The moment that single word left my mouth, the orb began to tremble, its engraved runes illuminating one after another as golden light spread across its surface.
The temperature inside the church continued dropping, and a strange vibration filled the surrounding space, causing the mana lamps hanging from the ceiling to flicker.
Aeden crossed his arms, his expression carrying the same irritating arrogance he'd been displaying since his arrival.
"Is that supposed to impress us? A few glowing runes and a little disturbance in the surrounding mana?"
I ignored him, although I was beginning to wonder whether this guy had some kind of mental illness. Every time he opened his mouth, it was to say something stupid, and the worst part was that he genuinely seemed to believe he was the smartest person in the room.
