echoed across the docks, food piled high. Sanji cooking brought warmth and life to the gathering, while the newly arrived Revolutionaries blended in naturally. as if they'd been friends with the crew for years.
Amazingly, it had only been fifteen minutes since they met, yet a full-blown party was already underway.
But then, the joy shattered in an instant.
The sound of hurried footsteps and shouting rose from the edge of the docks.
"Stop her! She's getting away!"
Heads turned. From the shadows, a figure burst into view, a young girl with pink hair and fierce, determined eyes. She sprinted toward them with astonishing speed, pirates chasing after her and shouting her name.
She skidded to a stop right in front of Dragon and Luffy, panting hard. Her gaze darted across the crowd before locking onto Dragon.
"You!" she shouted, pointing at him. "You're Monkey D. Dragon, right? The man who knows Bartholomew Kuma!"
Dragon expression shifted, his eyes narrowing slightly. "…And you are?"
"I'm Jewelry Bonney," she declared, straightening her posture despite her heavy breathing. "Kuma daughter. I came here to find him."
The deck fell silent. Even Luffy froze mid-bite, his food forgotten.
Sabo blinked in shock. "Kuma's… daughter?"
Bonney's voice. "He left me behind on an island. I want to know why. Why he disappeared. Why he joined you. Why he became… like that."
Dragon studied her carefully. The desperation in her voice wasn't fake, it was raw and real.
He remembered how Kuma once came to him, seeking treatment for a rare illness. A quiet unease grew in Dragon chest.
Then, as he looked closer at Bonney, something clicked. Her eyes, her expression, they reminded him of someone from the past.
Ginny.
A shock rippled through him as the realization struck.
Could she be… Kuma and Ginny daughter?
.....
Just ten minutes earlier, Jack had received a transmission from Jarvis about Whiskey Peak.
"Life signature detected two hundred meters ahead. Power levels consistent with Bartholomew Kuma."
Jack's eyes sharpened. He had programmed Jarvis specifically to locate Kuma, the man who had once joined Revolutionary Army and now a cyborg weapon under the World Government's control.
He refused to let that story end in tragedy.
"Found you," Jack murmured, a faint smile tugging at his lips as he stared at the glowing map.
Then, with a flash of light and a gust of wind, he vanished, moving at lightning speed using Makkari ability.
Moments later, he reappeared on a rocky cliff overlooking the coastline.
There, standing silently was Bartholomew Kuma, he was massive and motionless.
Jack landed softly in front of him. "So… Bartholomew Kuma," he said quietly. "You have a daughter named Bonney."
That name alone was enough to stir the giant. Kuma, head lifted slightly, his expression unreadable but there was a flicker of emotion in his eyes.
"I'm not here to fight," Jack continued, taking a slow step forward. "I came to warn you."
Kuma deep voice rumbled like distant thunder. "What do you want?"
"Your daughter's here," Jack said simply. "Bonney came looking for you. I'm sure you already know that your Observation Haki most likely had sensed her by now."
Kuma gaze darkened. "Do you intend to use her or to let her go?"
Jack shook his head. "I don't want to harm her. But I will stop you from becoming another weapon for the World Government, because Nika has already returned."
Kuma stiffened. His voice dropped. "Nika? How do you know that name?"
Jack raised his hand, and a holographic image flickered to life Luffy, grinning in his Gear Fifth form. The air itself seemed to hum with the rhythm of drums, the Drums of Liberation.
When the image vanished, Jack met Kuma's stunned gaze.
"You understand what that means," he said firmly. "If you let the World Government use you, their power will surpass by creating 100 of your clones. Eight hundred years ago, the first Nika the original Warrior of Liberation, failed to destroy them and with your addition this new nika would face more enemy than the war 800 years ago. I won't let that mistake happen. I'll find Vegapunk myself if I have to, but I won't allow them to build another weapon like you."
