Chapter 36 - "Muzan Kibutsuji’s Defeat"

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Demon Slayer Corps vs. Muzan Kibutsuji.

A battle that had raged across a thousand years was finally reaching its end.

Even decapitation couldn't kill him—the ultimate demon, Muzan.

The only thing the Demon Slayers could do was hold him off until sunrise.

One hour and thirty minutes until dawn.

Tanjiro had fallen, poisoned by the lethal blood of the Demon King.

But more and more Demon Slayers kept charging in, wave after wave.

They all knew they were cannon fodder—and none of them hesitated.

After being protected by the Hashira countless times, this was their turn to be the shields.

One hour and fourteen minutes until dawn.

The Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, collapsed with grave injuries.

Only the Serpent, Wind, Water, and Stone Hashira remained, fighting desperately.

The situation grew bleaker by the second.

Then—at the crucial moment—a small cat appeared, carrying Tamayo's antidote.

It suppressed the demon poison in the Hashira's bodies, buying them a moment's respite.

New allies arrived soon after: Kanao, Inosuke, and Zenitsu—hidden by Tamayo's blood demon art.

The Serpent Hashira, Iguro, unleashed his full power at the brink of death—his Demon Slayer Mark and bright red blade flaring to life.

Beside him, the Stone Hashira swung his chained axe and flail, the dark metal glowing blood-red.

"Tomioka! Catch this strike!"

Sanemi Shinazugawa roared, slashing toward Giyu Tomioka.

Clang!

Their blades collided, and in that instant—both Nichirin blades ignited crimson.

One hour and three minutes until dawn!

"Hold on! You can do it, Demon Slayer Corps!"

"Dawn's almost here—don't give up!"

"One last hour! Victory is within reach!"

Across infinite worlds, people clenched their fists, hearts pounding as they watched and waited.

And then—

Everyone's eyes widened.

Too fast.

In the blink of an eye, Muzan's assault doubled in speed and ferocity.

The Demon Slayers who had been barely keeping up were all sent flying—limbs torn, bodies broken.

"No… it's over…"

"He's too strong…!"

"They've done their best, but…"

"If only they hadn't been so exhausted from the Infinity Castle battle—maybe…"

"They're all going to die!"

Despair rippled across worlds.

"No! It's not over yet! There's still hope!"

From the world of shinobi, Naruto's eyes lit up.

"Look—Tanjiro's getting back up!"

Across countless realms, heroes shouted: Gon, Natsu, Luffy—all cheering as one.

"Hinokami Kagura—Brilliant Sunlight Grace!"

A flash like the sun itself blazed across the battlefield, saving Kanao in the nick of time.

"Let's finish this, Muzan."

Tanjiro's voice was calm. Resolute.

Through the memories of his ancestors, he had seen it—the flawless Breath of the Sun as used by Yoriichi Tsugikuni.

And he finally understood: the thirteenth form was a perfect cycle, all twelve forms linked seamlessly together.

Burn your heart.

Surpass your limits.

Tanjiro and Muzan's final one-on-one battle began.

His Mark burned bright.

His blade glowed red.

Each strike flowed into the next—unceasing, unstoppable.

It was agony, but Tanjiro refused to fall.

Fifty minutes until dawn.

Blind and bloodied, Iguro returned to the fight.

Together, they pressed Muzan harder and harder.

"If this keeps up… they might actually win," someone murmured.

"Look—Muzan's slowing down. His movements, his wounds—it's all catching up to him!"

From another world, Gojo Satoru smirked.

"The change in his color, the hesitation in his strikes, the tremor in his heart… the moment Muzan thought of running, the outcome was sealed."

In yet another realm, Meliodas chuckled.

"Not a bad way to spend a break—watching a tyrant meet his end."

And upon his golden throne, Gilgamesh swirled a cup of crimson wine.

Twenty-five minutes until dawn.

Muzan unleashed another devastating shockwave, knocking Tanjiro down once more, his body convulsing in pain.

But before Muzan could finish him, Inosuke and Zenitsu stepped forward again, blocking the Demon King's path.

Tanjiro, gasping for air, drove his Nichirin blade into his own thigh to stop the spasms, forcing himself back up.

The three of them—bloody, broken, unyielding—stood shoulder to shoulder.

Across the worlds, countless parents wept.

Children their age should've been in school, carefree.

Yet here they were—risking everything to protect others.

No reward. No glory.

Without this broadcast, no one would ever have known their names.

Their heroism would've vanished in the dark.

"Keep going, Tanjiro!"

"Hold on, Demon Slayers!"

"Your bravery will never be forgotten!"

"End Muzan! End him for good!"

Across all worlds, countless voices roared as one.

One minute until dawn.

Tanjiro pinned Muzan to the wall with his blade.

Mitsuri rejoined the fray, tearing off Muzan's arm with her bare hands.

Sanemi and the one-armed Giyu rushed in to assist.

And finally—

Dawn broke.

Sunlight spilled across the battlefield.

Realizing the danger, Muzan's body swelled grotesquely, transforming into a massive, deformed infant—hiding his core within.

The endgame had come.

Every remaining Slayer charged.

They forced the monstrous form into the light.

"Raaaah!"

With his shattered leg, Gyomei Himejima wrapped his chains around the giant, holding it in place with the last of his strength.

The Water, Wind, and Serpent Hashira struck together—joined by Tanjiro, fighting from inside the monster itself.

And then—

The giant broke apart.

Muzan shattered.

After a thousand years, the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji, was gone—reduced to ash beneath the morning sun.

The Demon Slayer Corps…

had finally won.

"..."
