Baizhi, stared at her blankly, then said, " I was not able to sleep, that's why thought some strolling may help."
Anning narrowed her eyes, not believing her but didn't ask further. One day, she'll know about it anyhow, no rush.
Now that the questionnaire was completed, the air again became awkward.
Ugh..... what's going on.
They both were silent for a while. Then, both at the same time-
" About, befor-- "
Again silence...
Then finally, Anning said, " I told you before too, that was a misunderstanding. "
After some thought she hesitated but still continued, " Zizhi, you won't believe- but she was even eavesdropping us. I caught her red handed. "
Baizhi raised her eyebrows. " Really, how you confronted her? Why is she doing something like this ? She is our friend but still- "
Anning also thought the same thing- why is she doing this.
She was not so nice before, but still she was decent and never raised her voice at--
Anning abruptly added a break point.
Wait, I am not upset because of that. Why would I think like this? No , no. She is conspiring something.
Anning was dazed for a while, shocked by her own thinking, and came to the world when Baizhi placed a hand on her back of the hand, in her lap.
Boom.
These firecrackers....
Anning withdrew her hand immediately, making Baizhi raise her eyebrows and turning her face away.
Anning could see the tomato red colour of her ears only -
Oh no, what I did.
Baizhi was embarrassed, thinking why she did that, but suddenly her hand was again grabbed quickly by a specific red someone.
She looked back and widened her eyes, the deep blush of her cheeks now spreading till her neck.
Anning, " I- I am s- sorry. I didn't mean to do t- that. "
Baizhi lowered her eyes, smiling instinctively. And Anning stared at her beautiful countenance.
Baizhi's hairs were dark, but not pitch black like her, now falling at the sides of her face.
She didn't noticed before, but Baizhi has her hair fallen down completely.
Eyes lowered like a shy bride -
What-
Anning choked at her own thinking, then regained her control.
This peaceful moment could have lasted for the entire night, if not for someone's shouting from outside.
" Baizhi, are you done yet ? We came to pick you up. " Kritika shouted from outside.
Meanwhile, Raya was trying her best to prevent her from entering directly. After an annoying moment, when Kritika was not showing any signs of stopping, she simply picked her up by the collar.
That's when the tent door flapped and Anning emerged, glaring at them. Behind her, Baizhi peeked and playfully slapped her back of the head telling- " What are you doing, blocking the exit for ? "
Raya also put Kritika down, and as soon as she landed, she sprinted toward Baizhi and held her both arms, asking worriedly like Baizhi just emerged from a tiger's den, " Did something happen ? You should've called us. Everything's all right, right ? You can tell u-"
Baizhi interrupted her long winded imaginations, and said, " I'm alright. Why would you think that ? "
On the other hand, Anning was glaring at those hands which were grabbing Baizhi's arms, and Raya was slapping her forehead for this overacting.
At last, Raya goes and grabs Kritika's hands to make her let Baizhi's go. Baizhi looks behind at Anning and sighs, helpless. She reaches for a stray hair on Anning's temples and secures it behind her ears.
Kritika, "...."
Raya,"...." We are also here.
Anning, "!..." Her ears turning pink, and obviously this doesn't goes unseen by Baizhi.
Baizhi chuckles and bids her farewell. She goes with Raya and Kritika to her own tent, after all the Sun was going to be up soon. On the way, she again smiles to herself and thinks about the reaction just now she got.
Cute.
On the way, Raya finally concluded that- Seems like the tiger is someone else.
Unbeknownst to them, someone was already seeing them retreat into their tents.
It was already 3:00 AM, now. After some hours, dawn will be soon there, but unexpectedly before the sound of the rooster, a feminine scream woke everyone. It was from one of the students' tents'.
The teachers were first to come out of their tents, and some students woke up groggily, still in their pyjamas.
