Chapter 2 - JEFF BOZO

Jeff Bozo considered himself a regular guy. He had a good childhood with a great family. His grades had been good at school, although not perfect. He used to have many friends, but fell out of contact with most of them after university.

He got a degree after a respectable amount of effort. Found a job after a tolerable amount of struggle. With that, his Life settled into a cycle, filled with Frustrations and comforts alike, only interrupted by vacations and meet-ups with friends.

Trying. Failing. Trying again. Sometimes succeeding.

It sounded like a decent life.

It was. He just hadn't really accepted that.

Jeff, like everyone, wanted more. Not desperately so, but rather out of fear of missing out. Even though he had succeeded High school. Even though he had managed to get himself a degree.

He fixated on the effort it had took to get there. He wished it could have been easier, had he only done things differently.

'Had i studied seriously since childhood, i'd have gotten better grades.'

'Had my personality been different, i'd have made more friends.'

Everything would have been better, if he had done things differently. Even though his joyful childhood might have ben a bit less happy, he'd be in a better position in Life.

He would be happier.

"...hnngh.."

Effort, for him had paid off. So, had he put in more effort, it'd have paid off more.

'Had i trained more, i'd have dodged that...'

Still, seeing the memories of himself as a child, made him question his entire mindset. All those times he went to laugh and play instead of studying ran through his mind, as if showing him that golden childhood of his.

"...ir? Sir? Please wake up! Are you all right?"

"nNhhh..."

The voice of the woman tore him out of his musings. A groan escaped him as he attempted to answer.

The pale woman only shook him harder, worry prevalent in her eyes. Someone screamed something at her, telling her to stop shaking, but he didn't manage to locate the voice.

Then, his eyes saw the wheel.

It was the wheel of a car, clearly not attached and stained with red liquid.

He wondered what it did here. Then, remembered the pain on his head.

'...thats stu..pid.'

His vision narrowed and a blackness crept in. Woman and man surrounded him, but he struggled to understand what they were doing.

Moments after, his vision went dark.
