Chapter 46 - Chapter C-XXII : The Battle of Verlvitamax.

15th August – 9th October, Space Era Years 103.

Two months after the fiery confrontation on The Galactic Times, the inevitable had come The fragile peace between the Centory Kingdom Reich and the Earth Republic shattered like glass beneath the weight of pride and vengeance. The border stars that once shimmered as gateways of commerce now burned as the crucibles of war—the greatest war in the history of mankind's interstellar civilization.

Part I — The Defense of Berlyn

The Centorian High Command self defense force, or HSDK (Hauptquartier der Selbstverteidigungskräfte), mobilized under the direct command of Lord Aelyzabeth Thors herself. The capital city of Berlyn became the heart of the empire's war machine, its skies filled with fleets and its cathedrals turned to bastions of strategy.

At the center of the command nexus pulsed the sentient intelligence Helios–Sigma,a vast quantum mind calculating trajectories, enemy formations, and the ever-shifting chaos of war.

Yet Aelyzabeth refused the safety of the rear lines.

"A general who hides behind the front," she declared, "is unworthy of being called one."

Meanwhile, Major Aerys Vilozyver, heir to the Centory throne, was recalled from Evening Command to lead the Eastern Fleet in person—a baptism of fire for the empire's young lion.

Part II — The Great Galactic War

War erupted with the fury of a thousand suns. The United Earth Republic unleashed an army of over six million soldiers, five hundred warships, and legions of cybernetic troopers—an armada forged from arrogance and industry.

Centory stood defiant with 2.4 million soldiers and 130 ships—but with discipline, faith, and machines of divine precision.

On 18thAugust , Earth launched 130 nuclear missiles toward Centory's system. Not one reached its mark. The SGD (Stellar Guard Dome), the pride of Centorian military science, intercepted every warhead with celestial brilliance.

The explosions painted the void in radiant violet—a silent aurora of destruction visible even from the surface of the homeworld. The sky itself seemed to scream, and history remembered that color as "the hue of defiance."

Chapter III — The Battle of Verlvitamax

The core of the campaign unfolded on Verlvitamax, a titanium-rich world within the Virax System, a mere three light-hours from the Centorian capital.

From 30th August, the Earth fleets began to encircle the planet, believing Centory's forces were in retreat. But the "retreat" was a symphony of deception—ghost signals, radar illusions, and false distress callswoven by the empire's cyber–strategists.

On 3rd September , the Earth armada descended in full force—only to find the void itself turning against them.

From the darkness emerged the 7th Fleet of General Thomas Demorlen, unleashing electromagnetic storms that silenced every enemy system within minutes.

Then came the roar of the Eidolon Beam Cannons—white lances of annihilation tearing through metal and flesh alike. In four days, 40% of Earth's fleet was reduced to ashes.

Part IV — The Triumph of the Heir

Through the storm of plasma and shattered hulls, Major Aerys Vilozyver led a spearhead assault deep into enemy lines. His fleet, though small, struck like a thunderbolt from divine wrath.

He boarded the Earth command vessel himself, leading the elite strike unit Eisenritter—the Iron Knights—and captured General Karl Andrewsen, Supreme Commander of the Earth Forces, on 9th October, S.E. 103.

Though victory was theirs, the war raged on, devouring the stars themselves in its endless hunger.

Part V — The Voice of the Pontiff

On 14th November, a message came from the Vatican of Earth. His Holiness Pius XV spoke not as a ruler of faith, but as a shepherd to a dying species:

"This war shall crown no victor—only survivors."

Though Aelyzabeth followed no god, she respected faith, for many of her own people prayed beneath the same heavens.

She answered:

"We shall end this war, not out of fear, but for what must yet be built. Let this ceasefire honor the courage of a Pontiff who dares to speak for peace."

Part VI — The Treaty of Evening

Peace talks convened in the Evening Federation, the last neutral ground in the known galaxy.

Representing Centory: Manfred von Heisentroff, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Witnesses: Lord Aelyzabeth Thors and President Rudolf von Escheinsen.

Representing Earth: Dr. Joe Richardson, Foreign Minister. Witnesses: President Peter Elinson and Pope Pius XV.

On 21st November, S.E.103,the Treaty of Evening was signed beneath the light of ten suns, and the galaxy held its breath.

But both sides knew the truth—This was no peace. It was merely the breath before the next storm.

Thus ended the First Phase of the Earth–Centory War. And the stars themselves whispered her name—Aelyzabeth von Thors, Sovereign of the Iron Galaxy.

Thus ends Chapter C-XXII.
