"Don't even think of interfering in the trial." Varrick's voice as low and failing to conceal the threat it had in them.
The princess tightened her grip on the hilt of her dagger, she could feel it throbbing under her skin. "A hexacore chronicles has awakened, if we don't stop it they will all die."
Varrick barely flinched at her words. "Interrupting a trial would be against the rules of the tower."
The princess gave him one enraged look, her eyes blazing. "Good thing I'm not bound to that constraint." As she said this she kicked the air behind her with her feathered boots and started to plummet down to the ground at an insane speed.
She would have made it to the ground in a minute or so without any interruptions. Her prefect decline was knocked off course by funnel of wind, she spun very fast in the air against her wish. A low grunt left her lungs as she barely managed to stabilise herself in the sky.
