"Lin Feng, Gian just came looking for you. What did he want?"
Seeing Gian approach cautiously and then leave a short while later, beaming with happiness, Shizuka asked Lin Feng out of curiosity.
Because Gian had spoken in a very low voice just now, whispering close to Lin Feng's ear.
So even though she was sitting right beside them, Shizuka hadn't heard the content of their conversation clearly.
But judging by Gian's happy expression, it was probably that Lin Feng had agreed to help him with something.
"It's nothing much. Gian just wanted me to sign something for his sister and leave a few words for her."
Facing Shizuka's curiosity, Lin Feng explained with a smile.
This was a simple matter for him, nothing more than a casual favor.
Lin Feng did have some recollection of Gian's younger sister, Jasmine.
Compared to Gian's boisterous, rough, and easily angered personality, his sister Jasmine was much quieter and more refined.
Most importantly, Jasmine was also a girl who really liked manga and often drew her own at home.
However, she didn't seem to have much confidence in her own drawings.
In the original story, Gian often took Jasmine's manga to force Nobita and Doraemon to read them, even demanding they give positive reviews.
To be honest, Jasmine's talent for drawing manga wasn't particularly outstanding, only at an average level.
So, seeing his sister Jasmine become more and more despondent each day, Gian was also somewhat anxious.
However, it just so happened that Lin Feng's Demon Slayer manga, published in Weekly Shonen, had successfully caught Jasmine's attention.
Seeing that Jasmine was interested in Demon Slayer, Gian came up with an idea.
He wanted Lin Feng, the creator of Demon Slayer, to personally sign a copy for Jasmine, and then write some encouraging words. This, he thought, would cheer up Jasmine, who had been feeling a bit down lately.
It had to be said, Gian's idea was pretty good. Whether it would actually have any noticeable effect remained to be seen.
But since Gian, as a classmate, had come to ask Lin Feng, and the request wasn't unreasonable, Lin Feng readily agreed.
It was just signing a name and writing some encouraging words; it was a very simple matter for Lin Feng.
"So it's because of Jasmine..."
When Lin Feng told Shizuka about it, she also suddenly understood.
If the person Gian was so diligently concerned about was Jasmine, then his actions just now wouldn't be surprising.
It was well-known that Gian was a complete siscon; he doted on his only sister.
After figuring this out, Shizuka didn't ask any more questions, as it was almost time for class.
"Alright, that's it for today's lesson. Before school lets out, the teacher has something very important to announce, so please listen carefully, everyone."
After the last class of the afternoon, Mr. Eiichiro Ise didn't dismiss the students and let them go home as usual, but instead kept them in the classroom.
"According to the latest weather forecast from the meteorological station, a typhoon is about to hit this local area."
"So, for safety's sake, the school has decided to give everyone a week-long holiday, so you can all rest at home."
Eiichiro Ise's words had just fallen, and a cheer erupted in the classroom.
Holidays were something every student longed for.
Perhaps for those with excellent grades, it didn't matter much. After all, they could study well whether at school or at home.
But for students whose grades weren't so great, being able to happily play at home during the holidays was the most comfortable thing ever!
"Yay... Holidays are the best...!"
Like the other classmates, Nobita, too, couldn't help but let out the cheer that was bubbling up inside him.
"Nobita Nobi! Why are you so happy?"
"Even on holiday at home, you still need to complete your assigned work and homework, understood!"
The others were happy and cheering, which was fine, but Nobita, the guy who never finished his homework and always scored zero on tests, was also ecstatic. In fact, he was even more excited than everyone else.
This was something that Eiichiro Ise, the teacher, couldn't stand.
So, he decisively reprimanded Nobita, making him understand his place.
"Yes, sir..."
Being publicly criticized by the teacher instantly deflated Nobita, who had been a little carried away.
Seeing Nobita's crestfallen expression, Gian and Suneo covered their mouths and snickered.
However, with Nobita as a cautionary example, they didn't dare laugh too loudly, lest the teacher notice and criticize them in front of everyone, which wouldn't be fun.
"So, a typhoon is really coming..."
After hearing Eiichiro Ise sensei's announcement about the temporary school closure, Lin Feng was deep in thought.
Miyako Mitsuki had already warned him that a typhoon might hit in the next few days. He hadn't expected the school to get the closure notice so quickly.
Speaking of which, Nihon's emergency measures were quite good, probably related to the frequent geological disasters that occurred there.
So, once any natural disaster was detected, some emergency evacuation plans would be immediately activated.
"Alright, the same goes for the other students. Although the school is temporarily closed, it's best not to slack off on your studies. Do you all understand?"
"Understood...!"
"Good, very good. Class dismissed!"
Eiichiro Ise sensei nodded in satisfaction after seeing the students' uniform response, then left the classroom with his books.
After Eiichiro Ise-sensei walked away, the classroom predictably became a bit noisy again.
There was nothing to be done about it; after all, for students, nothing was more exciting than the school being closed for a holiday. It meant they had more time to play.
However, because of the approaching typhoon, they couldn't go out and play freely. At most, they could stay home and watch TV or catch up on some manga.
