"Your skin is so soft," he whispered, stroking the bare flesh of her thighs.
She sighed, feeling his light touch deep in her soul.
"I'm scared," she confessed after a few seconds.
"Of what?"
"Love," she replied.
"What's there to be scared of?"
She turned her head resting on the chair to the side so she could look at him.
"It never ends well. You and me, even worse."
"Is there a reason you say that?"
"Reasons you mean? Look at where we come from. How do we get past it? How did you get past that?"
He didn't reply for a couple of seconds, and Valentina thought she had lost him.
"I am a simple man, Bella. If I want it, I want it. If I'm dedicated to it, nothing else matters."
She chuckled lightly. "I know. You were very dedicated to Daniela. It blinded you to everything else. Isn't that troubling though?"
