There was a time when this blessing had caused a lot of trouble to the Phoenix.
Before the establishment of the HI (Human Independence) universal calendar. Before the Phoenix clan was even called the Phoenix clan. The Phoenix had its servants, people, and members whom it had given this blessing. The more rebirths that happened at that time, the worse the members became.
The long life, fewer emotions had made them take their life and others' lives lightly. Their concept of humanity was swayed. Fights over small issues become common not because they would get agitated easily but because fighting would make them feel more than thier emotions would.
This went on until a huge fallout happened and a rebellion occurred because of differences in opinions, which led to the death of many of the Phoenix's servants.
That's when the Phoenix decided to ban the Rebirth blessing. Only giving it along with the other blessing, Soul Explosion. It was more so a curse than a blessing because whenever the Phoenix wanted, it could make the souls of the people with this blessing, Soul Exposion, explode.
The Clan Guadrians all had these blessings. They were all the most loyal subjects chosen over centuries. With the leader of the Clan Guardians being someone who had been a follower of the Phoenix since before the HI Calendar.
Noah was excited to meet them after so long. The minimum strength requirement to become a clan guardian was the grandmaster tier. Noah just hoped many of them had survived in the underworld. Not many had survived when going to the underworld and because they wanted to protect the rest of the clan members, all the clan guardians would never try to hide their auras. Which in turn made the empires send multiple expeditions after the Phoenix clan.
Staring at the portal forming infront of Noah, Noah thought back to when it was decided that the Clan Guardians should go to the underworld. There were a lot of disagreements back then, but the Clan Guardians all had the same opinion.
They didn't want the scattered Phoenix clan members to be targeted. They decided to become the target. They never suppressed their aura, making sure that even from the underworld, it could be sensed by the other empires. Making them believe all the Phoenix clan members moved there. They bet on the future of the clan, they believed it was better to scatter and regrow in power rather than constantly be in fighting.
To stop them from finding the clan members and the Xoliti clan. There was a reason Anara said the Xoliti clan was in the underworld, it was to add to the story.
They had chosen to go there because it required strong blessings to chase them in the underworld. The underworld was an unforgiving place for the weak and the strong. It was easier to move a strong group rather than having weaker members. It also had the possibility of many safe havens for the Clan Guadrians to rest. Now that the clan had regrown some of its former strength, it was time for them to come back from the underworld.
The underworld was said to be incomparable in size. Some said it was bigger than the surface of the world. The underworld had only a few entrances. This would all make it harder for the empires to track them in the underworld.
Noah just hoped that right now, many of them had been able to survive the attacks from the empires.
As the portal finally fully formed. The Xoliti clan members all started making barriers. To suppress the Clan Guardians aura. There were also people holding many pendants to further suppress the Phoenix clan members' aura.
Noah watched as the Clan Guardians stepped through the portal. At one glance, he could tell all of them were strong. It had taken Noah a few seconds to realise who the first man to walk through the portal was. It had been many decades since he had seen him. The man looked like he was in his forty's not true to his age.
Seven other people stepped through the portal behind the man. They all were supposed to be people always on the run, making enemies chase them, but their appearance didn't show that. All their outfits were clean, no mud or wrinkles that showed they were fighting in a dangerous place, such as the underworld.
Because of the Phoenix clan regeneration blessings, they didn't have any injuries or scars on them either.
The man in the front stared at Noah for a few seconds before a smile appeared on his face. Addressing the seven people with him,
"What did I tell you guys. I knew my son would come to greet his dad."
