"A mark, to be my wife." His words echoed in Ayesha's head as she walked through the dim-lit halls of their mansion.
To some, it would be a "dream come true", however, she never found it was neither heartening nor comforting. Escape was the only thing that she thought of at that moment—and she… was determined to do so.
'I have to get out of here.'
For days, she examined every nook and cranny of the interior's layout—studying every single detail to make her plan as foolproof as possible. As she wandered around, she came across multiple traps and secret passageways, which she could use to her advantage.
Once Ayesha was certain to have memorized the mansion, she had decided to run away in the morning.
The description of vampires that everyone knew wasn't all true. The only facts about them are having no reflection, and their strength and speed—incomparable to that of a human's. Being unable to walk under the sun… was nothing but a foolish assumption.
Everyone was busy during Mondays. Mrs. (name) was kept in the drawing room by her friends. Beatrice would always be out in the woods, behind their home. Lily stays in the town square, socializing with kids her age. While Ischyrós, was always holed up in his study.
Just as she was about to make a run for it, a familiar voice whispered in her ear.
"Where are you going?"
Ayesha's heart dropped the moment that she felt his presence behind her. Ischyrós only raised an eyebrow in amusement, seeing how frightened the young woman was.
After that incident, he began to keep an even closer eye on her, following her wherever she went. She was once caught climbing out of her bedroom window, with him pulling her back inside.
"This is driving me insane!" Ayesha shrieked on the top of her lungs, her fingers tangled in her hair while she walked back and forth on the wooden floor.
"Why didn't he just kill me?! How does he even find me before I could make a run for it?! Every! Single! Time!" She complained, stomping harder, then scratching her head hard.
Suddenly, an idea popped up in her mind.
'I got it!'
