We sneaked deeper into the railyard, trying to get to the center where the new train should be revealed.
Passing trains and railroad tracks as well as people all around.
In the distance, clapping noises are heard with crowd of footsteps and talking.
"This looks like a good view." Tomas said.
He was under one of the trains.
"When did you get down there?" I asked.
I crouched down to see him laying on his stomach as he looked at something.
"There's a lot of people here." Tomas said.
He pointed his finger.
"That must be the train." He said.
Gideon laid down and got himself next to Tomas.
"That big thing that is covered?" Gideon asked.
Me and Wesley followed, laying right next to each other.
"This better be worth it." Wesley said.
Gideon pulled his pocket watch to see that it was a minute away from the reveal.
"Imagine how complex it is, the gears and components and how it efficiently uses it fu-"
"SSSHHHH!!!" I immediately cut off Gideon.
"I think it's about to happen." I said.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
A man with a suit and a top hat using a cane revealed himself to the crowd of people.
"Welcome everybody to the introduction of the Nathlander S6! The newest state of the art locomotive train!" He yelled.
The cover falls down to show an Iron beast.
"Oh my god, this is better than I thought." Gideon covered his mouth and let a single tear drop.
"It has a 4-4-0 layout which gives it an excellent balance at very high speed. And the steel boiler looks so clean with a symmetrical body and a tall chimney."
Really? Looks like a chunk of metal to me but that's just literally every train in existence.
"Not just that but to add to that it ha-"
I immediately put my finger over his mouth to shut him up.
"Ah ah ah, I don't wanna hear another one of those engineering stuff, it's making my brain hurt." I said.
"Lokführer! How about you make that steel bear roar!" The guy with the top hat said.
A person on the deck gave a thumbs up before doing something in the back until.
A loud whistle, shrill and commanding roared out from the train.
It echoed through the entire yard.
With a Chuff-Chuff!
is heard, releasing black smoke from the chimney.
"My lord that was loud!" Wesley said covering his ear.
"It sure is a beast!" Tomas said.
Gideon in the other hand was trembling, hands over his mouth as it shakes.
His eyes are filled with sparkles and a tear.
Whilst me? I think I went deaf.
Everyone in front of the train clapped their hands.
"Thank you! Thank you everyone!"
"You know how long will this la-" Wesley was suddenly pulled back.
I felt my ankle was grabbed and pulled by force and then dragged out.
"Well what are you kids doing here?" Two men with blue and black uniforms dragged the four of us.
"Uh, nothing! we were just passing by." Tomas said.
"Oh really? How so." The man said.
This is trouble, we need to escape before anything gets worse.
Wesley was grabbed by the shirt by one of the man, pulling him to his face.
"Now you've got to answer me and you better not lie." The man said.
The other guy looked at me and extended his hands towards me.
I clenched my hands waiting the inevitable until I felt the dirt in my palm.
I immediately realized and sprung to action.
I picked up as many dirt as possible and threw it at his eyes.
The rocks bit and pieces entered his eyes and the dust covered his face and chocked on it.
He pulled back and coughed from the sudden attack.
The man holding Wesley looked and realized what I have done.
Gideon lunged at the man holding Wesley at the leg and BIT it like a dog.
The man screamed as Gideon growled.
He tried shaking Gideon off.
Wesley reacting quickly kicked his feet at the mans abdomen.
And Tomas followed with another kick at his knee, bending it.
The man fell down and let go off Wesley as he screamed.
The guy I blinded earlier recovered his vision and saw what happened.
"Oh you cheeky little bastards!" He yelled.
Suddenly Wesley dashed towards him and blow a knee to his face.
He fell down to his head.
Phwew!
A loud long whistle comes from the guy The three of them beat up.
"Oh Sh-We've got to move now!" Tomas yelled out and started running and we followed pursuit.
I could hear other peoples footsteps as they come closer to our location but the trains are blocking their view of us.
Hopping, crawling and getting over many obstacles our way until we reached our doom.
The fence.
Me, Wesley and Tomas get over with ease but Gideon? Him climbing over the fence was longer than an average persons lifespan.
Tomas laid his back against the wall and pulled out his hands under, telling us to put our feet and lift us up.
I followed and he lifted my feet up and I got to the top and over.
Wesley followed but rather than getting over, he stayed on top of it.
"Come on Gideon! We'll support you." Wesley yelled.
He lifted his leg and put down his feet on Tomas's hand and then he lifted his leg up.
Gideon extended his hands to Wesley and he was able to grab it.
Wesley pulled him up the fence and over.
I then spread my arms to grab him and get him down.
Gideon jumped out but I was able to grab him in time and put him down.
"Look!" Wesley yelled, pointing his fingers at the group of people approaching.
"Oh shit!" Tomas said.
He jumped up and grabbed Wesley's hand and both of them pulled themself up before finally getting to the other side.
"You kids need to stop right now!"
"Blegh!"
Wesley gave a middle finger to the man while pulling his bottom eyelid using the middle finger and sticking out his tongue.
Tomas snatched his arm and dragged him to run.
And Me and Gideon followed.
