"I did something you might not like," Luciano said.
"What did you do, Luce?"
He looked at him, as he rose to his feet. Giovanni returned his gaze with curious ones.
Luciano gave a curt nod and walked to the table.
He had to tread carefully, so his feet did not graze the broken pieces on the ground.
At the table, he grabbed the document, and returned before Giovanni.
"This one is for you." He dropped it in his hand, and walked back to his seat.
Giovanni's racing heart was joined by his flipping stomach.
There were endless possibilities circling in his head.
But a particular one had its claws deeper in his brain, forcing him to recognise and acknowledge its presence.
"What is this?" he looked away from the document to look at Luciano.
"Valentina made a deal with me through Vittorio."
"What deal?" he asked when he didn't continue speaking.
"In exchange for information about that night, I would ensure you do a DNA test."
