High above, Lumine rode the thousand-year-old flowing winds, battling Dvalin.
To call it a battle was misleading; Lumine was merely in unilateral pursuit of Dvalin. Lumine, guided by the voice in her mind, condensed Anemo power to continuously attack the purple clots on Dvalin's back.
Dvalin seemed unwilling to fight Lumine, who was empowered by Venti; he simply evaded. However, Lumine, or rather Venti, persistently chased Dvalin without letting up.
"Is this the giant dragon Amber spoke of?" Lumine looked at the massive dragon in the distance, a slight unease in her heart. She hadn't expected to fight such a powerful foe so soon after waking up.
"Almost! This time, we might just be able to save Dvalin!" Venti exclaimed, seeing the toxic blood on Dvalin's back about to shatter, and immediately grew excited.
"Hey! Who exactly are you?!" Paimon heard the unfamiliar male voice again but still received no response.
This infuriated her, making her stomp her feet in her spatial pocket. Whenever a battle occurred, Paimon would retreat to her unique small space, refusing to come out no matter what.
Lumine was fully focused on battling Dvalin. Her power had not yet recovered, so she couldn't afford to be careless.
However, just as Lumine was about to continue her pursuit of Dvalin, Dvalin let out a roar, and Anemo power raged, blowing Lumine away.
Dvalin then accelerated and flew into the distance. Venti, seeing this, knew it was too late, so he controlled the flowing winds to blow Aether back to Mondstadt… "You guys are useless! Just a bit of wind blows you over?" Yu Jin muttered, helping the splayed-out crowd to their feet.
He hadn't paid much attention to Lumine's battle with Stormterror. With Venti present, he figured he didn't need to worry.
Yu Jin now suspected that Venti might have been behind Lumine being blown away. He had just noticed that only one person was blown into the air: the golden-haired Damselette he had seen.
"Hahaha, it seems everyone in our Guild needs more training!" Cyrus also helped the fallen people up.
Cyrus was one of the few who remained unaffected. He walked over to Yu Jin, his expression somewhat grave.
"It seems the Dragon Scourge is getting more serious. Now Stormterror can even conjure storms within the city. We shouldn't underestimate him."
"Indeed, but he must have used other powers," Yu Jin nodded, agreeing with Cyrus.
The elemental flow and Ley Line circulation within Teyvat's cities are the most stable in the region. At the same time, cities also have various methods to maintain this orderly state.
For Stormterror to forcibly break this order, even with the aid of other powers, his strength must be extraordinary.
"However, isn't this exactly the kind of work we need? Slaying a giant dragon—that sounds exciting!" Cyrus unexpectedly grew excited.
"I can already see a new era of Adventure approaching!" By the end, Cyrus was even gesticulating wildly.
The Adventurers' Guild always did odd jobs and was almost looked down upon. Now, they finally had a chance to hold their heads high!
Yu Jin glanced at his juniors clutching their rear ends, then at Cyrus, waving his fists, and felt that the Guild Master was a bit overconfident.
Cyrus looked at Yu Jin, seeing doubt through the gaps in his helmet. He immediately crossed his arms and said confidently, "Don't let my appearance fool you; back in the day, I slayed three giant dragons!"
"Besides, don't we still have you in our Guild?" Saying this, Cyrus patted Yu Jin.
Yu Jin grinned. He liked hearing that. He nodded, equally confident, "Of course, but it's not my turn yet. The elders always need to give the younger generation some opportunities to train."
"Ah? You're not planning to act?" Cyrus's confidence immediately wavered upon hearing that Yu Jin wasn't planning to act for now. He admitted that a large part of his confidence earlier was because Yu Jin was in Mondstadt.
As an Adventurer who had ventured into the Dark Sea and returned unharmed, Cyrus had great confidence in Yu Jin's strength.
"Just not planning to act for now. I think the Knights of Favonius should be able to handle this," Yu Jin looked at the still gloomy Sky. Stormterror's residual power had not completely dissipated.
Yu Jin then recalled the golden-haired Damselette who had fought Stormterror. He looked at Cyrus and asked, "Do you know the Damselette who fought Stormterror just now? She looks unfamiliar to me."
"If she's unfamiliar to you, why would you think I'd know her?" Cyrus felt Yu Jin was overestimating him. Yu Jin was the person with the best memory Cyrus had ever met.
No matter who it was, if Yu Jin had seen them once, he would immediately recognize them the next time. It had to be said that because of this trait, getting along with Yu Jin was naturally easier than with others.
"Because you both have golden hair."
"…"
Cyrus was beyond complaining about Yu Jin. He was already unreliable enough, and now with an even more unreliable Yu Jin, he began to worry about the Mondstadt Adventurers' Guild.
"Alright, I'm quite interested in a traveler who can fight a giant dragon," Yu Jin said, then bid farewell to the crowd and ran towards Mondstadt Square in the distance.
He had just seen Amber and that golden-haired Damselette. The "protagonist" of this world, Yu Jin felt it necessary to follow her.
Yu Jin could sense that this world was beginning to stir because of the arrival of that little golden-haired one.
"Amber, long time no see." Yu Jin first looked at Amber, who was skipping ahead, then at Lumine, who was following behind Amber, and also… a peculiar little one!
"Eh eh eh? Why am I flying so high?!" Paimon suddenly found herself flying higher. She was originally just floating by Lumine's shoulder, but now she was almost above Lumine's head.
Then she realized a pair of iron hands were grabbing the halo above her head and lifting her up.
"Wah! Who are you?!" Paimon immediately broke free from Yu Jin's hand and shrank behind Lumine.
"Haha, sorry, it's my first time seeing such a magical creature, I was too curious," Yu Jin apologized, looking at the somewhat scared Paimon.
"Lumine, and little Paimon, don't mind him. This Brother Yu Jin, he's a very good person, with no ill intentions," Amber quickly explained, seeing Lumine's wary expression.
She didn't want any misunderstanding to arise between Lumine and Yu Jin.
"Is that so? But you still can't just touch me! At least… at least… tell me before you touch me!" Paimon flew out from behind Lumine and nodded at Yu Jin. She still trusted Amber's words very much.
"Of course!" Yu Jin scratched his head. It seemed she really had no memory. He looked at Paimon; there were two dark marks on her pure white hair.
One was her quadrilateral hair ornament, and the other was caused by the Spear of Sunlight Yu Jin had thrown back then.
He had originally been curious why Paimon had his aura, but he hadn't expected that the Spear of Sunlight, after flying out, had actually hit Paimon's head.
However, this was a good outcome. If it were an ordinary person, they might not have been able to withstand Yu Jin's Spear of Sunlight.
"Yu Jin." Yu Jin looked at the golden-haired Damselette who was curiously examining him and extended his hand.
"Damselette who fought a giant dragon, your name?"
"Lumine." Lumine extended her hand and shook Yu Jin's. She only felt Yu Jin's iron hand was exceptionally rough, making her hand ache.
"Lumine, huh?" Yu Jin looked at Lumine. Her eyes were still filled with confusion and wariness.
A little one with something on her mind.
Yu Jin understood Lumine's current state with just one glance. He looked at Amber, Paimon, and Lumine, and asked:
"Amber, do you have any plans?"
"Plans?" Amber thought for a moment, then said, "First, find a place for Paimon and Lumine to stay. In a couple of days, they're going to meet Acting Grand Master Jean, so they need to get properly dressed up."
Amber looked at the dirt on Paimon and Lumine and thought they should wash up. Being dirty wasn't good.
Yu Jin smiled. Amber was still so enthusiastic. It seemed he was rather superfluous here, and he still had things to prepare anyway.
So Yu Jin waved to everyone and bid farewell, "It seems Amber has a plan in mind, so I won't disturb you. Bye-bye!"
"Bye-bye!" x3
Lumine watched Yu Jin walk away and curiously asked Amber, "Amber, what kind of person is he?"
"Yeah, yeah! I'm curious too!" Paimon also gathered around.
Amber pondered for a moment, then smiled and said, "Brother Yu Jin? Hmm… he's a reliable yet unconventional adult!"
