Chapter 38 - Chapter 38

"Silly goose~."

"Bad guy!."

"Oh, by the way, I took a photo of Yukinoshita-san. Do you want to see it?" Akira asked.

"Eh? A photo of Yukinon?" Yuigahama Yui looked a little surprised.

"Well, it's a very cute photo, the kind that Yui would definitely like," Akira said, nodding confidently.

"Really? Then send it to me quickly," Yui said quickly, as her eyes lighting up.

"Take a photo of yourself in exchange."

"I..I see." Yui reply shyly.

"The video call ends here. Once you send me the photos you've selected, I'll send you Yukinoshita's photo," Akira said.

"Don't stay awake for too long, Akira-kun," Yui said, concern in her voice.

Akira nodded and ended the video call. He then took out his manga supplies and continued drawing.

Ten minutes later, Akira received a photo from Yuigahama Yui. The caption read: "This was taken in front of Yuigahama Yui's home when she first wore her Sobu High School uniform."

There was little difference between Yui in this photo and now, but her smile was still irresistibly cute.

Akira sent Yui the photo of Yukinoshita Yukino, then set Yui's photo as his wallpaper. He took a screenshot and sent it to her as well.

...

The next morning,

On the way to school, Akira happened to meet Yukino again.

This time, he didn't comment on the coincidence; he simply looked at her quietly.

When Yukino saw Akira, she remembered what had happened the night before, and her face flushed slightly.

"Good morning," Akira greeted.

"Good… good morning," Yukino said softly, avoiding his gaze, and walked toward the school.

Akira followed behind her. The two changed their shoes at the shoe cabinet and went upstairs together.

Akira took a few steps, thinking about the story of Sakura Tree Mashiro, and glanced at Yukino's skirt.

She seemed to notice his gaze, turning her head to look at him with an embarrassed and annoyed expression. Seeing this, Akira immediately withdrew his gaze.

Yukino's face grew warm as she recalled the memory he must have retained. This man definitely remembers…

They continued upstairs. Akira went to his classroom, while Yukino took out her phone and sent a message, the blush on her cheeks gradually fading.

---

Akira arrived in his classroom and walked to his seat. Yuigahama Yui approached with a smile, put down her lunch box, and took out her phone.

"Want my photo?" Akira asked her.

Yui nodded, a little shy. She had been happy all night seeing her photo as Akira's wallpaper and now wanted to exchange photos in return.

"When we go on a date, I'll give you the chance to take a photo, but forget about school," Akira said, shaking his head.

"But—" Yui hesitated.

"I've handed over all animation matters to Yukinoshita-san. If everything goes well on Saturday, we should be able to go on a date," Akira interrupted her softly.

"Really?" Yui's face lit up with joy.

"Think about where you want to go in advance, and I'll take you there. I have no dating experience, so if I were to choose, it would definitely be an amusement park or a cinema," Akira explained.

"The amusement park and cinema are fine," Yui said eagerly, hands behind her back in anticipation.

"I feel amusement parks are more for children," Akira said, glancing at Yui, mainly at her chest, which were definitely not childish.

"Akira-kun, you're such a bad guy!," Yui said, turning her head away in embarrassment.

Akira reached out and held her small hand. Yui's face turned even redder. A few minutes later, Akira released her hand.

"Class is about to start. Go back to your seat. During lunch break, let's go to the service club for lunch."

"Ok," Yui nodded and walked back to her seat.

...

By the end of the first class, Akira saw a message from Yukinoshita Yukino:

"Don't you dare draw what you saw yesterday into your manga,"

It was clear Yukino remembered his special memory ability. Akira smiled, gazing at the cherry trees outside the window before thinking of a reply.

....

In Yukino's classroom,

After class, she glanced at her phone repeatedly, anxious to see what Akira had replied.

Finally, she saw his message:

"That's a memory I cherish, and I don't want to share it with anyone. At that moment, I felt blessed by the goddess of luck."

Yukino felt her face growing hot as she read it. This guy… she couldn't quite describe her feelings.

Angry? Not really—more like shy and flustered. Akira's words made her want to step on him a few times, but she realized she couldn't. Even telling Yui might lead to misunderstandings and embarrassment.

.....

Lunch Break,

Akira, Yui, Yukino could be seen having lunch together at the rooftop.

Yukino was feeling complicated, as she was thinking about Akira's message.

When suddenly —

"Yukinon, look at this," Yui's voice interrupted her thoughts.

Yukino looked up and froze. When she show the photo that Yui was showing her.

"Yuigahama-san, this is…"

"I think the photo of Yukinon taken by Akira is adorable. I like it a lot. Can I keep it forever?" Yui asked brightly.

Yukino was stunned. What is happening? Why is that photo with Yuigahama-san!!

She glared at Akira, puzzled.

"I used this photo to exchange for a photo of Yui. Of course, she admires your appearance just as I do," Akira explained casually.

Yukino opened her mouth and looked at Yui.

"Yukinon, pleaseeee, let me keep it," Yui said with a cute smile.

"You can keep it. And if you really want my photo, you can come to my house and pick one from my album." Yukino said sigh softly.

"Really? Thank you, Yukinon!!" Yui said, surprised.

"You're welcome. When I go to your house, I'll also choose a photo from your album," Yukino said.

"No problem, if Yukino likes, you can take as many as you want!," Yui replied, smiling.

"Just one is enough," Yukino said, shaking her head.

After that, everyone began eating lunch.

Yui's closeness to Yukino seemed almost clingy, making Yukino slightly uncomfortable. However, she didn't refuse and even shared her side dishes with Yui.

.....

After lunch,

Akira have took over tutoring Yukino. She had already guided Yui, Ebina Hina, and Miura Yumiko with their homework, having already prepared their study materials.

Akira reviewed Yukino's tutoring notes and memorized them completely in just one class. In the next class, he read a reference book—not about manga, but records of supervisor interviews.

...

After school,

Akira came to the service club with the three girls. Yukino had already left for Flash Animation Production Company.

Akira glanced at their seats and began tutoring. Yui had initially doubted Akira's academic ability compared to Yukino, but he quickly proved her wrong when he point out everyone's mistakes without looking at the book.

This showed exactly how capable Akira Fujimiya was—and it left a strong impression on everyone present.
