Sophia lay in bed, her eyes still vacant and unfocused.
"Sophia, instead of torturing yourself with guesses, why not go see Andrew again? As long as there's a crack somewhere, you'll spot it."
"My… my feelings are all over the place. I don't even know how to explain it to you. I can't wrap my head around how a cold, lifeless tombstone could suddenly become nothing more than decoration. The person I've been mourning for years… might've been deceiving me this whole time."
Sophia lowered her gaze.
"Don't overthink. Try to sleep."
Sophia closed her eyes. Lucas was right—if she wanted the truth, there were only two options: Either confront Andrew again… or meet the person who sent her that sachet.
But…
She didn't believe that person would ever show up.
As she shut her eyes, all she could see was Aurora lying weakly on a hospital bed, barely able to breathe, needing help just to eat.
