"Why would I like to know about your pheromones?" Lin Qiushi said with confusion on his face and with little hesitation he continued "Why am I even here?"
Ruan Nanzhu got up from the bed and started walking towards Lin Qiushi slowly but this time Lin didn't try to walk off, instead stood there waiting for him to give the answer "What do you think? ..... why I brough you here?" Nanzhu said.
"I don't want to guess anything, if your not telling me, then I'm leaving right now." Said on Nanzhu's face without hesitation.
"Why are being so tough with me," Nanzhu was looking in Qiushi eyes "when you were with Baijie you didn't hesitate to hold her in your arms!" Nanzhu said while making pout.
Lin Qiushi was confused how did he knows about me carrying Baijie? Did he told him? What else she told him? All those questions were running in his head but decided to clarify things.
"Don't misunderstand us, her ankle was fractured and she couldn't walk by herself ....." Lin Qiushi was finishing his line but Nanzhu move forward, now Lin Qiushi was between the door and Nanzhu, leaning backward, he'll hit the door and about one palm distance with Nanzhu infront him standing, with sparkling eyes, wanting to say something trough his eyes.
"Continue, don't stop I'm listening." said teasingly, in his ears, almost Nanzhu's lips touched Qiushi's ears.
Lin Qiushi turned into boiled shrimp. He can smell the same smell coming from Nanzhu's neck, when he hold Baijie in his hands, to take her to the room. So they were together in last game? Lin Qiushi felt bad, bad somewhere in his heart but he tried to tell himself that there is nothing to be feel hurt, they are a couple it is common.
"Why are you not saying anything?" Nanzhu said.
"I want go back to my house I've to go to office tomorrow morning." Said Lin Qiushi. He was barley breathing, making sure his lips do not touch Nanzhu's lips.
"Office?"
"Yeah, I'm not any Boss of some organization, I'm an employee and I've to go to office" Lin Qiushi pushed Nanzhu back lightly and stood comfortably since he was standing straight and stiff for a while.
"Okay, you so you have to go to office tomorrow and for that you have to go back now, right?"
"Yeah, and if you excuse me now, I'll be leaving" with that, Lin Qiushi turned and hold the the door knob, but Nanzhu hold Qiushi's other hand pulled him closer, close enough that Qiushi whole body was adjusted in two arms of Nanzhu and he sniffed Qiushi's neck and said:
"The same wood smell, it's so ordinary and natural but why it's so addictive?"
Lin Qiushi turned into red tomato, and with his shaky voice and gulping half of the words he said "what do you mean? and what are you doing?"
Nanzhu leaned on Lin Qiushi's shoulder and said "What I mean? In my perspective Wood is natural and soothing that' very rare, atleast in cities isn't it? and as I said before you smell like wood and how can I not be addicted to it?" ..... " Every time you release your pheromones, its really hard for me to control myself and I wanted to mix my own pheromones "
Lin Qiushi was letting Nanzhu finish his lines while letting him lean on his shoulder, he felt the situation so familiar, and relating himself, when he was thinking about Baijie and wanted release his pheromones and mix them with her.
Nanzhu back to position stood normally like as if he said nothing, and the man infront of was looking like a boiled shrimp and he really don't want to eat him at all.
"Join my organization, be a part of Obsidian and I'll help you to pass the doors safely"
Is he mad? What was he doing a while ago? and what is he talking right now? is he possessed by someone? Lin was still looking like Shrimp but this time with angry but not with the sudden overwhelming feelings because of the jerk standing infront of him. "I don't want to join you" said with plain tone.
"See, you are talented and smart but your not enough experienced you need some guidance in the door world or else with that stupid lil brain of yours, you won't pass your next door safely" said Nanzhu with lil bit of concern look but the same bossy voice.
Lin Qiushi only heard his words 'stupid lil brain' he said I'm a stupid?, this word is just fueled the anger more. "Stupid huh? Stupid? Yeah I am a stupid, but not that much stupid to team up with a man who just called me a stupid" with that Lin Qiushi just turned back and slammed the door on his face and left from the room Within fraction of seconds.
Lin Qiushi went back to his room to take back hi scarf and he took that in his hand and about to leave but at the door there a tall person standing said "I don't mean like that, you are intelligent but lil bit dumb when it's about people" Nanzhu was completing his sentence and Lin Qiushi interrupted him "dumb?" with a long sigh he continued "what kind of stupid and dumb person could be a intelligent and talented?"
Lin Qiushi usually do not argue with people over trivial matters even when his colleagues say something about him like being aloof and about his introvert nature and only like to talk with his friend Wu Qi, he would say nothing, even when his manager spit some nonsenses bout he would just listen and say nothing and don't bother to take that to mind or heart, but somehow he reacted to Nanzhu's words, a person he just met a while ago he know nothing about him except being the boss of this organization and like to bossy around people.
"Sorry I don't mean like that...."
"Then what do you mean?" this time Qiushi was giving time to Nanzhu instead of leaving, expecting an answer or an explanation from him.
"I'm so sorry I really don't mean like that way, you always think about others when you have to think about yourself only."
"How can say that? you don't even know me in person, we just met a while ago and you want me to join your team and also you called me stupid" said with plain voice.
Nanzhu was moving forward to Lin Qiushi closer to him "Don't move! stay there and say what you want to say." Lin Qiushi said that and Nanzhu was like obedient puppy who was listening to his owner. "Please forgive me for saying that stupid and dumb to you, and reconsider about joining us I'll be waiting for you and your answer" said Nanzhu with calm voice.
"I'm not going to change my decision, my decision is final." Qiushi said with stiff voice.
"I want to go home now." said Qiushi.
"It's already late, stay here for tonight and go to your office tomorrow from here."
"No, I left my laptop in my room and I've an meeting tomorrow with client to present my work so it's important for me."
"No worries, it will be here by morning you just take rest."
"..... okay." Lin Qiushi didn't say much and laid on bed and saw Nanzhu was still at the door since they entered the room and now he agreed to stay here for tonight he is still there instead going back to his room. "You should go back to your room now and take rest, you need to take care of your wound too" Qiushi said while looking at Nanzhu.
"Have you forgiven me?"
"About that I'm sorry for over reacting but don't call some one stupid or dumb without knowing anything about them, this is bit rude." said with low voice.
"Who said I don't know you?" Nanzhu said calmly but Lin Qiushi can see the confidence in his eyes which are shouting like I know you very well.
"If I'm not mistaken we met today only, and I don't think so I would forget the faces that I saw before"
"We met three days ago, remember." Three days before means it was Sunday and as usual Qiushi stays in his room since he don't go to visit his family and not too many friends to go for outing on weekend and one friend Wu Qi he like to spend his weekend with his lover so, Lin Qiushi was totally alone with his his abandon Chestnut.
"Three days back? but I was in my room, and I'm sure I didn't met anyone that day."
"Yes! you were in the room but with me" Nanzhu said with a bright smile. As if he is proud to say that. And Lin Qiushi got up and sat on the bed he was in turmoil, trying to recall every single moment of him on that that day, but he was in his room the entire day and night he didn't go out for grocers. No matter who much he recall only Chestnut face coming infront of him, which he met the people on that day.
Nanzhu say that face and moved forward and sat on the bed and held Qiushi's hand and said "I want to sleep here tonight with you." Qiushi was already in great confusion and now he said he wants to sleep with him, which mad him shock and blush at a time. Shock because a man wants to sleep with other man when he have already a partner for him, and Blush because this is was the first time somebody asked him like this it kind romantic and Qiushi started blushing and avoiding Nanzhu's eyes.
"What are you talking? you should go back now, your partner must be waiting" Lin Qiushi said while looking down the bed sheets, still the hand in Nanzhu's hand.
"Partner? whose partner? you have a girlfriend?" Nanzhu asked him with shock and confusion. When Qiushi said 'your partner' he gulped the word 'your' so for Nanzhu he heard only 'partner must be waiting' it means Lin Qiushi have a lover?
"Me? no, your girlfriend must be waiting for you" Lin Qiushi said clear and sound this time.
"Me and girlfriend? when did I said I have a girlfriend?"
"No need to say that, anyone with brain could say, that you and Baijie are lovers." He said with very low voice but they were sitting facing each other and they are enough close with each other even if they mumble the other can understand.
"Baijie?" Nanzhu was confused for a moment but understood the situation very clearly, and he stared laughing, first the laughing sound was faint but later it was ringing in the room.
"Why are you laughing?" Qiushi asked, not able to understand why he suddenly started laughing.
Nanzhu controlled his laugh "Okay, okay sorry" and he continued "Did Baijie said She have a boyfriend?"
Lin Qiushi shook his head "No"
"Did I said that Me and Baijie are lovers?"
Lin Qiushi again shook his head.
Nanzhu held the other hand of Lin Qiushi now holding his both hands and said "Then how did you come to this conclusion that Baijie and me are lovers?"
"You both have good looks" Lin Qiushi said softly
"That's it?"
"You both look good together"
"Have you ever saw together?"
Lin Qiushi shook his head in no.
"Than?"
"You both share the same surname."
"So you are saying that because we both have 'Ruan' as surname so we are a couple? we could be siblings too right?"
"Siblings don't share the same pheromones, you and Baijie smells same."
Nanzhu got shocked for a moment and held Qiushi's chin and slowly raised, to match his eye level and said "So you smelled my pheromones?" Lin Qiushi said nothing and looking down.
"Please tell me how do I smell? I want to know" Nanzhu was asking with his pleaded eyes but still Lin Qiushi said nothing but looking down and trying to avoid the eye contact with Nanzhu.
"If you tell me how I smell I'll tell you what I'm to Baijie." Nanzhu said seriously but with low and calm tone, Lin Qiushi raised his head and saw Nanzhu, it was like he determined to know about his opinion on his pheromones, he though like maybe he also can't smell his pheromones and he also wants to know the relationship between him and Baijie.
"You smell like sweet, like a sweet cherry." Lin Qiushi said with very delicate voice like a sugar cube, if it is dropped in water it might melt, and Nanzhu was looking at Qiushi like the person who wants to gulp the sugar cube, in one gulp before it drops in the water and share the sweetness with water.
