Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 : Warehouse War

The black SUV convoy slowed outside a derelict warehouse, headlights cutting through fog and dust. The building looked abandoned, the kind of place the city had forgotten. But Dom Toretto knew better.

He stepped out of his Charger, Brian right behind him. Mr. Nobody exited another vehicle, flanked by his elite squad, all armed to the teeth.

"Signal says he's inside," Nobody muttered, scanning the shadows.

Dom's jaw was set, his eyes never blinking. "Then let's end this."

They entered cautiously, boots crunching over broken glass. The smell of oil, rust, and smoke hung heavy in the air.

And then they saw him.

At the centre of the warehouse sat Deckard Shaw, perfectly calm, cutting into a thick steak at a small table under a single hanging light. The contrast was almost mocking fine dining in a graveyard.

Shaw didn't look up until Dom and Brian were only a few yards away. Then he smirked.

"Took you long enough." He jabbed the knife into the table, leaning back in his chair. "You think you're hunting me. But I'm always hunting you."

Dom stepped closer, fists clenched. "You killed Han. You came after my family. That ends tonight."

Shaw stood, slow and deliberate, his eyes fixed on Dom like a predator sizing up prey. "Family. Always the word with you, isn't it? Shame they won't survive this."

Brian raised his pistol, tension crackling in the air. Before the standoff could ignite, a low rumble filled the warehouse. The ground trembled.

Rotor blades. Engines. Trucks.

"Movement outside!" one of Nobody's men shouted.

Floodlights cut through the darkness as Jakande's mercenary convoy swarmed the building. Armored SUVs slammed through the gates, doors flying open as soldiers in tactical gear poured out. Black helicopters hovered above, ropes dropping like vipers.

It was a trap.

"Positions!" Mr. Nobody barked. His men spread out, forming a defensive line, rifles aimed at the incoming threat.

Shaw smirked. "Told you. You're not the only ones hunting tonight." He snatched a compact SMG from under the table and dove into the shadows as the first shots rang out.

The warehouse erupted into chaos.

Gunfire flashed across the room. Mr. Nobody's squad returned fire, bullets sparking off steel beams and ricocheting into concrete. Brian dropped behind cover, firing in quick, precise bursts, while Dom charged headlong into the fray, fists and fury.

One merc rushed him Dom grabbed the man's rifle, wrenched it away, and smashed the butt across his jaw, dropping him cold. Another tried to flank, but Dom hurled a wrench straight into his chest, sending him sprawling.

Brian slid across the floor, shooting two mercs before they could pin Dom down. "I got you, brother!"

Above them, ropes dropped. Mercs rappelled in. The air filled with smoke and thunder.

In the chaos, Shaw moved like a ghost silent, precise, taking down two of Nobody's men with ruthless efficiency. He wasn't there to win the battle. He was there to vanish.

Mr. Nobody ducked behind an overturned table, firing his sidearm while directing his squad. "Keep them off the package! Hold them back!"

But Jakande's tech team was already advancing, their eyes locked on the silver case that contained the God's Eye.

Dom saw it, too. He plowed through mercs, roaring like an engine, determined not to let it slip away. He tackled one soldier, broke another's arm, and kicked a third into a support beam. His knuckles bled, but he didn't stop.

Brian sprinted to the case, sliding across the floor and scooping it up. "I've got it!" he shouted.

But before he could retreat, a merc truck smashed through the wall, blocking his escape. Gunfire forced him down. Brian cursed, rolling for cover as bullets shredded the floor around him.

Shaw appeared behind Brian, knife in hand. Brian barely reacted in time, blocking the strike with his forearm and countering with a knee to Shaw's gut. The two traded blows Brian fast and sharp, Shaw brutal and tactical. Shaw grabbed Brian, slammed him against a steel column, and hissed, "You're out of your depth, cop."

Brian spat blood, shoving him back. "I've been out of my depth since day one." He ducked as Shaw swung again, then landed a hard right to Shaw's jaw.

Dom barreled into the fight, knocking Shaw back with a shoulder tackle. But Shaw only smirked, tossing a flash grenade at their feet. Light and sound exploded, disorienting everyone. By the time the smoke cleared, Shaw was gone melted into the shadows once again.

And in that moment of confusion, Jakande's men struck.

One mercenary grabbed the case from the ground. Brian lunged, but another soldier blindsided him with the butt of a rifle. Dom tried to intercept, but suppressive fire forced him back.

Jakande himself stepped into the warehouse, calm as ever, his men clearing a path for him. He plucked the case from his soldier's hands and inspected it like a prize jewel.

"Magnificent," he said with a cold smile. "You've done the hard work for me, Toretto."

"Jakande!" Dom roared, charging through the chaos. He slammed into mercs, dropping them like bowling pins. He almost reached the warlord but a helicopter spotlight blinded him, and gunfire rained down, forcing him back into cover.

Brian tried to pursue, but grenades detonated at his feet, sending him flying into a stack of crates. Mr. Nobody's squad was in tatters, half his men down, the other half pinned.

Jakande turned, the case in his hand, and signaled. His helicopter lowered, ropes dangling. His mercs covered the retreat with relentless fire.

Dom growled in frustration, grabbing a fallen rifle and unloading at the chopper, but the bullets bounced harmlessly off its armor. The helicopter rose, Jakande climbing aboard, the God's Eye secure.

Within moments, the warehouse was left in silence smoke, blood, and the echoes of gunfire.

Mr. Nobody staggered out from cover, holding his bleeding shoulder. His calm demeanor was cracked, frustration etched across his face. "He has it. Jakande has the God's Eye."

Brian pulled himself to his feet, battered and bruised, exchanging a grim look with Dom.

Dom clenched his fists, eyes burning with rage. "Then we take it back. No matter what it takes."

The vow hung heavy in the air, sealing the crew's path forward.

And above, somewhere in the night sky, Jakande's helicopter disappeared with the power to watch the world.
