Kairen withdrew the Tailed Beast Ball from his hand and set Onoki down. A faint smile appeared at the corner of his mouth—he had been waiting for Kurotsuchi to jump out and deliver herself.
Kairen had known Kurotsuchi for less than a day. If he wanted to gallop freely and probe her depths in such a short time, he had to keep this girl firmly under control at all times, letting him do as he pleased.
Kairen spoke first: "Why? Give me a reason not to kill him."
Kurotsuchi paused, her delicate face showing traces of thought.
Kairen pointed at Onoki and criticized, "This old man is stubborn and refuses both soft and hard approaches. Keeping him alive will only bring disaster. It would be better to bury him early and let him rest in peace."
"That way it's good for him, good for me, and good for everyone."
"No!"
Kurotsuchi grabbed Kairen's sleeve. The heroic aura on her face was replaced by awkwardness.
Since childhood, Kurotsuchi had never begged anyone. This was the first time she had pleaded with a man—and this man's gaze always seemed intent on stripping her naked.
"He's my grandfather. If you kill him, you'll be my lifelong enemy."
Kairen chuckled lightly. "So what?"
Kurotsuchi tightened her grip on his sleeve and gritted her teeth.
"Then what do you want?"
She could see it clearly now—Kairen wanted to use Onoki to threaten her into satisfying some hentai demands.
"You become my consort, and the entire Land of Earth will be your dowry. Wouldn't that be good for you, good for me, and good for everyone?"
Though Kairen appeared refined and elegant, he harbored the heart of a beast.
Onoki's face turned green. "Moku Kairen, I damn your mother! Keep dreaming for the rest of your life! Even if I die, I will never become a tool for you to threaten Kurotsuchi!"
Onoki suddenly pulled out a kunai from his waist, preparing to commit seppuku.
Kairen reacted swiftly, reaching out and grabbing the hand holding the kunai, preventing his suicide.
"Old man, don't die. If you die, who will witness my wedding with Kurotsuchi?"
"…Damn it!"
Kurotsuchi was nearly scared out of her wits.
"Grandpa, don't scare me like that. If you die, I won't have a grandfather anymore."
Onoki struggled desperately to break free from Kairen's grip, but he remained firmly restrained.
Hearing Kurotsuchi's words, Onoki spoke sincerely, "Kurotsuchi, this brat is a beast."
"You must never agree to him. Otherwise, you'll spend your whole life trapped in jealousy and rivalry."
Kurotsuchi sighed. Determination appeared on her face as her delicate eyes looked at Kairen.
"You win. From now on, you're my man. I'll follow you for the rest of my life."
Kurotsuchi had a stubborn personality. Once she decided something, she would never easily change it.
Just like now—having hastily decided her lifelong fate, she would never regret it.
"Kurotsuchi—" Onoki shouted, trying to stop the marriage.
"Hahaha…"
Kairen laughed loudly. Several pieces of wood extended from his hand, binding Onoki and sealing his mouth, tossing him aside like air.
Kairen pulled Kurotsuchi into his arms and smiled gently.
"There we go. We're now happily united in marriage."
"I found a good woman, you found a good man, and the Land of Earth found a good son-in-law."
"Wonderful! Wonderful!"
Kurotsuchi turned her head away, refusing to look at Kairen's hateful face.
"Mmmph—mmph—"
Onoki struggled in muffled protest.
Kairen was happy—but his village was gone, his country destroyed, and his granddaughter had followed a scumbag.
To suffer such a calamity in his later years—his luck had truly been eaten by dogs.
Kairen looked at Iwagakure in great satisfaction and waved his hand grandly.
"Men, camp here tonight. Meat and wine for all—no one leaves sober!"
"Ura—"
...
Land of Lightning.
The terrain rose steeply, stone peaks standing tall, thunderclouds faintly visible.
The Fourth Raikage led Kumogakure's elite ninja in surrounding the Two-Tails Matatabi. Unexpectedly, several ninja wearing red cloud cloaks and bearing hostile expressions appeared midway.
The Fourth Raikage instantly recognized them as members of the Akatsuki and immediately charged forward with the entire village's forces.
Sasuke had just awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan and was at the peak of confidence, full of pride and momentum.
He volunteered to fight alone, intending to let Kumogakure's group of black brutes witness the power of the Uchiha.
At first, Sasuke's flashy maneuvers were endless, his movement elegant and untouchable. None of Kumogakure's elites could even approach him.
Black flames burned in his eyes, taking down more than ten Kumogakure jonin.
With Susanoo enveloping him and Amaterasu terrifying his enemies, Sasuke laughed wildly, as if he already stood above the heavens.
Until Killer B entered the battlefield and nearly beat Sasuke.
Obito complained briefly and quickly phased in to rescue him.
The Fourth Raikage stepped forward, lightning crackling across his entire body.
He stared at Obito. "Uchiha Obito, the Two-Tails is Kumogakure's Tailed Beast. We will never allow your Akatsuki to touch it."
Obito laughed disdainfully. His purple Rinnegan gazed at the Fourth Raikage as he said calmly,
"Raikage, Kairen destroyed the entire Land of Earth by himself. So tell me…"
"With the Rinnegan, to what extent can I trample the Land of Lightning?"
Hearing this, the Fourth Raikage's beard bristled with anger. "
You evil Uchiha, what do you take Kumogakure for?!"
As soon as he finished speaking, blue light erupted from his body. He tore through the air and rushed toward Obito at blinding speed.
The Fourth Raikage's attack was so fast that ordinary people couldn't even react, unable to see even a shadow.
But in Obito's Rinnegan, it was nothing.
Obito extended one hand, still carrying faint disdain.
"Kumogakure, let me see how much strength you have left."
...
More than ten minutes later.
Blood and corpses covered the ground like a plain trampled by a savage beast.
Obito wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and looked at the dim-eyed Fourth Raikage beneath his feet. Black rods of the Six Paths pierced his entire body.
The Raikage's face still carried disbelief, as if he had realized for the first time that there were always greater people beyond, and higher heavens beyond the sky.
Obito snorted. "The shallow vision of mortals will never see the world witnessed by the Sharingan."
"You—" The Fourth Raikage raised a finger with all his strength, pointing at Obito, but soon his head dropped unwillingly.
A generation of heroes had fallen.
"ROAR—"
A massive octopus-headed bull monster roared toward the sky and charged wildly at Obito.
Obito formed hand seals, and a demonic statue rose from the ground—the restored Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.
Standing atop it, Obito looked coldly at Kumogakure's forces.
"Today, Kumogakure will be erased!"
On a hidden stone peak nearby, a Crow watched calmly. Its red eyes slowly transformed into shuriken shapes.
"Obito… is too strong! The only one who can stop him is Kairen."
...
Compared to the tragedy of that battlefield, Kairen's war against the Land of Earth was nothing more than child's play—even bandits attacking Goose City would have been more intense.
Night fell quietly, catching people off guard.
Iwagakure was filled with joy and celebration.
Lanterns and decorations covered the entire village. Red lanterns and silk filled every corner, bringing warmth and life to the earth-colored hidden village.
Kairen wore a bright red robe with a red flower on his chest. Music played "Good Fortune Comes," making it feel like a festival.
Beside him, Kurotsuchi wore red and silver, with a crown and ceremonial robes.
After dressing up, the once heroic Kurotsuchi now possessed a gentle southern beauty that made people want to hold and protect her carefully.
Kurotsuchi twisted her body and complained to Kairen,
"What kind of clothes are these? They're so tight!"
Kairen smiled. "These are the clothes for entering the bridal chamber."
"Entering the bridal chamber?"
"Yes… it means doing some back-and-forth exercise."
Everyone was eating and drinking happily when suddenly a shadow clone rushed in.
"This is bad! This is bad!"
Kairen was drinking the ceremonial wine with Kurotsuchi. Hearing this, he immediately turned his gaze toward the Little Drill Wind shadow clone.
"What happened?"
The clone shouted, "Report! Kumogakure's main force has been completely wiped out. The Fourth Raikage is dead, and Killer B has been captured."
The other shadow clones immediately showed disdain.
"The Fourth Raikage was just a reckless brute. His death has nothing to do with us."
Kairen praised loudly, "That's right. Everyone—eat and drink!"
