"A ghost that can win people's hearts? I doubt it."

Iguro Obanai had somehow climbed onto a tree branch, his heterochromatic eyes fixed on me coldly.

"What a cute little thing… but it's a shame he's a ghost."

Kanroji Mitsuri spoke softly, glancing shyly at me, though her eyes flicked toward Obanai for a moment.

"This… really isn't impressive at all."

Uzui Tengen held his forehead with one hand, his crimson eyes staring at me, the red makeup around his left eye standing out sharply.

Butterfly Kanae just smiled faintly, saying nothing.

At that moment, Giyu Tomioka stopped chatting with Kyojuro and approached the crowd. He held out his hand.

I grabbed it immediately, feeling like I'd found a life raft. Muichiro released me at the same time, and Giyu pulled both me and the umbrella out of the crowd with surprising strength.

"I'm sorry, everyone. Now is not the time for greetings. I haven't finished the task the Lord gave me."

He lifted me onto his shoulders, walked to the shadowed part of the courtyard, gently set Nezuko's box down, and returned to standing.

"Is this the ghost Giyu is protecting? He doesn't look special!"

Kyojuro's voice rang out, strong and full of energy.

Then, a soft, gentle voice floated across the courtyard:

"Is everyone here? My brave swordsmen."

Ubuyashiki Kazuya stepped forward, led by two identical children. The remaining Hashira knelt on one knee as soon as he appeared, bowing in unison.

"Greetings, my Lord!"

Despite the faint purple lines on his face, Ubuyashiki Kazuya radiated kindness and calm.

"You are… Chijo, right?" I asked quietly.

"Yes. And… I'm to your left."

The two children immediately guided him closer.

"…Really? My apologies," he said softly.

I ignored small talk and went straight to the point.

"Lord Ubuyashiki, are you a subordinate of Muzan Kibutsuji?"

He blinked, startled at the directness of the question.

"No," I replied honestly. After all, I am Muzan.

Ubuyashiki Kazuya fell silent for a moment, then asked again, carefully:

"Are you truly from the Brahma Palace clan?"

"Yes," I answered simply.

He paused, his usual smile unchanging, but his mood seemed heavier.

"Then… may I ask, why did you become a demon?" His voice was calm, but tinged with real concern.

Everyone present looked up at their Lord, curiosity shining in their eyes—even Yoriichi.

I thought carefully. This question couldn't be answered.

"…I'm sorry. I cannot answer that."

Ubuyashiki Kazuya sighed quietly, perhaps guessing at my situation. I continued, lowering the umbrella as my cells shifted my appearance and clothing back to my normal form.

"I could turn you back to a normal person… in one day," I said, emphasizing the word "normal."

He didn't seem surprised. His calm composure remained.

"Thank you for your kindness, but someone like me… it may not help. I know you have a blood demon technique that heals injuries, but this isn't a disease, nor an injury. It's a curse."

"I know," I said. "I'm aware it's a curse. One day won't hurt to try."

"Stop!"

A knife pressed against the side of my neck. Curved, double-edged, purple with a serpent pattern—Iguro Obanai had appeared. Uzui Tengen stood nearby, ready for anything.

Giyu gritted his teeth and drew his Nichirin blade, preparing to attack.

I remained calm, letting the red light of my blood demon art flow over Ubuyashiki Kazuya, covering him gently.

Obanai's strike froze mid-air, his body unable to move. The red light crept along, pinning him, Tengen, and even Fushigawa Minoru's feet in place.

"…I haven't threatened anyone's life," I said smugly, glancing at Yoriichi.

"I didn't intervene either," Giyu replied quietly, though unease lingered in his eyes.

I released the red light. The twins helped Ubuyashiki Kazuya steady himself.

The purple lines on his face vanished. His eyesight, long impaired, returned fully. Pain and fatigue disappeared. He stood there, stunned, bathed in sunlight for the first time in ages.

"One day… feel life anew within it," I said gently.

He took a deep breath, saluted, and spoke clearly:

"Thank you."

A soft piano note floated through the air. I smirked at Giyu.

"You fell for it~"

Yoriichi moved at once, rushing toward me. But before he could reach me, I vanished, leaving only my scent behind.

Somewhere else…

Mingnu knelt on a tatami mat, a pipa in front of her. She plucked the strings lightly, paused, and bowed as I appeared before her.

"It's… me. I'm back!"

I slowly stood up. It felt so good to finally have no one watching me or restricting my movements.

I looked at Mingnu and gave her a faint smile, silently telling her she had done well. Then I took out a silver token. A red light floated around it, suspending it in the air.

"Send this to him, and gather the Lower Moons," I said.

With that, I vanished, leaving Mingnu, the token, and a floating eyeball behind.

Mingnu didn't hesitate. Even though she didn't fully understand why, she followed my instructions and plucked the pipa strings.

"?—?"

The moment the notes rang out, the token disappeared. Five lower-rank demons appeared instantly in the same spot, their eyes filled with confusion and suspicion.

Why am I here? Where is this place? Who is this ghost playing the pipa in front of me?

I was back in my room.

I sank into my rocking chair, feeling the comfort of being home. But I wasn't smiling—there was a heavy weight on my chest. My fingers pressed against my temples, eyes half-closed, seeing the world as my own eyes did.

"I wanted to do it myself, but some things are better left to those who know them well."

Mingnu ignored the ghosts and kept her steady posture. Then, as if receiving a signal, she lifted her right hand.

"?"

The pipa strings sounded again. In front of the Lower Moons, a figure appeared, hands clasped behind his back.

He carried a human presence—but a stronger, ghostly aura surrounded him. His faceless mask hid all features.

"Are you all here?" His voice was hoarse, deep, and commanding—like a man in his seventies, yet full of power.

"All present, Lord Brahma," Mingnu replied.

The Lower Moons fell to the ground at once, fear flashing in their eyes. They clearly recognized him, and their terror was palpable.

The Brahma family had been discovered and controlled by Kokushibo. Only two remained—and this one before them was one of them. Like the Twelve Kizuki, they manage the waning moon, their true forms human.

"I wonder… why has the Lord summoned us?"

"Follow his orders. Eliminate the Lower Moons!"

The figure, Brahma Shiye, vanished and reappeared before the Lower Moons. He held a blade, black as night, shaped like a Nichirin Sword, but absorbing all light.

Swish—!

He swung, instantly severing the head of Lower Six. The demon barely reacted before fading into nothingness.

The remaining three Lower Moons, except for Nightmare, bolted in all directions. Survival was their only thought.

Shiye stood still, voice cold and steady: "Blood Demon Technique: Tian Yin."

A black sphere formed in his hand, sucking in everything like a black hole. Three dark lines shot out, piercing the fleeing Lower Moons, drawing them back toward the sphere.

He crushed the orb, then, without hesitation, swung his sword. The heads of the demons fell. As they hit the ground, he kicked them, splitting them further until only a few drops of blood fell.

Swish! Slash!

His faceless mask and clothes were drenched in blood, yet he didn't flinch. He approached Nightmare, who hadn't fled, nodded, and pulled out a syringe filled with crimson blood.

"This is the blood the Lord gave you. Use your life to serve Him!"

He plunged the syringe into Nightmare's neck. Pain and suffering vanished instantly. The blood stains on the floor disappeared. A door materialized before Shiye.

He put away his sword, handed the token to Mingnu, pushed open the door, glanced at the floating eyeballs above, and stepped through. In an instant, he vanished.
