"So, about those ancient secrets, tell me all about them!" Yu Jin looked at Andrius, who was lying on the ground, and poked his wolf face.
This guy isn't going to try and renege on our deal, is he?
"What's the rush? Let me recover!" Andrius rolled his eyes. Anyway, he completely stopped caring about his pride now—it was all gone just moments ago.
Why did he have a sudden brain cramp and decide to "test" Yu Jin earlier? Now it seemed like Yu Jin was clearly torturing him!
"Couldn't you have let me lose with a little more dignity just now?" Andrius looked at the calm Yu Jin, then at his own disheveled appearance, and couldn't help but ask with some indignation.
"I'm doing this for your own good." Yu Jin sat cross-legged and said to Andrius with a serious expression, "I saw your soul was bound here, and I wanted to help you break free."
"But unfortunately, it failed." Yu Jin spread his hands, looking as if he genuinely cared for Andrius's well-being.
"Thank you, really."
"You're welcome."
After a brief silence, Andrius raised his eyelids and said, "But I don't need it. As long as my kin are well, I am well."
"I can see that." Yu Jin nodded. Then he leaned closer and said to Andrius:
"Since you need to rest, I'll tell you the ancient secrets I've heard."
"Alright." Andrius yawned. What kind of secrets could there be from ancient times? They were probably just ordinary events amplified by time.
"It is said that in the primordial era, Teyvat had seven great kings..."
"Woof woof woof!"
"What the hell! What are you doing! Do you have rabies?"
Yu Jin looked at Andrius, who was covering his ears with two wolf paws and barking loudly, and was so startled he jumped up from the ground.
He heard that rabies has a 100% mortality rate once infected. Should he stay further away from Andrius?
Thinking this, Yu Jin quietly moved back two steps. Although rabies wouldn't affect him, he didn't want to have an extra mark on his backside.
Andrius's barking was very loud; he seemed to have used his power to make the resonant dog barks envelop the entire Wolvendom.
His pride was gone, so be it. He certainly didn't want to get hit by a Heavenly Nail.
Seeing that Andrius showed no signs of stopping, Yu Jin cupped his hands around his mouth like a megaphone and shouted loudly:
"What are you doing—, Andrius—"
Perhaps it was because the sound reached Andrius's covered ears, or maybe he simply got tired of shouting. Andrius finally lowered his paws, and the barking stopped.
"Let me tell you this first: I didn't hear anything at all. This topic ends here. If you bring it up again, I'll get angry with you!"
As soon as Andrius stopped barking, he issued a long string of disclaimers. Yu Jin found it all too familiar.
Oh! He remembered now. He was like this when he rejected Ranni's marriage proposal in the church.
Although he was the one who ran to the church with the engagement ring back then. But that really wasn't Yu Jin's fault; he just took the ring out of habit, being a bit mischievous.
Who told Ranni to put the engagement ring next to her mother? After Yu Jin gave Rennala a good beating back then, he thought it was equipment she dropped!
But it really was good equipment, allowing him to claim a Ranni with it.
"Alright, alright! No more talk!" Yu Jin waved his hand, interrupting his memories of those youthful days.
Since Andrius was so eager to avoid it, then so be it. After all, ancient matters were not as important as current ones.
"By the way, were those words I just said… very sensitive?" Influenced by Andrius, even Yu Jin became a bit sneaky.
"More than sensitive! Anyone who hears it will…" Andrius made a gesture of slitting his throat.
"Where did you hear that? Someone clearly wants to harm you!" Andrius looked at Yu Jin, shaking his head with some regret. Such a good person, what a pity.
"A big guy. He told me about it in the Dark Sea." Yu Jin gestured, indicating Kutri was very large.
Kutri was indeed very large; if stretched out, it could definitely circle Mondstadt.
"The Dark Sea? Phew—, that's good then. Don't mention this to anyone else again."
"Otherwise, not just you, but anyone who hears those words will also…" Andrius raised an eyebrow, not finishing his sentence.
Then he saw Yu Jin start stroking his chin. Andrius felt very uneasy; he had a very bad premonition.
"What are you thinking?" Andrius asked Yu Jin cautiously.
Most who had been to the Dark Sea weren't quite right in the head, and he feared Yu Jin was the same.
"I'm thinking, I have another ultimate move!"
"If anyone dares to provoke me, I'll go to their hometown and shout it out everywhere with a megaphone!"
Yu Jin excitedly clenched his fist. Can you withstand this move?
Andrius almost broke out in a sweat upon hearing it. He shouldn't have expected anything from Yu Jin; this guy clearly had problems in the head.
"Big brother, don't mess around. If you do that, wherever you go, that place will turn into a dead land." Andrius rubbed his forehead; his head ached now.
"That harsh?!" Yu Jin was surprised. Was this secret really that sensitive?
"Those people in the sky are that harsh!" Andrius bared his wolf fangs. If it weren't for them, he wouldn't have had to abandon his body.
"Sigh~, forget it." Yu Jin sighed with some disappointment, seeing that this ultimate move couldn't be used.
But he quickly composed himself. He had plenty of ultimate moves; one more or one less didn't make a difference.
"Actually, I know very little about ancient matters myself." Andrius looked at Yu Jin, who was motionless, thinking he was disappointed.
In fact, Yu Jin was thinking about whether he could write down what Kutri said on paper. In the future, if the Fatui or the Abyss Order came, he would post one for each!
"Oh, by the way, the fellow that girl is with should be from Liyue." Andrius thought Yu Jin was dissatisfied, so he continued.
"Liyue?" Yu Jin snapped back to attention. Apparently, Zhongli still had a commission, and he wondered if he had posted it yet.
"Yes, Liyue. As for who exactly, I'm not sure. Liyue has many more Gods than Mondstadt." Andrius nodded and added.
"Are you discussing Liyue? I can tell you about it!" Xiangling, who was in the distance, heard Yu Jin and Andrius's conversation and her ears twitched.
How lucky! She had just walked over and heard about Guoba's origins. She looked at Guoba, who was jumping up to tap Razor's knee with a chili pepper, and decided in her heart that she must investigate Guoba's past when she returned.
"It was only briefly mentioned." Yu Jin nodded. He had only stayed in Liyue for a while, and Andrius had never left Mondstadt in his current life. What could the two of them possibly talk about?
"Liyue has lots of delicious food! If Mister Yu Jin goes there, you can find me, and I'll definitely take you to taste all of Liyue's delicacies!" Xiangling pulled the boisterous Guoba back and said with a smile.
"Alright, I'm looking forward to it." Yu Jin replied indifferently. His mouth couldn't taste anything anyway; eating was a waste of time!
"I'll pass. Wolvendom is good." Andrius also nodded, but declined.
Setting aside whether he could even go, even if he did, his current appearance would be enough to make Liyue wary.
"Wolf King, here." Razor ran over, clutching his knee. He looked at the chili pepper in Guoba's hand with some trepidation. Why was this chili pepper so hard?
Looking at the skewer of meat Razor offered to his mouth, Andrius smiled and said, "Never mind, Razor, I don't need these tangible things."
Ultimately, he was currently just a soul. Besides retaining the most basic senses, all other higher senses had vanished.
And taste was one of the vanished senses.
"Train yourself well, Razor! I truly hope to see the day you pass the trial." Andrius, or rather, Boreas, stroked Razor's head and said so.
The Wolf King's paw was very warm, not at all like an ethereal spirit.
"Mhm, I will!" Razor felt the warmth on his head and nodded emphatically.
