Chapter 3 - Rude, Arrogant and Mysterious

I halted and turned back but he wasn't there anymore.

I could feel people gaze on me.

" She wasn't even ashamed to come over to the party and yet she's causing another drama." One girl said to the other.

I held my hand bag tightly and hurried out of the party.

I pushed past the entrance door and stormed out of the party hall.

My heels clicked the floor softly as I walked to the girls dorm.

My hand hovered the door knob of my room when I heard a faint voice coming from a corner near our room.

My heart skipped a beat and I stopped at my track.

"She's not who you think she is, she's someone you'd never want to associate with." A feminine voice cut through my ears.

I took a deep breath and proceeded to check who it was when I collided with something I couldn't figure out.

I staggered back, my heels hitting the floor too hard.

I held the door knob immediately for balance.

I blinked my eye lashes rapidly as it landed on the least person I was expecting. Ivy.

"What are you doing here, Ivy?" I asked, screwing up my face.

She paused. Her eyes met with mine and I saw only one thing. Shock.

She quickly dipped her phone into her bag and adjusted her dress like she was scared of me.

Maybe she wasn't just expecting anyone in the dorm by this time when the party was just starting.

Her brows drew together. "Did you...I mean..what are you doing here?" She stammered.

"I just came over and you?" I asked.

"I..came over to..to..I.. I will see you later. I need to get back to the party, you can go ahead and relax. I'll join you soon." She muttered and hurried away.

I swallowed. Something felt off; it sounded like she was hiding something.

Her words replayed in my head. "She's not who you think she is, she's someone you'd never want to associate with."

Who was she? Who was she talking about?

I forced it off my mind, perhaps it was just family or personal stuff.

I shut the door behind me as I entered the room.

Flung my handbag on the bed and walked to the bathroom.

I needed to freshen up.

My body softened as I laid in the bath tub. My mind replaying James' drama.

How he came at the right time and saved me from that ass hole.

If he hadn't really found his way to the toilet I can't imagine what would have happened.

But then how on earth did he get to know my name.

I knew he was rude, arrogant and a flirt but not also mysterious.

I stood up from the tub after what seemed like hours, dried myself up and wore my pajamas.

My hand trembled on the mirror and my mind replayed the early morning drama.

Humiliation flushed through me again.

I was the campus president's girlfriend, the beautiful lady everyone wanted.

But now I don't want to say I was the laughing stock.

For a reason known to me I'd let it slide but posting it on the students platform is the worst decision they did make.

My fingers tightened as I walked towards my bed.

If there's one thing I'd come to realise is not to trust any damn person.

I sank into the bed and shut tight my eyes.

Too much drama for a day.

The alarm clock rang in my ears as I shifted my position on the bed.

I exhaled and stretched out my hand to put it off.

Sleep was the last thing on my mind but I guess my body needed it.

I took a deep breath. My head replaying yesterday's drama.

I sat down on the bed and laid back on it almost immediately.

My back throbbed and my head ache worsened.

I wasn't going to lecture today. I was avoiding two things. Whispers and pain.

I shut my eyes and the body pain I hadn't realized penetrated through me.

"Clara, Clara. " I heard a faint call of my name.

My eyes quivered open as it landed on Emile and Ivy.

They were both fully dressed up for the lecture.

"Good morning." I mouthed.

"Aren't you going for a lecture?" Ivy asked.

"Yes I am not, I have a troubling head ache and body pain." I replied, closing one of my eyes.

"Do you still want to rest?" Emile said.

"Of course." I replied, shifting my position on the bed.

"Alright fine see you later." Ivy mouthed.

I kept on staring at the blue wall paint after they'd left.

I sniffed. Samantha and Ethan caused this.

And if I was to get revenge on them like I'd planned to.

I had to map out a plan before it gets freaking late.

But then, James' last night drama kept replaying.

The way he dealt so much with that drunk guy because of me.

I blinked and took my hand bag next to me, trying to get him off my head when I remembered my biology journal was with Ethan.

I'd read in his room some days before the video leaked.

If I wanted to enter into Lecturer Robertson class I needed to go with my textbook.

I fastened my pajamas, wore my foot wear and walked into the bath room.

I sat at the mirror chair creaming my face when the door suddenly flung open.

Emile and Ivy walked in chatting loudly.

My brows drew together. "Are you done with the lecture so quickly?" I asked.

"The lecture was cancelled. " Ivy said.

"Why?" I mouthed.

"I've no idea." Emile replied.

I stood up from the chair and walked over to my bed.

"Where are you off to?" Ivy asked.

" Library." I replied, I didn't want to tell them I was going to Ethan's room or they'd start to think of it as something else.

"Okay, I will join you soon." Ivy said.

"Sure." I nodded slightly.

I took hold of my hand bag, ready to get out of the room when my phone beeped.

My brows drew together as my gaze fell on my phone. It was my mom.

"Come home tomorrow, we have something important to talk about."

My stomach tightened. Mom never said that until something was wrong.
