Sophia didn't wake up until noon — and her phone had practically exploded with calls.
She frowned, picked it up, and the moment she answered, Paul's frantic voice rushed through the speaker:
"President Morgan, where are you? The entire company is waiting for you to start the meeting!"
Sophia's eyes snapped open.
Right. She had returned to Morgan Group.
She had taken over Morgan Group.
And she had personally announced a morning meeting.
It was already past noon. Everyone probably skipped lunch waiting for her.
"…Secretary Smith," she cleared her throat, voice hoarse, "have them go home for the day. The meeting is canceled."
It wasn't a life-or-death matter anyway. Canceling was fine.
She sat up, still dazed — and vowed that next time Lucas tempted her into staying in bed, she was absolutely going to slap him awake.

At the door, a tiny face peeked in.
"Mommy!"
"Faye."
"Mommy, Daddy told me to bring you this!"
