Chapter 65 - Things Have Calmed Down Lately

As a teacher, I, Cheng Rongyichiro, treat high-achieving students differently from the others.

For students like Nobita, who struggles, or Gian and Suneo, who are below average, I would usually rap on their desks to get their attention if they were caught sleeping in class or doing something unrelated to the lesson, reminding them to pay attention.

However, if Dekisugi or Lin Feng were the ones doing those things, the outcome might be different.

Giving these excellent students some leeway is nothing more than turning a blind eye for a teacher.

Since they can improve their grades through their own efforts, there's no need for teachers to be as strict with them as they are with the underachievers.

Moreover, I, Cheng Rongyichiro, have been observing Lin Feng's performance since the start of the semester.

His homework completion and test scores have been consistently excellent.

So, normally, if Lin Feng did something unimportant during class, I, Teacher Cheng Rongyichiro, wouldn't say much about it.

But speaking of which, Nobita seemed to be motivated recently, and the number of times he was late had significantly decreased.

Generally, when this happened, it was usually because Nobita's mother, Tamako Nobi, had been cleaning the house and found a zero-score test paper that Nobita had hidden.

Every time a zero-score test paper hidden by Nobita resurfaced, it was the moment Nobita was tied to the execution platform, awaiting judgment.

And the person who judged Nobita was none other than his mother, Tamako Nobi.

Although Tamako Nobi rarely physically punished Nobita, her scolding and lecturing skills were absolutely top-notch.

Her lectures often lasted for more than an hour or two, and the longest record was a continuous scolding of Nobita for 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 59 seconds.

For Nobita and Doraemon, who had made mistakes at home, Tamako Nobi's lectures were like a nightmarish shadow that they couldn't shake off.

Seeing how Nobita has been diligently attending school on time lately, it's probably because his zero-score test from a while back has been discovered by his mom, Tamako Nobi.

But this is good too. As long as Nobita doesn't randomly use Doraemon's gadgets to cause trouble, these warm and peaceful daily routines are quite enjoyable for Lin Feng.

Every morning, he walks and chats with Shizuka to school. They have lunch together at noon and rest. In the afternoon, they walk home from school together. After dinner in the evening, he goes upstairs to draw manga. When he's tired, he pets a cat and rests. He doesn't have to stay up late to meet deadlines.

Whenever he has nothing to do, he opens the system panel to check the accumulation of reputation points. When he has enough reputation points, he can draw a lottery to try his luck.

Tsk tsk tsk, the leisurely life of the next week has already begun to slowly emerge in Lin Feng's mind.

Judging by the current situation, as long as Lin Feng keeps in contact with Miyako Mangetsu, he can get the first-hand information about the asteroid's impending collision with Earth.

Which is the beginning of The Great Adventure in the Demon World storyline.

Holding this information in his hands is a very important matter. After all, if this matter isn't handled well, the planet might be destroyed.

As long as Lin Feng could control the trigger time for this plot, they could just take it one step at a time when other theatrical versions arrived.

Anyway, Lin Feng had the first-hand answers to clear the theatrical versions, so they could adapt to any situation and turn bad luck into good.

"Ahem, that's all for today's lesson. I hope all of you students will review today's material carefully after you get back and complete your homework."

"Yes, teacher!"

As the words of my teacher, Cheng Rongyichiro, fell, the students in the class responded in unison.

"Mm, very good. That's all for today then."

"Dismissed!"

After hearing the students' uniform response, my teacher, Cheng Rongyichiro, nodded with satisfaction, then left the classroom with his books.

"Lin Feng, are you in a hurry to go home after school today?"

The other students were already packing up their bags and leaving the classroom.

Shizuka, while tidying her things, smiled and asked Lin Feng, who was beside her.

"After school?"

"Well, I wouldn't say I'm in a hurry, but I might stop by to buy some things on the way home, I suppose."

After hearing Shizuka's question, Lin Feng thought for a moment and then answered with a smile.

"Buy things?"

"Yeah, there have been some changes at home, so I didn't prepare some things in advance. I can only go buy them now."

Speaking of the changes in his home, Lin Feng was somewhat helpless.

The biggest change, in fact, was that the system had given him Chachamaru, a living pet, in yesterday's lottery.

Although Lin Feng wasn't exactly thrilled about this new member of the family.

But Chachamaru was, after all, the strongest Cat Pillar from Demon Slayer, and it was very understanding, so it had to have at least a basic presence.

Now, Lin Feng had to take care not only of his own food but also Chachamaru's share.

So later, Lin Feng would not only need to buy some groceries but also had to go to a pet store to prepare some things for the cat overlord.

"Some changes?"

"What changes? Lin Feng, has something happened at your home?"

Shizuka knew very well that Lin Feng always lived alone.

So when she heard Lin Feng say that something had changed at his home, she looked at him with some concern, thinking that something might have happened.

As a result, she unconsciously omitted the honorific for "classmate."

From this, it could be seen that Shizuka's concern for Lin Feng was slowly starting to exceed the feelings between classmates.

"It's nothing, Shizuka, don't misunderstand."

"The 'change' I mentioned might be a little different from what you're thinking."

To avoid Shizuka misunderstanding, Lin Feng gave a slightly helpless bitter smile, and then began to explain.

"Why don't you tell me what's going on first? I'm not in that much of a hurry to go shopping."

Compared to his own affairs, Lin Feng was more curious about why Shizuka had suddenly contacted him.

If Shizuka's matter was important, then taking care of it first wouldn't be a problem. Buying those things wouldn't take long anyway.
