Chapter 96 - Chapter 96: Level Up—The Seven Flames Ignite

Finn stared at the status slip in his hand, his surprise almost impossible to hide.

"I didn't expect my parameters to have grown this much."

Strength: 197 → G287 | Endurance: H102 → F324 | Dexterity: G245 → E467 | Agility: G178 → E411 | Magic: H165

"Right? Same here."

Gareth looked down at his own status slip with clear delight.

"This round's results are outstanding, but that training space didn't spare us any pressure."

Strength: G227 → E467 | Endurance: G278 → D512 | Dexterity: 134 → G226 | Agility: 123 → G211 | Magic: 156

Gareth glanced at Finn's figures.

They each had different specialties, but the gains this time were… surprisingly well-rounded.

That meant the training space's oppressive conditions fit almost every specialty without bias. Just that alone was excellent.

"Yeah, the pressure was real."

"That place is fine-tuned to be as harsh as possible, aimed straight at our bodies' weak points to load us to the limit."

"Spend a few dozen minutes in there—do nothing at all—and it still beats running around the Dungeon outside."

"But the effect is undeniably good."

Finn fully acknowledged the space's value. Judging by how much their parameters had climbed, the results were staggering.

Of course, such an extreme environment wasn't something ordinary adventurers could handle easily.

"Rolling it out across the familia won't be easy."

"Not at all. Holding out for even half a day in that place isn't something just anyone can do."

Gareth shared Finn's concern. The training space worked wonders, but staying in that extreme environment for half a day demanded tremendous willpower.

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Tsuna getting his status updated.

"He actually stuck it out."

Half a day felt endless in that space. Gareth had barely endured it himself, and yet Sawada Tsunayoshi—the one with the worst physical stats—held on to the very end.

But Gareth also noticed Tsuna was on the verge of collapse.

"He forced himself through."

"His hunger for strength is stronger than we thought," Finn murmured. For a newcomer who'd only just become an adventurer to withstand that kind of pressure until the end was nothing short of a miracle. From Finn's vantage point, he knew exactly how hard that was, and he respected it.

With his back to Loki, Sawada Tsunayoshi's vision had gone gray-black.

Exhausted to the core, dehydrated, he'd barely made it to the half-day mark. That was his limit.

I pushed too hard this time.

Tsuna reflected on his recklessness. He'd been training all along—scaling mountains wasn't even that hard for him anymore—but under intense gravity and extreme conditions, the strain was far too great.

I wonder what the results will look like this time.

If he was going to be reckless for once, he wanted to see the payoff.

Strength: E498 → SSS1101 | Endurance: D505 → SSS1101 | Dexterity: D598 → SSS1101 | Agility: C603 → SSS1101 | Magic: SSS2001

"All of them?"

Even Loki hadn't expected that. She knew Tiona and Tione had already surpassed their limits, and she'd known Tsuna had that kind of potential—but all of them breaking their cap, with one going beyond even the 'limit of limits'… that was too deliciously shocking.

Slowly, Loki's astonishment curled into a grin.

"Yaaah~ You didn't let me down at all~"

Four basic parameters had blown past their limits, and one of them had vaulted beyond the extreme itself.

That potential was simply irresistible.

Sawada Tsunayoshi had enough "great deeds" already; what he lacked were the raw parameters. Now that those were in place, it was time for "promotion."

"Tsuna, you can level up now. Do you want to?"

"Yes."

At Loki's question, Tsuna perked up at once and answered without hesitation.

"Alright, gimme a sec."

Loki wasn't surprised by his answer. She immediately began rewriting the Falna on his back, sliding the level digit down. All basic attributes returned to the initial 10.

At the same time, a new option appeared with the level-up: Developmental Ability.

Unlike the basic parameters, Developmental Abilities define expertise and specialization.

Choosing one is choosing a future path.

Their appearance depends purely on experience—on one's personal journey—so most adventurers see a lot of options when they promote.

"Dying Will Flames."

Loki eyed the lone option without overthinking it.

If there had been extras, she might have fussed; with only one, the choice was obvious.

The instant Loki inscribed that blessing, the Falna's crest changed.

The clown sigil became seven different flames coiling around a shell—

and this time, the blaze wasn't just orange-yellow but seven distinct colors and forms, all igniting together.

The shell at the center opened, revealing a pearl within—still devoid of any color.

Is this the meaning of metamorphosis?

Before Loki could ponder it further, the strange sigil shifted back to her clown emblem.

"Tch. Turn back just for the level-up, huh? Then hide behind my mark afterward. How sneaky."

Grumbling aside, Loki's interest in Tsuna's secrets only grew. She glanced over the Falna again.

Sure enough, subtle changes had taken root.

What had been "???" under Magic finally showed its true face.

"Dying Will Flames": Sky, Storm, Rain, Cloud, Mist, Lightning, Sun

"What an odd magic. No wonder his Developmental Ability is what it is—this is clearly the key to unlocking that magic."

"Tsuna must be deeply connected to it. I'll have to ask later."

Once she finished setting the Falna and locked the crest, Loki began the status imprint.

As before, she only printed the parameter section; everything else would be discussed in private.
