Chapter Twenty-Five: Vegeta Is Furious!

"You little dwarf, surrender... you'll never defeat the great Gotenks!"
Somewhere on Earth stood the greatest evil ever known—Majin Buu himself.
Before him hovered a handsome boy with black hair streaked with silver along the sides of his smiling face. He stared at Majin Buu with disdain and arrogance, which made Buu want to beat him to death.
Both floated silently in the air, defying all laws of physics and gravity. Around Gotenks blazed a fiery golden aura, his hair shining bright gold, and occasional sparks of electricity crackled around him.
Majin Buu stood completely unharmed, having not fought yet. A powerful demonic aura surrounded him, colored somewhere between crimson red and pink.
"Majin Buu... you're already struggling, and I haven't even used Super Saiyan 3 yet..." Gotenks wanted to mention Super Saiyan 4 too, but held back.
Using Super Saiyan 3 or 4 would shorten the fusion time.
Since this was Goten and Trunks' first fusion, the duration was much shorter than it should be.
"I swear I'll kill you... I'll kill you all and eat you!" Majin Buu screamed, seemingly having lost his mind.
This made Gotenks think. Had Majin Buu absorbed only a bit of Broly's energy? It felt like he absorbed Broly entirely. He acted just like him, and Buu's power kept increasing during the fight.
Gotenks feared that if he didn't defeat Majin Buu now, he might become unstoppable.
"Alright, come at me, you pink dwarf!" Gotenks shouted and charged at Majin Buu.
As they collided, each punched the other, their fists clashing with force that shook the very void.
From afar, golden and pink beams flashed and collided with terrifying power—power that shook the void, made mountains tremble, oceans rage, and caused a massive earthquake across the planet.
"Kamehamehaaa!" Gotenks yelled, appearing behind Majin Buu and unleashing a massive sky-blue energy wave. It struck Buu directly, leaving him no chance to defend.
The intense energy blast hurled Buu into the sky, followed by a massive explosion that shook the world. From the thick smoke, Majin Buu's sinister laughter echoed.
"This is bad... Majin Buu is getting stronger!" Goku narrowed his eyes.
"Tch... why haven't they used Super Saiyan 3 yet!" Vegeta said, annoyed.
"Hmm... maybe because only Trunks has Super Saiyan 3, unlike Goten," Piccolo said, glancing at Gohan beside him.
When Gotenks appeared and began fighting Majin Buu, Goku used Instant Transmission to retrieve unconscious Gohan and gave him one of the two Senzu beans he had.
Gohan regained his strength and consciousness, and of course, got scolded by Piccolo for being careless and arrogant during the fight.
"You heard that, Kakarot... your son Goten is dragging my son Trunks down!" Vegeta mocked with a smirk, making Goku frown.
Goten and Gohan were close to mastering Super Saiyan 3—they had enough power but hadn't figured out how to reach it yet.
"Actually... Gotenks not transforming into Super Saiyan 3 isn't because of Goten," Gohan suddenly said.
"What do you mean?" Piccolo asked, while Vegeta and Goku focused on Gohan.
"This is the first time Goten and Trunks have fused... although the original transformation duration is thirty minutes, the first time they don't get the full time."
Everyone understood after hearing Gohan. It was bad news—without Gotenks, Earth couldn't be protected from Majin Buu!
"You're saying Gotenks can't use his full power to stay fused longer?!" Goku finally grasped the situation.
Gohan remained silent. Everyone watched Gotenks and Majin Buu's battle, hoping Gotenks could defeat Buu before time ran out.
"Damn you... why won't you just die?" Hearing Majin Buu's laughter and seeing him unaffected by any attack, Gotenks grew frustrated.
Even though he hadn't used his full power, that was a Kamehameha in Super Saiyan 2. If Buu kept regenerating without damage and growing stronger during battle, Gotenks might not be able to defeat him.
Gotenks sighed and thought, I'll leave it to Trunks...
"Majin Buu... prepare for my final and strongest attack!" Gotenks declared, taking a stance.
"This... Final Flash!" Vegeta instantly recognized Gotenks was about to use his strongest move.
"Haaaaaa!" Super Saiyan 2 energy surged stronger and fiercer. Gotenks' power soared skyward, spreading everywhere, forming a fiery golden energy column with occasional sparks.
"Super Saiyan 3!" Gohan swallowed hard, excited to reach that level.
"Hmm... he can't reach full Super Saiyan 3 power," Goku frowned.
"Yeah... he doesn't have enough energy!" Vegeta agreed.
Gotenks was incredible, but due to Goten and Trunks' lack of fusion experience, he was limited by time and energy.
"Super Saiyaaaan 3!" Gotenks screamed, and in an instant, his hair grew longer and sharper, and his eyebrows vanished.
Still in Final Flash stance, he began charging all his energy into one attack.
"Goodbye... Majin Buu!" Gotenks smiled, but frowned when he saw Buu launching a massive pink energy beam.
"Does his energy never run out or what?!" Gotenks mocked and fired the Final Flash.
"Final Flash!"
BOOOOOM!
The beams collided, causing a massive explosion, and a crimson energy wave engulfed the entire Earth.
Time froze for a moment. When everything returned to normal, neither Gotenks nor Majin Buu could be seen.
"No way...!" Vegeta, Goku, and the others widened their eyes.
"Goten... Trunks." Gohan trembled violently.
If they had fought Majin Buu with full strength and without arrogance, if they had cooperated with everyone, maybe they could've defeated him.
"Trunks..." Vegeta fell silent, feeling something inside him fade, while new emotions stirred in the Saiyan Prince's heart for the first time.
In a moment no one noticed, a single tear escaped Vegeta's eye.
He wiped it instantly, and his eyes burned with fury and resolve to fight.
But amid the chaos, they heard a sound...
