So they finally made their move. And here I thought what happened yesterday wasn't impressive enough to get their attention.
Before I could ask anything else, the restaurant's entrance opened, revealing six armored guards wearing silver breastplates decorated with the insignia of a majestic lion.
Behind them walked an elderly gentleman dressed in an elegant black suit, his posture straight and his expression composed. Although he kept his aura carefully restrained, I could tell from a single glance that he was a fairly powerful Overlord.
The man approached my table and bowed respectfully.
"Sir Ace Mercer? My name is Valen, and I serve as the chief steward of House Lionheart. I've been instructed to deliver a personal invitation from the Lord and Lady of our household."
He reached into his coat and pulled out an envelope sealed with golden wax, the Lionheart family's crest stamped prominently across its surface.
