"Looks like this gate absolutely needs repairs," Yu Jin said, pretending to roll up his sleeves, looking as if he was about to exert himself to the fullest.
"Hmph! Taste my Great Flying Kick!" Yu Jin shouted, lowering his body, then suddenly charged out!
The move he usually used to kick the Deep finally appeared in the current world.
"Boom!" A violent roar echoed. The entire arena began to tremble. In the swirling dust, a ray of sunlight pierced through the smoke.
Everyone looked up and saw a huge archway where the thick stone wall of the arena once stood.
The uneven edges of the archway indicated that this "gate" had a rather special origin.
Then Yu Jin rushed through the archway, full of vigor.
"Alright, the gate is open. Follow me, it's very spacious inside!" Yu Jin enthusiastically waved his hand, then turned and ran back into the arena.
"Truly astonishing."
"Have we not been astonished enough?"
Jean and Diluc exchanged glances, then smiled and shook their heads. Since he was unfathomable, there was no need to delve into it.
"Hey! Hurry up!" Paimon, from a distance, called out to Jean and Diluc, who were still standing there. She seemed curious as to why they weren't following.
"Coming!" Jean responded, and then she and Diluc walked inside... The inner walls of the arena were very thick and trapezoidal. They were thinner at the top and thicker at the bottom, with the lowest level being the fighting ground.
The spectator stands were actually carved into the trapezoidal walls of the arena. The seats rose row by row, densely packed, with tens of thousands visible at a rough glance.
This made Jean somewhat shocked, but then came the worry. Mondstadt had no use for such a large building.
"Hey! Over here!" Yu Jin's voice came from above. Everyone looked up and saw Yu Jin sitting in the spectator stands above.
Climbing the nearby stairs to the spectator stands, the view became even wider. The huge, clean marble-paved plaza below was large enough for a Wind Dragon to fully display its power.
Dense rows of spectator stands surrounded the plaza from above. If they were filled with people, their shouts would echo through the Sky.
Huge things always awe people, and architecture is no exception. This arena had already gone beyond the scope of ordinary buildings; it should be called a wonder.
"How is it? The newly built Temple of the Thousand Winds is not bad, right!" Yu Jin spread his arms. Big is good, and good is big. He was very satisfied with his masterpiece.
"It's indeed not bad, but it seems too big. Mondstadt doesn't seem to have a use for such a large building." Jean nodded. Although they couldn't use it, it didn't matter.
The Temple of the Thousand Winds had been abandoned for a long time, and a renovation now was not bad. Although the style of this renovation was "a tiny bit" different from before.
"Uh…" Yu Jin scratched his head. He hadn't considered so much when building it; he only cared about its size.
But soon, Yu Jin thought of many good ideas. He said, "Open your mind! Such a large building can be used as a tourist attraction or a venue for some celebration."
"And it's so sturdy here; it can be used as the Knights of Favonius' training ground. I think your Knights of Favonius' training ground is quite shabby."
Yu Jin truly felt that the Knights of Favonius' training ground was shabby. The Knights of Favonius' training ground was on the edge of Mondstadt City, not only small but also lacking in training equipment.
The Knights of Favonius' training ground was open to Mondstadt residents, so every time Yu Jin and Ellin went, they couldn't help but complain.
Jean scratched her head a little awkwardly upon hearing this. The Knights of Favonius were very short-staffed now, and almost everyone had their own tasks.
The current training ground was almost becoming a place for Mondstadt's elderly to chat. There were hardly any people training, so naturally, maintenance was not given much attention.
"Tsk, troublesome. Although I'm not fond of the Knights of Favonius, if you ask, a few training grounds are still no problem." Diluc looked at the embarrassed Jean, already considering the location for a new training ground in his mind.
Unbeknownst to them, one of the functions of the arena built by Yu Jin had disappeared again. If this continued, it was estimated that this arena would only have the advantage of being visually stunning.
"Isn't that wrong? How is that a temple? There aren't any statues of Gods at all!" Paimon looked around. It was a very grand building, but wasn't calling it a temple a bit of a misnomer?
"Who said a temple must have statues of Gods?" Yu Jin retorted Paimon. A temple, a temple, could also be a palace built by a God.
As for whether any God would build a palace themselves, he didn't know if there were any before, but there certainly were now!
"Look! That kid Dvalin is here!" Lanssangx looked up at the Sky. As a dragon, she was more sensitive to changes in the Sky than others.
She could feel the Sky becoming fresh, and the wind began to flow lightly.
"Yo-ho! Looks like I'm still the last one!" Venti's lighthearted voice came from above.
A huge shadow appeared in the arena—Dvalin had arrived.
Everyone looked up and saw Venti standing right on Dvalin's head. His face was filled with an uncontrollable smile and ease.
Venti's face used to often carry a smile, but those smiles were more a part of his professional conduct as a bard.
Yu Jin, for one, didn't understand why a bard had to keep smiling.
There was always a hint of melancholy in those smiles, as if something was weighing on Venti's heart.
But it was different now; Venti's smile was from the heart. Perhaps it was because Mondstadt was now completely free of threats.
He could finally be a carefree wanderer!
"Dvalin, where is the poisoned blood on your back?" Yu Jin looked at Dvalin. His light feathers gently fluttered, meeting no resistance in the wind.
They shimmered with iridescent light, looking soft and smooth. There was no longer any sign of corrosion from poisoned blood.
"It was cleared, of course!" Venti jumped down from Dvalin, saying with a hint of pride.
After parting with Enjou and the others, Venti eagerly rushed to Stormterror's Lair and had a long talk with Dvalin all night.
Friends separated for so many years naturally had a lot to say; they just hadn't had the chance before.
"How was it cleared?" Yu Jin curiously asked Venti. Although the will contained within the poisoned blood had been cleared, the remaining power was still quite tricky.
That Venti could clear it was quite impressive.
"That, of course, is the power of love!" Venti, with a smile, answered Yu Jin using Yu Jin's own words.
That was more or less accurate. In confronting the Abyss, will and strength were both indispensable. And love could always give people infinite will.
Venti would never say that he actually wanted to compete with Yu Jin, which was why he cleared Dvalin's poisoned blood!
"Come, come, come, you be Radahn for me. See if I don't beat you to death!" Upon hearing this, Yu Jin's fists hardened again.
His Wind Dragon Festival had ended before it even began. He had gone to such trouble to build such a large arena.
Although Yu Jin said this, he merely waved his fist and then gave up. The Wind Dragon Festival or whatever, he didn't really care about it; he just wanted to have some fun.
As for the corrosion of creatures by the Abyss, Yu Jin felt that Enjou and the other three were enough for his research; there was no need to look at Dvalin again.
Not to mention, Yu Jin also found building this arena quite interesting. He had never seriously built a building before.
In the past, when he rested, he would pretty much just sit on the ground and that was it. Occasionally, he could even see rolling skulls, which was also a unique kind of scenery.
"Radahn? Who is that?" Venti was utterly confused. Could it be the true name of a God from another place?
"Never mind, you don't know him!" Yu Jin waved his hand, not explaining to Venti. Because he found it troublesome.
"Oh, right, didn't you say you wanted to beat me up? You can now, you know." Venti seemed to have thought of something and said to Yu Jin with a smile.
Yu Jin looked at Venti, who instantly appeared in the plaza below, and extended his hand.
"Tsk, the wind is picking up."
